We stayed in Uvita two nights and visited this place three times since it was that good! Selena and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful. My daughter and husband are celiac (gluten-free) and this place had so many delicious options that were clearly labeled - including multiple desserts! Great food and cocktails. On the last night, we went back so that my daughter could have a birthday cake and they remembered when we showed up that it was her birthday and made her feel really special. Highly recommend Sibu!

The food was very good - fresh ingredients and well paired flavours. We ordered the beef carpaccio and then a pizza and chicken with mushroom sauce. The service was outstanding as our waiter, Damon, was very attentive. Once he knew I was gluten free, the chef made me some fresh gf crackers from the pizza dough and ensured the sweet that came with the bill was gf. Overall a lovely experience, I just wish they had had the gf tiramisu...next time!

I have dietary preferences, so I avoided the pita bread and fries due to gluten intolerance. The build your own salad bar was awesome. The ingredients were fresh, but none of the sauces tasted appetizing. The others in my party thought the hummus tasted pretty flavorless. The chicken was a solid 6.5/10– nothing special. The atmosphere was good, though— a great place to have a laid back dinner or lunch.

I was happy to find out there was a The Open Kitchen in Monteverde after I went in La Fortuna. The food is perfect. They offer gluten free bread and its the only place so far where they have coconut milk for latte!

This is a great bar with a great tree house style deck in which to sit alongside the rainforest, perfect in which to sit and enjoy a locally brewed beer. Staff are very friendly and the beer is great!
We also had some food here, the beer battered fish tacos were fantastic. They were also able to provide my wife with gluten free tacos.
