AVOID if you are gluten free or have a wheat allergy like I do!! Although the food was listed as GF on the menu and was nice it definitely is not allergy friendly. I have an anaphylactic reaction to anything containing wheat. Comes on about half an hour after eating anything that contains wheat/gluten. We have breakfast here and great coffee.
By the time I walked back to our villa I was having a reaction! Would not recommend this place if you are GF or suffer from a wheat allergy.

Dangerous for Allergies - AVOID!
My visit to Genius Cafe Bali was a disaster. I ordered gluten-free eggs on toast, but halfway through, I realized the bread wasn't gluten-free. They got my order wrong, and I got sick later in the day.
They replaced the meal once they realised, but given I had already eaten half this was not really good enough!
This cafe clearly doesn't take allergies seriously and puts customers at risk. Do not go here if you have an allergy; they don't care about your health.

Coeliacs beware. They have a sign that says “everything is gluten free” this is not accurate. The menu lists sauces that contain gluten. There is also hidden gluten that they omit from the menu - e.g the chicken is marinated in oat milk (???) but it is not marked as containing gluten on the menu.

My family of 5 loved our experience at Shotgun Social.
Myself and some are coeliac and had quite a few Gluten Free options. My three children 7,11, 12 loved the climbing area, and we felt comfortable with the indoor/outdoor vibe as their loudness wasn’t an issue. They had a huge selection of food, with local and western options. Kids meal was good too.
We even had some dancers performing after our meal which was a treat we didn’t expect. The wait staff were very knowledgeable about dietary requirements and very kind and welcoming. Special shout out to our waitress Meyva!! We will be back one day I hope!
