My partner and I searched across Cowes all morning for a restaurant that was friendly for both Gluten Free and Vegan food. Mon Dieu proved to be one of the only places open, but the standard they held themselves to was impressively low.
They had three vegan options available. I went to order the Pumpkin Bonjour only to be told that they were out of that dish. I didn’t feel like ordering the Avo Crushed but there weren’t many other options so I went with it and asked for it vegan friendly. I ended up getting a very small serving of avocado which was impressively unseasoned and amongst the plainest I’ve ever had. I could have gone to the Coles and paid $3 to eat a raw avocado on the spot and it would have tasted about the same and not cost me $24.
My partner ordered a Gluten Free eggs Benedict with bacon. They managed to mess the order up by putting Smoked Salmon on it instead and put no effort into toasting the bread, leaving a soggy pile of bacon grease to dissolve the bread beneath it.
Next time I’ll go to the Subway down the street. I could get a bigger serving of avocado on toast for a fraction of the price there.

Came here for a brunch with my partner. Was blown away by how friendly all of the staff were. The food came out incredibly quickly and was delicious. They paid special attention to my gluten free diet and even told me not to order the hash browns when I tried to as they are not gluten free. Could not recommend this place enough

Went and dined in, amazing experience, the food is top tier Indian and the staff are friendly. They catered exceptionally well to my partner and stepson, who are Celiacs, therefore cannot eat gluten. I recommend everyone should come in for a meal, or at least get takeaways!
ALLERGIC REACTION!
I’m a coeliac and can’t have food with gluten. My boyfriend and I ordered 1 normal pasta and 1 gluten free pasta for myself. We ordered it to go, the man who gave us the bag of food literally stared us down until we walked out of the store.
At home I opened up the pasta and thought to myself ‘this doesn’t look gluten free’ stupid me ate it anyway instead of taking it back. I had an allergic reaction and now have to take up to 2 weeks off at work to recover before I go back!
Im absolutely disgusted! Not sure if it was the girl who took our order, and she didn’t care whether to put down as gluten free pasta. Or the kitchen but this is definitely not tolerable

Lovely location in front of the water. Waiter was lovely. Lady at the register wasn’t friendly. We sat at our table and I was given unwashed plate for my pizza. I handed it back to her and she admitted it was dirty but offered no apology. Gluten free pizza was delicious at least.

Absolutely the best Chinese food we’ve ever eaten. Dined in and was delighted with the attentive professional good old fashioned customer service. Being coeliac I’m always apprehensive ordering but my mind was completely put at rest by the waitress who came out to explain that what I’d ordered was not completely gluten free and offered so many suggestions to make absolutely sure I was eating safely. Could not recommend this restaurant more highly to anyone coeliac or not. Will definitely be back. Dad absolutely loved the curry puffs and the wonton soup Thank you so much to all the staff

Great little spot in Cowes with amazing French cuisine. Excellent service and nearly all items on the menu could be made gluten free. Scotch Fillet Steak was the star! Creme Brule was also great.
When your menu specifies that the Parma is gluten friendly and you place an order specifically noting Parma GF please, it would be nice to have a gluten free Parma. Arrived to collect and told it would be another 15 minutes at least. They were busy when we collected, so I only asked to confirm and was told 'yes, just no chips'. I should have checked it then and there but assumed he meant it was served without chips to be gluten free, which is fine. Except I got back to accommodation to discover it was literally covered in chips. When I called to clarify the gluten free status of my order, I was told that the chips weren't safe, the cheese likely spattered in oil from other things in the oven, and that if it was an issue not to eat it. That's fine, except that I was refused a refund despite the fact that the item provided was not as ordered, so I could either sacrifice my money entirely or have a gluten free pizza. Okay fine, I say. But wait... It will be two hours and I can have only margarita, no other option. And to top it off, the whole time the guy who answered the phone had to field every answer through the manager who was most unpleasant about 'special needs', obviously unclear I could hear him. Then the promised pizza finally arrived and it was decidedly average and lukewarm. The kids had standard pizzas and lasagne, neither of which were even worth finishing, lasagne had one bite and they left the rest. A most disappointing experience.
Reasonable Japanese style food, quick and casual dining. Ordering on a busy day is frantic and could be done better. A good menu variety and some gluten free options available. Licensed restaurant, offering Japanese beer and sakè.
Super tasty fish and chips. Gluten free grilled fish without flour also available. Lovely service. Can get busy at peak times. So pull up a chair and swap a story with a local or holiday maker.
Lovely service and great food. The barramundi was Cooked perfectly and the lamb was great. Good selection of gluten free meals and great gluten free beer also available. Good kids menu

Everything about this place is amazing.😍 they have fancy menu which you will definitely going to like ( egg benny , smash avo , bircher museli etc. ) chef’s are well trained and experienced. They care abour food safety and your dietary restrictions ( gluten free and veg/vegan options available) , coffe and smoothies 🧋🥤 are just woowwww!! Highly recommend this place. Also they have very humble staff and their service.
