This place was so good we came back the next day because we couldn’t stop thinking about it. I have celiac and the celiac waffle was incredible. My husband loved the paffles! The owners were so friendly and welcoming. Definitely going to be a tradition on our next trips to Charlottesville!

Our waitress was Frances. She was very charismatic and very knowledgeable about gluten free foods. My wife has celiac disease and this her greatest concern when it comes to trying a new food location. It was an amazing experience!

Savory, sweet, vegan, gluten-free, all or none of the above. Fluffy, filling waffles in every imaginable configuration! We came in just barely ahead of the noontime crowd. Expect to wait if the restaurant is full; it’s worth it!

Omg, I wish I had discovered this place sooner! I can’t eat gluten or dairy and this place was such a find for my restricted diet! As well as a great find for people with regular diets! I had a savory and sweet crepe and both were perfection!

Ate here for lunch with my husband and son. The food was delicious and service was superb as always. The second we sat down the service was ready to help me get something started for my son who was clearly hangry and on the verge of a toddler meltdown. She was knowledgeable about the menu and navigated his dairy allergy like a champion. He had the kids burger and seemed to enjoy it. I had the steak salad and it was DELICIOUS(made gluten free and Celiac safe). My husband got himself a burger and also said it was great(he is picky about his burgers and said it was cooked perfectly and he didn't have to scrape any condiments off like usual)

I've been going here for several years now, and the food never disappoints. This locally-owned restaurant serves healthy, delicious and carefully prepared food -- from delicious gluten-free crêpes to fresh fish. For those looking to binge eat and complain about the portion size, this is not the place to go. For those interested in a healthy, fresh, and delicious French meal however, this place is highly-recommended. It is without doubt one of the best restaurants in Old Town Alexandria.

Fun Creperie in Richmond. When you get to the building you have to walk up the stairs and the door opens up to a main floor. The hallway you face looks like a little town. The hostess will greet you and ask what your seating prefer. They have the option of outdoor seating, there is also an upstairs floor. They have a lot of options for crepes, including nin crepe items. There are cocktails and hot drinks. I also noticed a kids menu, vegetarian and gluten free options. This trip is my first here and I ordered two crepes a savory and sweet. The savory one was the Carbonara crepe. This crepe looked fancy and tasted rich. The crepes are packed full. Personally I found it a bit too rich or salty, not sure if it was the pesto adding to an already cheesy chicken bacon filled crepe. The sweet crepe I ordered was the Tirimisu. The tirimisu crepe was decadent and delicious and very filling. Overall it was a great experience. I did find their hours a little later (most Creperies I have come across are open in the morning). At the time of this review they opened at 11 am on Saturday.

Cozy atmosphere with great food and service. I was excited to see they had a lot of dairy-free and gluten-free options! Seating is a little chaotic so be prepared to be flexible. Great as a working space, too.

Such a wonderful find! The gals working here are so friendly and welcoming, they have delicious crepes and even offer a gluten dairy free version which is so nice! The coffee is also amazing and the best we have had in the area. Will definitely be making this a normal stop for coffee and crepes when in town.

Food always wonderful especially their creative fish specials! The grouper with Brussels and bacon pieces and creamed cream wonderful. Our waitress(Angel) very helpful in us ordering since my husband has a gluten allergy and he even had a great chocolate dessert available. Angel gave us excellent service! We will be back for sure!

1st time back in 3 years. Not busy on a Saturday morning. Disappointed to say the least. Seated promptly. Order taken. Downhill from there. 2 waters and a large OJ. We only got one water. My wife's corn beef hash looked like dark brown dog food and was so salty it was inedible. The 2 over easy eggs were to be served on a separate plate (shows that on the receipt) but it came with 3 eggs on the main plate and a single piece of toast. Her potatoes were ok. My "Locals Favorite" arrived with one piece of paper thin bacon vs the 2 stated. The over easy eggs were cooked correctly. The pancakes were ok at best and small. We got the order un-screwed with the waitress (note: she doesn't cook or serve the food). If this is where the locals eat, I would find another place. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, flavorful, or kids emojis etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No disrespect to the employees, but no one cares about the waiter/waitress/clerk names, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. We don't care about your allergies, vibes, how "chill" you feel, or the need for gluten free food. **If you see a Google review posted with just stars & no text, report it via the 3 dot selection adjacent to the review. If the text in the review doesn't describe the food/service report it. This cleans up Google reviews and removes the slugs just trying to get reviewer points by marking a star or "paid" reviewers. Maybe their regular waffles are good, but their gluten free waffles were just about the worst thing we've eaten in a long time. Dense, heavy, and flavorless. The toppings were fine, which saved the meal somewhat. Syrup was just that gummy pancake syrup that's mainly high fructose corn syrup. Lukewarm coffee rounded out the meal, and the folks behind the counter seemed like they'd prefer to be elsewhere. Me too, my man, me too...

Have always loved this place, and their gluten free waffles are absolutely delicious. Writing a review today because of the excellent customer service I just received. Ordered from them through Uber Eats, and the wrong waffle was delivered. Called Capitol Waffle and they were apologetic for the mix-up and delivered my order to me. Excellent experience.

I had a fantastic experience here! I ordered two gluten free crepes, one savory one sweet and dined in at this little shop in the Springfield Mall. The music, the food and the customer service was exceptional and I am glad I ate at the shop rather than doing carry out. I miss crepes so much since I used to eat them frequently when living in France. This was one of the few opportunities I had to try a gluten free version of savory crepes in the States so far, and they were just as good as the ones I got in Paris. I am gluten intolerant (not celiac or allergic). I will be returning and taking people there to enjoy the food with me in the future!
