Gluten Free Kushiage Su

Holy cow!! What an incredible meal. To be anywhere in the world, let alone Japan, and have an entirely gluten free meal is a real treat. I can’t even eat like this in the massive American city where I live. This was dreamy. Incredible food and service in an intimate and comfortable space. Very affordable for what you get. 1,000,000/10!!!!

Loved this restaurant- such a unique experience and was so happy to be able to eat at a 100% gluten free place as a coeliac in Japan. The food was delicious and the chef was lovely and communicated using a translation app. It was great to try all the different skewers and see them being made.

This was our second visit to Kushiage Su, and once again we left with smiles on our faces and full, happy bellies. We had previously enjoyed a wonderful lunch course, and this time decided to try the dinner course — it exceeded all expectations. A gluten allergy makes it nearly impossible to enjoy kushiage in Japan, but Kushiage Su offers that experience completely gluten-free — and at an elevated level. The restaurant is intimate, seating no more than three couples, and offers a front-row view of the chef at work. Every skewer was perfectly cooked, and both the appetizer and dessert were absolutely delicious. We can’t thank the chef enough for the incredible meal, and we’re already planning our third visit!
