An absolute dining delight! My daughter and I savoured every last mouthful. The staff were attentive and charming. Accommodating my daughter's coeliac requirements was no problem. It wasn't just dinner, it was a wonderful gustatory experience. Thank you, 38 Chairs. Next time I'm in Melbourne, I'll be sure to visit.
A must-visit spot for creative vegan dishes, a vibrant ambiance, and unique flavor combinations that'll leave you craving more!

The first entrees that came out were delicious but it was downhill from there. Mains consisted of a slab of gluten meat with minimal sauce and some dry overcooked root vegetables. The desserts were small and lacklustre.
Overall, a very disappointing and over priced meal.
Experience a charming trattoria that feels like home, offering a cozy ambiance and a personal touch with fresh, homegrown ingredients.

Last night I celebrated my birthday at the beautiful restaurant with my girlfriends. Let's just say expect the unexpected here! Food is directly from the farm to your plate. There's no menu so the expectation is a surprise and when it does you're blown out of your mind. From the bread as a starter to the meat board then to the entrees and then the mains to mind blowing desserts everything here was a delight. Leave it to the chef and you're in great hands. They even cater for vegetarians and gluten free meals. Service was exceptional with Mo and Pietro! Thank you again and definitely coming back!
A vibrant spot with a fantastic Italian vibe, great hospitality, and unique non-alcoholic cocktails that'll make your visit unforgettable.

I celebrated my birthday party for 25 people at Cosi and we had the best time. Everyone complimented the delicious food, the great atmosphere and the attentive staff. We were personally taken care of by Bradi who was absolutely awesome! Thank you! Additionally organising the event was a bit stressful as it was sharing menu, but I had guests with some very complex dietaries (fructose free/pescetarian/truffle free/gluten feee). I was reassured by Roberta, the events manager, who organised separate dining options for guests with dietaries. Absolutely great team at Cosi and iβm super excited to celebrate there again :)
A fresh addition to the South Yarra scene, this spot boasts an amazing rooftop vibe, stunning sunset views, and a fantastic atmosphere.

SpudBAR is really one of itβs kind places in Melbourne. Who believed that spuds can go this long way. Amazing place where everything is gluten free. Their menu offers wide variety of option, most of the Spuds are available throughout the year but every 6 months a new spud gets added or removed. It's interesting to see that they keep on adding new stuffs to their menu.
They serve loads of veggies, proteins and tons of stuff on baked spuds.
Enjoy a cozy, dog-friendly spot with outdoor seating, daily specials, and a secret dessert menu that delights with unique treats.

I had the Barramundi fillet and vegetable green curry. Generous-sized fillet, with green beans, broccoli, red onion, zucchini, capsicum and asked for a side serve of rice. Well cooked and delicious. Green curry is not overly spiced for my mild-loving palate.
Menu offers daily specials and covers gluten-free or other dietary needs, including vegan and vegetarian.
I asked about dessert as the menu is bare in this regard. Yes, if you ask, you get!
Out came a dish of special balls of banana fritters, honey syrup, vanilla ice cream with fresh fruit salad of strawberries, lychees, mandarin segments. Yum.
A cosy yet light and airy environment, that also has outdoor eating on the footpath. And is dog-friendly!
They have a new customer! As a walk-in, I was treated in a most friendly and helpful manner by all the staff.
Experience a must-visit spot in Melbourne that keeps guests coming back for more with its amazing vibes and top-notch service.

What a wonderful find with great food and super friendly staff. This cafe was 70m from our airbnb and open everyday of the Easter long weekend. Expecting it to be crowded we ordered takeaway easily over the phone. It was ready at the time they said and we thoroughly enjoyed the chicken hero sandwich with crispy chicken skin, pork and fennel sausage and crispy duck fat potatoes. The red velvet tea cakes with strawberries, cream and blueberry jam were beyond moist m, soft and delicious and happened to be gluten free. Both hubbyβs cappuccino and my Soy Mocha were the epitome of perfect Melbourne coffees.
We ordered by SMS 2 days later and Donovan the owner recognised my order and remembered my name though I hadnβt written it in the text. I wish I had a cafe this great in Brisbane or Sydney where I live. I will definitely return to this cafe when I stay in the area next. Highly recommended!
Thanks to the crew! ππ

Absolutely divine. Food was incredible, service fantastic and a special mention to the chefs who handed me a little package of gluten free bread after I mentioned it was the best Iβve ever had!! Absolutely loved our night at Matilda, will most definitely be back.

