I was really excited to try this spot and was a little disappointed. Great and extensive menu with gluten-free, vegan, and healthy options. I ordered the pancake combo, and my pancakes were undercooked. They were perfectly brown on the outside, but the inside wasn't cooked through enough. My server was friendly and the restaurants decor matches it's name.

This place has some positives, but my experience overall was disappointing. The atmosphere was nice, with a spacious bar area and a great beer selection that supports local breweries, which I really appreciated. However, the food and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The French dip was a letdown – dry, with an odd choice of American cheese instead of the usual provolone or Swiss, and while mushrooms were included, which I know some places do, they’re not my preference. Overall, the sandwich just wasn’t good. The potato skins were also subpar, barely a 2 out of 5. On the other hand, the mac and cheese was pretty good, and my kid enjoyed it. There were some cleanliness issues. I found a small fleck of lint or hair on my cup, and I noticed the bartender using her bare hands to pick a lemon seed off the side of a glass while making water for another guest. These details were off-putting and made me feel a bit skeeved. While they do offer gluten-free options and a great beer selection, the food quality, service, and overall experience weren’t quite worth the price.

This is our occasional lunch date spot. Service is always great and food always delicious. My wife has gluten and soy allergies and the kitchen makes sure the food is safe. Highly recommend it. Also wine club is great for a quick pick up or if you need chilled champagne!

Delicious menu and excellent service. The kids really enjoyed their homemade soda and waffles. I had the biscuits and gravy and my wife had the grits. They had gluten free options for her, although the selection was limited.

I really debated about posting this, because I’ve been a frequent customer. Unfortunately this is a big safety concern for anyone who has allergies or sensitivities. On Thursday 11/26/23 around 1:00pm. I sat at the bar and ordered the truffle burger on a gluten free bun. When I received it and took a bite I quickly realized the bun wasn’t gluten free. I politely asked my server if it was gluten free and she responded no and grabbed the plate. She didn’t seem concerned or to care at all. But I was ok with that. Then the back of the house manager(assuming) brought out the same burger I took a bite of with a gluten free bun. I ate the burger because I didn’t want to start anything and I thought it would be ok. I ended up having digestive issues. There was no sorry and no one even came to check to make sure I was ok. We paid the bill and still left a 18% tip. I understand times are tough right now and finding passionate employees can be hard at the moment. Unfortunately I believe this is unacceptable. So if you have any food allergies or sensitivities I would stay clear of this place. Unfortunately they really don’t do a great job of honoring those food restrictions.

very good southern style food! my husband had the chicken and waffles and loved it! i can’t have gluten so my options were more limited but had the cobb salad with salmon and it was delicious!! i was going to have the filet but this location was out the day we went, i assume it’s a popular item! the happy hour is fantastic, $5 cocktails and the appetizers are $6!

My Husband and I go to Rudee's each year after the VA BEACH BOAT SHOW. I now have to Gluten Free and was afraid there wouldn't be much I'd eat there now...I am beyond thankful to see ALL THE GF ITEMS!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR SUCH A BIG GF MENU!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

I had an amazing experience at Sage - the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very helpful. I have a severe gluten allergy and Rayley was able to help me navigate through which items the menu were good and safe from cross-contamination. A breakfast must! Stopping on our last day at the beach has become a tradition. The staff is so friendly, the food is delicious and they offer gluten free options! Plenty of parking and reasonably priced!

Food is good and a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options. Just don’t come here for the service. They are slow (30 minute wait for soup and tacos…and it wasn’t very busy), the girl taking orders doesn’t know how to talk to people and made ordering really awkward, and they made a mistake on my food.

The service from Jeremiah and the rest of the crew was top tier and we enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. I expected more from the basic Mac & Cheese which was just okay and the Vegan Delight was more pasta than anything else. We were happy they had gluten free pasta but honestly, weren't too impressed with our meal overall. The tator tots, however, were really good and seasoned well.

Summary: Nicole was funny and friendly! Food was delicious (and had gluten free sandwich bread) prices were very decent for our large party. Sit by a window if you need extra light to read menu. We came in as a party of 5 of visitors (Army base nearby). Nicole waited on us and she was SUPER friendly and knowledgeable on all the menu items. She was patient and quickly brought our food out despite the lunch rush (which the food was delicious and had good portion sizes by the way). The shakes were amazing and I was pleasantly surprised by the gluten free bread substitute on my Reuben. The atmosphere was cozy, but we went on a day that didn't have a lot of natural light so I recommend if your party needs more light to see the menu, perhaps sit near a window. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and the high reviews here aren't kidding!

We came on the day the surges hit for Ophelia and this was a hidden gem! Staff was amazing, and allowed our doggie to be with us... we came in for breakfast and then had to have their supper too and everything was great! I appreciated their gluten free and healthy menu! For the price couldn't beat it.

Good food, as always. (just pricey, but who isn't anymore !) It's been a while since we've been there. We were seated at our table with no menus but didn't really think about it...just assumed someone would bring one. Finally our server came for our drink order and we asked for a menu... turns out they assumed we knew to scan the QR code on the table for a menu... So, just a heads up, ask for a paper menu when you get there if you don't want to use your phone. Server was knowledgeable about gluten free, much appreciated.

Impeccable food. Server was great. Didn't know if things were dairy or gluten free, but made the effort to find out. Chef/owner came to our table to say hi which was very appreciated. You get your bang for your buck. Overall, I'd rate it a 4.5!

Very accommodating for celiac guests. The amount of options listed on the menu for GF is limited, but there are actually plenty of delicious meals you can get bc we were able to substitute gluten free sides for the ones that weren’t. I got the steak frites (not GF) and my boyfriend got the same but they subbed the truffle fries for fresh veggies. We had Alex as our server and he was knowledgeable and awesome. When we forgot our card, he ran it out to the car:,) Nice people, great ambiance, awesome food. I’m also privy to a restaurant where you can see into the kitchen. Felt very farm to table and they had a special offering eggplant that they grew out back in their garden. Huge fan of the garden. Love this place!!

Want a fun, clean, lively atmosphere with great food? Then you need to stop in and relax from a busy day at Tempt Restaurant. The food was amazing AND we were able to get a wonderfully prepared gluten free pizza. We had great service from Karissa and we will definitely request her again.

Party of 2, about 10am this morning. I ordered around my celiac, and the server was very helpful. I do wish the menu was marked better for allergies. Food was good, service was better!

For the good: Server and manager were nice, friendly, and helpful; music was good until the live band left. For the bad: Took about 30ish minutes to order drinks; ribs and brisket were both sold out, so I ordered the tender steak with some pink, but got majority pink; strawberry milkshake didn't taste the greatest; when the steak was redone, they threw away the asparagus as well, and ran out (I have a gluten allergy, and their sides are limited in that aspect); steak tasted disappointing. Very bad experience, but at least the workers were positive and friendly...

We stopped here due to reviews and prices. They were hosting a big party but was able to make additional room for our party There food was very good and prices pretty decent. Our waitress was too busy with the party to keep up with us but the owner/manager came over to make sure we were good. I do wish they had more gluten free options and a menu that showed what was safe to eat so I didn’t have to ask so many questions. Overall I’m sure we would go back again.
