This is the cafe I always recommend to friends and family when visiting the mountain! There’s always seating, great coffee and food! Also, for all those introverts out there, they have a QR code ordering system but you can also order at the counter. They cater to coeliacs, vegans and vegetarians! Everyone will be happy and welcomed here. If you are visiting on a weekend, please book a table! I’m t gets popular and busy… as it should being one of the best cafes on the mountain! It’s also off the tourist strip and gives you an authentic Tamborine mountain experience. Staff are always friendly and accomodating! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

A $33 mushroom pizza, that becomes $40 when you get it on a $7 gluten free base. $40 is the most expensive pizza I’ve ever seen. The normal base was the same quality and consistency as a frozen McCain’s pizza. The staff working there were lovely, yet seemed quite stressed and rushed even though it wasn’t overly busy. A very high price for a very average pizza.

This is my favourite pizza place ever! I always order the summer prawn pizza. They make gluten free bases too. 100% recommend. The staff are also so friendly, they alway remember my name and my order!

Wonderful little cafe at the top of Tamourine Mountain that was recommended as 'safe' from my 'Fine Me Gluten Free Food' app! We stopped for coffee and some cake, which the Gluten Free items were clearly labelled in the cake cabinet. Though these were on the same level as the normal cakes they weren't too close, so just be wary of cross contamination. Being a coeliac myself, I had the gluten free Rose and Orange cake - it was divine! Would definitely recommend going for some gluten free options. The service was great and in an excellent location.

I wish the resident dogs were a bit more active. Pork ribs special was great. Parmi was a bit dry but good overall. The staff came out and took all the umbrellas down claiming the wind was too strong. But didn’t offer to assist anyone with changing table numbers for orders as it was too hot to sit in the sun. We had all only just ordered (several tables) so they could have warned us before ordering. Some gluten free options.

I think this was the best gelato I've ever had in my life (and I've sampled A LOT!). The Pina Colada gelato was drool worthy. So many vegan, gluten free & dairy free options. The service was exceptional, we got some great local tips without even prompting. So sad I don't live here so I can make this my local. Could not recommend this shop more!

The summary is “very very nice” but the detail warrants a few more words. On enquiry they offered a decent range of GF options which meant we were of course interested with a coeliac in our party. It looked like “standard pub fare” but that’s where the comparisons with average ended. The star of the show was the veg. Could have eaten a plate of that on its own and been satisfied! Compare it with the flaccid, steamed, probably frozen standard pub fare and one laughs and wonders where this heavenly roast medley of deliciousness has been all our lives. Add to that the creamy mash, the delicious and flavoursome roast chicken and a beautifully seasoned and tender rib fillet and the statement “an inelegant sufficiency” comes to mind. But wait, there’s more… gluten free crème brûlée for those that needed it, and a rhubarb and apple crumble that got me where my mother lives and we were replete! Five stars people, five stars!!

We keep coming back because the food and service are the very best. The menu is constantly changing with seasonal availability, but the magnificence of the home made pasta is constant. We had a family dinner there with all the challenges that come with a variety of gluten free, dairy free etc and individual needs were met cheerfully and without problem - in fact each meal was wonderful (I couldn’t resist sampling). This place is a treasure.

Beautiful view and cosy atmosphere, incredible food with plenty of delicious gluten free options and relaxed friendly staff. Very kid and dog friendly with a little play area for kids entertainment. Feels like home as soon as you walk in. 💕

Best meal we had on the Gold Coast! Gluten free pizza was fantastic as were the burgers, sizzling prawns and sizzling chicken. All meals were great and the milkshake my grandson had looked fantastic! Very friendly staff - looked after us very well with a family group of 10. Loved the place - just a bit humid outside for us from Adelaide!!

O!M!G!!! The BEST chocolate gelato I’ve ever had, including in Italy! So rich and creamy and not too sweet. Divine! Lovely young couple own it and the lady makes all gelatos with fresh, seasonal ingredients without gluten or any of the nasty ingredients like trans fats etc. You can tell in the flavour. Next time I visit from Canberra I’ll be going back. In fact, might go back tomorrow before I leave. 😋

Such a sweet little cafe with a full menu and great coffee! They also have heaps of spaces to sit and enjoy breakfast, Brunch or lunch! Staff and super friendly and they cater to gluten free and vegetable diets!

Just finishing a 2 night midweek stay in school holidays in one of the motel rooms - well served and welcomed by friendly and competent staff - lovely room and facilities in excellent order. Six star rating for the shower. Hot and strong! - some of the common areas are showing signs of use and age. Not to a large extent, so IMHO just adds to the ambience of slightly faded nobility as implied by the name - had breakfast twice and dinner once in the restaurant. Can recommend it. No problems meeting a gluten free requirement - short walk to the main tourist area

I regularly order gluten free bread which is made fresh every few weeks and sometimes treat myself to their gluten free muffins. Their bread tastes a bit like crumpets which means I eat more than I normally would so each time my order seems to be growing. Thank you. 🍞 🥪 🥖 🥐

1st visit; Nice afternoon coffees and a gluten free orange cake. 2nd visit; freezing and wet saturday, we stopped for coffee, hot chocolate and cakes. Very nice, almond and raspberry slice and orange cake, beautiful and they had a gas heater set up. Very friendly staff, highly recommended!

This store is similar to a mixed bag of lollies! Some staff are friendly & helpful, others don't want to know about customer service. Prices are a little dearer because of the extra transport costs, this is understandable. Great cheese selection & amazing gluten free foods.

What an absolute gem of a find! Right down the end of Main St is a cafe that is deceptively simple in its aesthetic and food philosophy but absolutely nails it in taste, food presentation and hospitality! So accommodating even for those of us that are coeliacs and drill the menu to check it really is 'gf' (if you know, you know ...). We will be back!

Love the guy who owns this little food truck! His pastries are amazing, cheese choices are phenomenal. The salmon terrine is one of our favorites. He also sells some gluten-free and seed crackers, which may seem to be expensive but so worth it. Pairs well with the brie. We always make sure to drop by and buy something when we're at Tamborine.

Absolutely delicious food! They are very accommodating to our dietary requirements (2 x coeliac and 1 x vegetarian). They even catered for us at their Christmas in July dinner last night. The breakfast is buffet style but they go out of their way to prepare a separate plate of breakfast goodies without contamination. Thank you to the amazing staff!

Amazing food by an award winning chef, and amazing service. While on the pricier side, it is worth every penny! The outside doesn't look like much, but inside has a lot of heart and a personal, vibrant touch. This is the definition of 'small but mighty' with limited places available meaning that you feel like the guest of honour. Plenty of gluten free options, with more by request, and nothing in the menu is dull. Have already booked to go back for my birthday!