Food was super delicious, especially the limited time Roman cacio e pepe (they had it available in a gluten free penne version). But the waitress wasnβt really into being there and forgot our orders once. One alcohol free beer on the menu, but it was available. Was super hot inside too (no AC) and tiny/crammed. Portions are reasonable, prices quite high, but still worth it overall.
Sleek vibes and a lively atmosphere make it a fun spot, but food quality varies, and the warmth can be a bit much on hot days.

While the food and atmosphere was great our server Nathan really made the night amazing! Was so kind and helpful to all our needs especially as one of my friends was gluten free, would come back again as Nathan was so welcoming and helpful
Choose your meat, choose your breadcrumb and then choose what you want it with. Loads of choice (inc gluten free and vegan) and really tasty. Ate here a couple of times during a recent trip to Melbourne and would go back again
Casual Italian spot serves tasty pizzas and pasta with a variety of options, though expect some wait time for orders.

Hi guys, I sent the below last Thursday in response to your email "how was your experience?" but not sure whether you received as I received a Bounced message re the email address replied to (?) . Anyway, here fyi comments my dinner 8/3:
Most of the food for our party of 3 was Good BUT..
By 7 pm you had run out of gluten free pizza bases which at that time of night is unacceptable. As someone who is very gluten intolerant, I would have booked elsewhere if Iβd thought there was any risk of that occurring.
Instead I had the Pasta "di mare " but w GF pasta. The seafood and sauce were good, no probs at all. On the other hand, the pasta itself was way undercooked- my guess is by about 5 minutes or more - and essentially inedible. (Gluten free pasta takes a LOT longer to cook than regular pasta). My plate returned to the kitchen w almost all the pasta still on it. I brought this the attention of ur waitperson and she said she would let the chef know.
End of the night we get the bill and we were still charged for the dish. This is unacceptable and suggests that either the server did not bring the issue to the attention of the manager to remove the item from the bill, or the server did so and the manager made a bad decision not to.
Spoilt my night and I went home and made myself something to eat as I was ravenous.
Two stars deducted for the service shortcomings.
Itβs good butt not amazing. The wine menu is sensational, some beautiful wines here by the bottle. The food was alright, it was disappointing that the gluten free bread was from Aldi and the regular bread looked like aeroplane buns. The oysters were 10/10 and the truffle arinchi was lit af. howeverβ¦ I ordered the 700g rib eye and it was a little disappointing for the price it wasnβt very impressive. I also ordered the βseasonalβgreens and there was nothing seasonal about this as it was green beans with snow peas and thatβs itβ¦ the menu highlighted a variety of vegetables.
The dessertβ¦ Iβm not sure how to describe this appropriately but there were two, what was ice cream on a chocolate granola and then a pina colada βtrickleβ which no one liked apart from me because Iβm a Labrador.
So all in all, yes and no as a recommendation. Donβt be blown away xx
Had been here previously a year ago but has seriously gone down hill since then. Cramped and over crowded making it extremely hard to hear anyone talk. Did bottomless and only got one drink in the first hour, we then tried to order 2 each the second round but were told we could only order 12 drinks for a party of 8 despite a table behind us order 3 drinks at a time. Menu item reads that certain food options are already gluten free without alterations, but discovered once arriving to the table that that is incorrect and you must request it to be gluten free. Took over an hour wait for food, with it even getting to the point if someone came over and asked if we had ordered. Food eventually arrived with it being cold. The waitress did deduct some of the bill due to the issue with the gluten free option but it failed to make up for the overall poor experience. Pay the extra money for bottomless and go elsewhere or make sure youβre here on quiet day. If they planned ahead or had a manager who made sure they knew what was going on they might have a chance.
With a chill vibe and a diverse menu, this spot impresses with unique offerings like the Black Garlic Chicken Katsu Sando and Hojicha latte.

Great customer service, great food, nice environment, and excellent number of choices for halal and gluten free options. Here are the items we ordered and thoughts for some of it;
Black Garlic Chicken Katsu Sando - it tastes good, but the black garlic flavour does not shine at all.
Sukiyaki Beef Rice Bowl - super good, would recommend
U&ME Platter - love the raw fish selection, not too much of a fan of the others.
1991 don
Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl (gluten free)
Iced Mocha - good balance of chocolate and coffee, there is less sugar which is good, but ask for more if you like yours sweet.
Hojicha latte - great taste, again, less sugar (which is good).
A great variety of hamburgers, including gluten free, veggie and vegan. Gluten free hamburger was delicious and chips with some herbs were glorious. The staff was very sweet and fast-paced.

