The Toasted Yolk Cafe

Steer clear if you have a food allergy. Told them im allergic to gluten, brought my food with a gluten biscuit then tried to bring it back out after sending it back, was told it was being remade(it wasnt). Only for it to come back WITH THE BISCUIT. Server asked “does it have to be on a plate without the biscuit”. Absolutely careless and no apology from the waitress who also messed up my friends order and tried to say it’s what she ordered. It wasnt. Just crappy service.

We came here because there's a gluten free menu posted online. When I asked the hostess about it she said our server would be able to help us. When I asked the server she said they had gluten free bread. I asked which of the other items were gluten free and she said she didn't know, so she asked another server nearby who also didn't know but said they could make French toast with the gluten free bread. I went back to the hostess stand and showed them the online menu and asked if it was accurate and if i ordered from it, would it be gluten free. Neither the male nor female hostess had any idea, they had never seen that menu before. We gave up and left. Educate your staff or consider removing your gluten free advertising.

This was my first time at this restaurant but I think I have a new breakfast meetup location! Everyone there from the time we walked in the door was awesome! The atmosphere was great and the staff is amazing! Special shoutout to Jen our waitress!! She definitely went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed and also assisted me with what was safe for me to eat due to my gluten allergy. I can’t wait to show my family and friends about my new breakfast spot!!
