Celiac Canadian here! 4Me gluten free is amazing — hands down the best gluten-free cakes I’ve had. Even people who eat gluten love it, which says a lot! It’s become legendary for me — I tell all my friends across North America that yes, it is possible to be gluten-free and still enjoy great taste. Exceptional gluten free food! Particularly the cannolis! Definitely need to go back to try all the other flavours! The server recommended the Darth cannoli, which was the banana and date flavour, and wow, she wasn’t kidding when she said it was delicious! The staff were all very friendly too, which makes such a huge difference to the experience. I’m pleased to say it was worth the wait, and 90 minute journey!

This place is quite a blessing, bringing amazing gluten free options out into the west! I’m talking fresh pies, bread loaves, cakes and baked goods AND frozen GF goods + gluten free shelf items!!! Customer service was good. All sweet items tasted like early 2000s gluten free cooking. Weird aftertaste and tastes a like a lot of baking soda. We’ve come so far for gluten free food and this just felt like a step back in time. Meat pie and sausage roll were alright.

My son and I have to eat Gluten free so I was very excited to try this bakery and it did not disappoint. Even my husband and 3 other kids who can eat gluten thought it was fantastic. We stared with some sandwiches, a hot beef roll, a baguette, and vanilla slice. My son tucked into the chicken and salad sandwich so I too took a bite, absolutely delicious. The bread was soft on the inside and the crust was crusty. The filling was delicious and now thanks to you my son wants to eat a salad sandwich!! (🙏) my husband and I shared the hot beef roll, to die for, tried some baguette just as it was then had the vanilla slice. All absolutely delicious. Now normally this would have been enough to eat but I put on my greedy wig and wanted to try more. So I got the vegetable roll that was like a veggie sausage roll. Let me tell you I wanted to cry it was just that good. (I keep taking about it) Also tried beef and veggie pastie which was great too. Went back in again and got some apple pies, biscuits and a chicken and avocado roll. The owner laughed and said I was working my way through the display cabinet and she wasn’t wrong. Again it was all so good. Finally went back in again for another baguette and some sliced bread. On the Vline trip home my son devoured the rest of the first baguette. I can’t wait to come back to Bendigo but this time I’ll bring an esky to get more of the veggie rolls and vanilla slices and bread. And if I haven’t tried something I’ll be trying it. Such a pleasant surprise to see Gluten Free pies, with a huge selection of flavours to choose from. When ordering, the staff member was very pleasant and informative about "the flourless pies" , that are cooked in same oven as other pies. So chance of cross contamination. Coming from WA, I'm so impressed with GF options in Victoria.

I stumbled across this place 3 days ago and have been every morning since. The gluten free focaccia is UNREAL and I couldn’t even put into words how amazing the gluten free cannoli is. If you are gluten free this place is MUST. I could not recommend it enough. And to make the experience even more amazing the staff was so so wonderful too.

The Blacksmith have made cakes for my family birthdays for years. This year, I only gave the 48 hours(!) to make a significant 3 level 50th birthday cake, custom designed with dribbling gold icing and a cascade of flowers. They did it perfectly, and their fee was appropriate for the work. Not only did it look incredible, but it tasted excellent, and was gluten free. Such a great spot to gather in Mount Waverley. A rustic atmosphere, of brickwork, garden table out front and the smell of coffee and warm breads really delight the senses. Bring your pooch and sit on the bench seat and watch the locals walk by. Enjoy a latte or tea, with a sausage roll, toastie, sweet muffin or cake. A big plus is that they cater for Gluten Free patrons. We need to support local if we want to keep our village a friendly place to visit.

I am a coeliac and asked for advice on buying gluten-free food. There were numerous choices and I decided on a gluten free Basque cheesecake here. The staffperson was very helpful, suggesting to let it warm to room temperature before eating. I went home, cut a slice and did as he suggested. I have to say, it was the most beautiful, creamy, delicious cheesecake I have ever eaten. This shop is now my go-to bakery when I am in the area. Thank you so much.

My partner bought me a gluten free chicken and vegetable pie from wonder pies over the weekend. I took a bite of it and the pastry was so good that I thought I had mistakenly been given a regular chicken and vegetable pie. I immediately stopped eating the pie because I was sure that it must contain gluten and that in 45 minutes I would experience the awful symptoms of having consumed gluten. I was very pleasantly surprised to find after some time passed that the pie that I had taken a bite out of was actually really a gluten free pie. I then gobbled up every delicious morsel and soon afterwards took to the internet to buy more of these amazing gluten free pies. I just devoured a gluten free beef and gravy pie and I can say that these pies are easily the BEST gluten free pies you can buy in Melbourne without question. I have been on a mission to find a decent gluten free pie for a couple of years now and I have tried many, after eating the gluten free pies made by wonder pies my quest is finally over. Great pastry, delicious filling, amazing.