We had a good meal in this beautiful venue. The atmosphere and styling is next level. Though it's not publicised, they have a full gluten-free version of the menu and we're able to accommodate coeliac needs with ease.
A tasty fusion of Japanese and a few other Asian cuisines, the food was quite delicious.
The bill adds up though! The two of us didn't go crazy on drinks or food, but we were sure glad we had a $200 voucher to help towards the cost.
THE go to place when having intimate or casual catch ups.
Attentive staff cater to coeliac and diary requirements , great atmosphere , and food is world class.
Worth the price
Five course set menus that change cuisine every three months. We sat for the American deep South menu. The concept was immersive; from the mock up boarding pass booking confirmation, the cutlery stowed away in a knife roll, down to the music accompaniment.
I've no frame of reference to compare how successful owner/head-chef Charlie is at translation of the style, but our party was thoroughly impressed with every dish. Our one coeliac in the party was well catered for to the degree we were even sampling from his few modified plates. The staff were attentive and friendly despite our cringe-worthy excitement.
We will definitely return to see the next menu iteration.

They always have beautiful sweets and deli. Especially the cup cakes are famous, It's nice and not too sweet. Gluten free cakes are available here too.

A Greek sweets and deli specialty store inside Prahran Market. The colorful cupcakes are especially popular. It's not too sweet than it looks, so maybe Japanese people like it.
The service level is very high and friendly and many levels above what is the norm in Melbourne. The menu is varied and exciting and caters well for different allergies (gluten, lactos, nuts etc). Presentation is beautiful and very tasteful. Impressive wine list too. Feels like you are in Europe. Highly recommended!
A must-visit for those seeking unique and delicious offerings, especially the standout Chicken Breast Chimichurri toastie that impresses!

Just stopped by for lunch in the neighbourhood as a gluten free person and was scouting my options. Iβm not normally one to leave a review but WOW. My first question to them was if they have gf bread, which they did. The person serving suggested the Chicken Breast Chimichurri toastie and for good reason, it was to DIE for. Nothing like Iβve ever tried before. Not to mention the gf bread is the best Iβve ever had. Do yourself a favour and give it a try!
Really delicious food and wines, so many options at very reasonable prices. Vegan cheese available which is great, and gluten-free bases available but I did have a bit of a reaction after eating here so I probably wouldnβt recommend for coeliac sufferers (they do not claim to be coeliac-friendly so I wonβt dock points for this!). The food came out quickly and our entire group really enjoyed their meal so I definitely recommend grabbing dinner here.
Amazing food! Very friendly staff, and super helpful when it comes to dietary requirements too. The lady helped me with gluten and dairy free options and the meal was absolutely delicious. We will be back here for sure ππ»
We were looking for a classy restaurant with great ambience, fabulous food (including gluten free options) and cocktails for our party of 4.
Blossom Thai ticked all the boxes and more. Highlights were: cherry blossom cocktail (exquisite) potato prawns (to die for), red curry chicken (delicious) and the coconut pudding (like nothing Iβve ever had before). Everyone loved their food choices and recommendations. The service was impeccable and the food was served very quickly. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. All in all a great experience and we will definitely be back.
Just a tip: car parking is almost impossible in the area but The Como Centre across from Toorak road has car parking available.
Very creative food. The classic set menu was fabulous as was the creativity to cater for our gluten intolerant friend. The service was first class especially from the maitre'd.
Incredible service, they make the most amazing Gluten Free sandwiches π₯ͺ
Simar is just an absolute pleaser to deal with. I would recommend them to everyone

Terrible place. Dirty first of all, and disinterested staff who werenβt friendly at all. Food was bland and overpriced. I ordered a βpremium loose leaf teaβ and was given a low rate supermarket tea bag in a pot. I didnβt drink it and asked for it to be taken off of the bill because it wasnβt what I ordered. No apology or acknowledgement. Worst of all I told the waitress I was a coeliac if she could pass it on to the chef, and ordered something quite safe (salmon salad bowl) and still got sick from gluten contamination. I have a feeling this was once a good place that is now being run into the ground by poor management.

kind handsome man explained their gluten free dishes to me which helped a lot.
Dishes here are quite generous and delicious. Everything is gluten free. The Zucchini fritters are delicious whilst the cauliflower salad with hummus is moorish. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great new place

I am gluten free and was surprised and delighted to find the gluten free bread here absolutely divine. It tastes like pancakes, is soft and thick and did I mention it tastes like pancakes.
