Jane Bistro and Bar

Chef is doing original, tasty work at this pleasant spot in Shelter Cove. The shrimp shared plate was a revelation. Half dozen fat local shrimp sat in a creamy sauce, served with fresh mixed greens and slices of toasted baguette. It could be an entree right there. The Chicken in Pesto was an enormous bowl of linguine with a big pile of fresh, grilled chicken breast. The pesto sauce was very rich and creamy and loaded with grilled vegetables. Very impressive dish. Nice wine list, and, like the food, prices are reasonable. The restaurant is handicap accessible, and plenty of ideas for gluten free diners and vegetarians, as well as kids. We ate on the patio, very pretty. Service was friendly and efficient. Hilton Head is busy so plan on making reservations for dinner.

We had a really good time. Staff are very accommodating and Dillon helped with tweaking my order to ensure it’s Gluten Free. Mahi Mahi was perfectly cooked. We sat outside in December.. the gas heaters were great and provided perfect level of warmth.
