Non Gluten Eaters— This review is for you. We were looking for somewhere to eat dinner where we could watch a hockey game and I could eat decent food as a gluten free eater.
Taverna Rossa had a good amount of TVs and a gluten free menu to make those options accessible and easy to find. They verified whether I had an allergy.
I tried the chips & queso, which I enjoyed. The GF vegan pizza crust was decent and the amount of toppings on it was a good balance.
I also tried a cider and their root beer on tap.
The service was good (even helping me find a good table to have multiple views of TVs for our party). Great that the restrooms were clean too.
I’d definitely recommend trying out this place if you’re looking for either of these things!
This restaurant had five stars from my family until today. I ordered carryout for our typical order that’s $250+. My elementary school daughter is celiac and has to eat gluten free options. Her order tonight was terrible. We order this regularly, too. The pasta was far undercooked (crunchy, not merely al dente), and the sauce was an awfully sour and watery green mess. The cooks forgot half the recipe in the sauce, no pine nuts, no cheese, no capers. Very disappointing. Now, I have to source new food for her at 8:30 at night.
Came here for my husband’s birthday and everyone was very thoughtful! They gave him a card and dessert and even offered to move our table if it was too loud. We had the gluten free flatbreads, which were excellent, and our server, Matar, was attentive and respectful.
I usually don’t like to post negative reviews, but this is the second time I have ordered the gluten free pepperoni pizza and it has been burnt. I am a little disappointed because it cost 30 dollars for a single serving. As someone who can’t enjoy gluten, I found your gf pizza to be one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the process of cooking it at your location is the issue here.

I’ve been many times, and each experience has gotten worse than the previous.
In my most recent experience, the waiter was yelling at the hostess right in front of our table, and then immediately turned around to greet us (super awkward and unprofessional).
Next, the waiter brings us water, and disappears for 3-5 business days.
After finally flagging down the waiter, we order our food which was not only undercooked, but flavorless.
To top it off, they brought us complementary bread as a condolence when we had informed them of a gluten allergy (so we couldn’t even eat it).
I would not recommend. There’s dozens of better “Italian” places, and the price is outrageous for the lack of quality.
This was my first time eating here due to a coworker’s recommendation since I’m working close to this location today. I’m so glad I decided to give this place a try! I usually go to True Food Kitchen which has lacked in flavor & quality the last several times.
The service was excellent as soon as I walked in. Sahir helped me and made recommendations. I ordered the Peruvian Steak Sandwich based on one of his recommendations and it was AMAZING! The portion was huge! Every bite was filled with fresh, deliciously seasoned, tender steak with a spicy Aoli. It definitely has a “kick” but not overly spicy. They definitely don’t skimp on ingredients either. The gluten free bread is also one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I can’t wait to try other things on their menu! Honestly, everything sounded great but today’s meal really hit the spot. 5 star service and 5 star food! ✨
Stopped in to grab a couple sandwiches on 10/25/23 around 330PM, and ordered two gluten free sandwiches. The guy working the counter was fantastic! He cleaned up everything (counter, deli machine, etc) for our sandwiches (allergy) and make fantastic sandwiches. Cannot recommend this place enough.
It was our first time here but it won’t be our last.
I ordered gluten free and also paid extra for sour cream. I got regular which seemed suspicious and went to to the counter to ask and they’re like it’s gluten feee. I got sick within 15 min of eating it. It was not gluten free and I didn’t get my sour cream. Staff doesn’t care to accurately answer questions and seemed annoyed that I asked .
Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet in Plano delivers an exceptional all-you-can-eat experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by the vast array of dishes—over 60 options including fresh-made pita, smokey falafel, stuffed grape leaves, hearty soups, vibrant salads, and flavorful meat and veggie entrees.
The quality and freshness stood out: hot dishes were constantly refreshed, salads were crisp and tangy, and the grilled meats were perfectly seasoned and juicy. Everything we tried was vibrant and well-executed—roasted cauliflower, sumac chicken, lentil soup, kebabs, and more—all delicious.
The buffet is ideal for varied dietary preferences. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten‑free options are clearly marked, and the vegetarian section is completely separate, making it easy to navigate.
Overall, Dimassi’s offers great value, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you crave kebabs, vegan dips, or comforting soups, this buffet has something for everyone. We’ll definitely be back—and so should you!
I ordered a gluten free pizza and paid for it to go. I got home and ate it only to realize they gave me a regular pizza and not a gluten free one. I was sick and miserable two days after but worth it lol. This pizza was amazing; the house made mozzarella was next level. Those who aren’t gluten intolerant should definitely try it out. I probably won’t again for the risk of getting gluten poisoned again lol
This place is now our new favorite restaurant for Japanese BBQ. The service and the food are incredible AND they have a ton of gluten free items!! All marked! Celiac and have never gotten sick.
Came here to celebrate our anniversary. Did not disappoint! Great food, staff were kind, friendly, and helped us to celebrate our day.
Note: we have celiac disease, they provided a gluten free menu and helped us pick out the best dishes.
Amazing little find. Fantastic, tranquil atmosphere that is well decorated. Food has vibrant, authentic flavors. They were nice enough to make my daughter lunch early to accommodate her gluten allergy and because she really wanted to try Mediterranean for the first time. I will definitely be back when we have time to have a proper sit down meal.
