Love that it has gluten free buns for the sandwiches, there are some soup options that are gluten free and the salad bar has a decent selection, and you can't forget the ice cream. It's clean, the service is nice and the pricing is decent.

My wife and I have had many meals here. They are clear and intentional about gluten free options and how they handle them, which I appreciate. When it comes to Southern food it's generally something I avoid as flour is so central to what makes it great.

Having gluten free, dairy free empanadas was nice. The chicken was tasty, but the beef was too salty and tasted like cheap taco beef. I only had 2 and I think 4 would make a decent meal, but a bit expensive for what it was.

I’ve never had a bad thing from hungry hatch. If you’re sick of simple macro bowls or out and about and don’t want fast food this place has your back. I feel like you get enough bang for your buck and they never skimp on ingredients and toppings. The staff are really friendly and the food comes out quickly. I have been lots of times. Frankly my opinion is people call it bland in negative reviews because either a) they’re not used to healthy food aka not doused in salt and msg b) they’re the drown it all in hot sauce type of people. I said what I said. *shrugs* Either way this place is amazing and I wish I had their shredded chicken recipe. They’re so nice, easy to support local, and they have a good variety of dietary options for all. It’s so hard to find gluten free or vegan or vegetarian that also has meat options so everyone is happy.

Insomnia Cookies has the best gluten-free cookie I’ve ever had! Every bite is soft, chewy, and packed with flavor. It’s hard to believe it’s gluten-free because the texture and taste are just like a traditional cookie, if not better. They offer a great variety of flavors, and every time I indulge, it’s a treat I can count on to satisfy my sweet tooth. Plus, the staff is always friendly, and I love how they deliver fresh, warm cookies late into the night. Whether you’re craving a late-night snack or a midday pick-me-up, Insomnia Cookies is the place to go! Highly recommend!

I have to throw a huge shout out to the staff at this location for being absolutely excellent! I have terrible food allergies and placed an order online for a gluten free sandwich. I ordered a new menu item and didn't realize a specific seasoning on the new sandwich contained gluten but they did and as soon as I walked in to pickup my carry out order they asked if it was a preference or an allergy. They were amazing and made me a new sandwich immediately. They literally saved my ass being knowledgeable about food allergens! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This is the *PLACE*. My coworker told me an Indian place had moved into Parlor since we had been last and I was SOLD. I had the yellow thrasher curry and it was perfection. Also if you're gluten or dairy free...so many options! It was nice to have a place that provided GF/DF options and was actually good. The owner came out and asked how everything was too-- excellent customer service.

Amazing food. So many gluten and dairy free options. The server was knowledgeable and answered allergy questions. My not gf husband and I split egg drop soup, sushi, and the orange peel chicken and he couldn’t tell it was gluten free. It was very reasonably priced as well. If you have a gluten allergy, Saki is definitely worth a visit.

What an amazing find! After reading Lisa See’s book, The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane last year, I’ve been wanting to taste Pu-erh tea. I was pleasantly surprised to find it at Shang’s Tea House in Kansas City!! I had a cup of the White Tea Pu-erh and it did not disappoint! I also had the unique experience of tasting a moon cake too, which was very good. (I got a gluten free one). The owner of the store was onsite and was very warm and welcoming!! If you’re visiting downtown Kansas City and want a unique experience, definitely visit this store located in the Crown Center plaza!!

Fresh food, great atmosphere! Docking 1 star on service solely because it took quite a while for our meals to be delivered, but the server apologized profusely and let us try the gluten-free chocolate chip cookie for free as an apology. Neither of us are GF, but it was a REALLY good chocolate chip cookie!

Phenomenal vibes with breakfast options aside from pastries even though their croissants are fire. They even have a few gluten free options. Great coffee drinks and upstairs area to enjoy and sit.

Great spot for Asian food in Kansas City! They could make most anything (minus the rolls) gluten free and even had gluten free soy sauce on the table! A range of spiciness too from not at all (me!) to extra spicy (my sister). The service was super quick. It felt like our food was out not 5 minutes after we ordered. Really delicious Pho! I got beef brisket and my mom got seafood and really enjoyed it. Boba tea my brother got was also yummy

Mildred’s is one of my favorite places in the Crossroads for several reasons. 1. It’s a family owned business. That continues to be passed down to future generations. 2. The current owners are young, successful entrepreneurs who pride themselves on taking care of their employees and it is paying off BIG time!. Mildred's take-home pay has always been a living wage, and since 2022 they've been able to provide health insurance and 401k retirement benefits to their full-time employees. From kcmo.gov/livingwage: "A living wage is the minimum income necessary for workers to meet their basic needs, which include food, housing and other essential needs such as clothing... "The living wage differs from the minimum wage in that the latter is set by national law and can fail to meet the requirements to have a basic quality of life, leaving the family to rely on government assistance." 3. I am always so impressed with how professional and happy the staff are. They always go out of their way to provide excellent customer service! That is extremely rare these days! I genuinely LOVE going to any Mildred's location because it is so obvious that the employees truly enjoy their jobs! And that, my friends, speaks volumes about who is running the place! 🏆 4.The fact that their food is mouthwatering delicious is just an added bonus! I highly recommend the standard breakfast sandwich on the jalapeño cornbread. The breakfast potatoes are amazing! The biscuits and gravy are the best thing ever! And if you are gluten free, get the breakfast hash because it’s the next best thing to eating the actual breakfast sandwich!

Service was bad. I ordered gluten free pita and they did not ring it up correctly. I pointed this out MULTIPLE times and was assured it would be gluten free. When it came out I asked (because I had a feeling it was wrong) and the woman told me it was wrong. So she took it back and then came back and told me they would need to ring me up again because gluten free is an up charge. AFTER I ALREADY CHECKED WITH THE PERSON THAT ORIGINALLY RUNG ME UP. I asked for the food back so I could give it to a friend and she told me she already disposed of it. So I ended up leaving without the food and out about $30. Terrible customer service. The only thing I ate was humus (without anything to dip into it) and it was subpar.

I had the Dulce de Leche and Vegan blueberry bar. Very good, I'm glad they offered different milk alternatives and vegan and gluten free food. Definitely coming back.
