I ordered a custom cake for my 30th birthday party. Not only did the cake turn out exactly how I wanted, but I was SOO delicious! My cake was s’mores flavored, and honestly tasted to me like a snickerdoodle cookie which is great because that is my favorite kind of cookie! Everyone kept commenting on how good the cake was and they didn’t even know it was gluten free and vegan!! It can be so hard to find good tasting and allergen-friendly baked goods, but now Zucchini Kills will be my go to spot for any future cake needs!
The bakery store front was a little tricky to find, it is tucked around the corner on the back side of Yarrow & Sage.

Saw this on Instagram. We were in a hurry and didn’t review the menu before we went. Not authentic Thai food. Ordered the Pad Ka Prow and had 95% green beans and maybe 2 tablespoons of ground meat. I get the overall healthy, gluten free nature but if you want real Thai then this is not it. I should have been clued in by the location.
Experience adorable vibes in this cozy spot where cute meets delicious, tempting you with unique desserts and an array of delightful drinks!

I love Squee and really want them to stay open and thrive. As someone who’s gluten-free, this place has been a go-to for me for almost a year. However, I’ve noticed that the vibe feels different depending on who’s around. My boyfriend and I are pretty traditionally presenting and have often felt like we don’t get the same warm service that other customers (particularly queer folks) seem to get. I initially thought maybe the employee was having a bad day and blew it off but we’ve easily been here nearly 40+ times and it’s clear that they have an attitude with us and aren’t as friendly or kind because we present as cis & straight.
I’m a strong ally and believe in inclusivity, and I just wish that everyone, no matter how they look, felt equally welcomed. I know that many queer people face this kind of treatment elsewhere, but the solution isn’t to treat others the same way—it’s about making sure everyone feels respected and valued. The donuts/icescream are amazing, and I’d love to see the experience be just as great for everyone.
If I’m reading this all wrong, then I sincerely hope the management and employees focus on customer service and kindness because it would be highly concerning if this was my business with how consistent their poor attitudes are each week. I’ll continue to be a customer because I’m gluten-free and have limited options, but again this review is because I love OMG Squee’s donuts/icecream and I want them to attract more business. From everyone.

The best mochi donuts in Austin! Teresa and Anthony, a husband-wife power duo, run this little pop-up business all on their own. They use a traditional Korean recipe and use 100% rice flour in their donuts, making it completely gluten-free. The flavors change often and are creative, fun and ALWAYS delicious!

They have more than one option for gluten free. All the items I got were gluten free. I got a chocolate frosted donut, chocolate chip muffin, chocolate chip cookies (package of 2) and a white chocolate mocha frappe (with coffee). My total was $20.04
Everything in the case is clearly labeled. The lady at the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Donut was cakey, but not too thick. It had chocolate icing.
Muffin was so soft. Tasted buttery and not too sweet for being chocolate chip. I ate it the fastest out of the items.
Cookies look like they were hard, but they were soft once you bit into them.
Frappe was a good accompaniment to my breakfast.
Step into a cozy haven with unique seasonal treats and a stylish vibe, plus cool merch like books and apparel to match your sweet tooth cravings!

Went here last night as I just started a gluten free diet and have been sad I can’t eat many of my favorite sweets anymore! This place felt like my own personal heaven. The employee was so sweet and answered all my questions and the shop had a super cool, cozy atmosphere. I tried 2 of their seasonal cupcakes and they were some of the best I’ve EVER had! They have plenty of classic flavors but I took a gamble on some of their more unique cupcakes and was not disappointed. Whoever is coming up with their seasonal flavors is a creative genius. 12/10 will visit again when my sweet tooth strikes!

This is a really good bakery. I ordered a variety of items and have tried several (my favorite is the cowboy cookie). They took the time to check whether an item had corn syrup in it (I have a friend who is allergic to it, but I wanted to get something for her, too). The item (the passionfruit-cocunut dessert) is both gluten-free and corn-free. That's hard to find. On top of all that, the staff was friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be back. :)
Update: I have now tried several things. They were all excellent. This really is a good shop. :)

LOVED everything about Elizabeth st cafe!!!All the servers were very friendly, and kept checking in on us. The decor and atmosphere was immaculate especially with all the outdoor seating for a sunny day. And of course the food was all delicious. A good menu with a lot to choose from including banh mi and pho, but we went for summer rolls, fried rice rolls and grilled fish bun vermicelli bowl. They were all delicious! 10/10! A good majority of the menu was also gluten-free friendly.

I cannot stress more about how amazing this place is. I wanted to surprise my husband with an alien themed cake because we watched that movie on my first date and when I reached out they were so excited to take the order. I didn’t really know what to expect but MY GOSH YALL!!! This cake was not only absolutely amazing, but was sooooo delicious. I’ve ordered from them before and they never disappoint. 11/10 recommend this place!! Since I have celiacs, they offered me a gluten free cupcake and y’all……best gluten free cake I’ve ever had.

Not reliable ordering ahead. While I love the idea of having a gluten free option, so I still gave 3 stars, I was super disappointed to have wasted an hour driving because they didn’t have my order (I ordered the day before). I tried to make the best of it by ordering something else, but what I ordered instead was pretty sub par tasting so I couldn’t finish it.
Edit: since there seems to be confusion, I followed the instructions on the website by texting my order. Payment was not asked for during the process and I assumed that was normal. Photo is from their website.

Chez Zee is a reliable place for absolutely delicious food, impeccable service, and pleasant French Bistro style atmosphere. The kind of place to bring out of town guests or a date. We shared a Belair salad, a delightful combination of baby greens, blueberries and jicama for a little crunch, and also shared an order of pan-fried trout with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. We ended with the ultimate comfort food… a slice of Maida’s cake, delicate layers of gluten-free chocolate cake with generous whipped cream filling and light mocha frosting. The generous portions are enough for two meals and the quality is basically perfect. Our server was attentive and cheerfully split our plates, even though we arrived within an hour of closing time and sat outside by the fountain on the breezy patio.

I'm thrilled to be able to get gluten free cake! The chocolate cake is to die for ❤️. Normally it's just cupcakes that are available. I have nothing against cupcakes it's just nice to have a slice of cake. I will have to try the white cake next. Hands down the best chocolate chip cookie I have had.
While the selection of gluten free is small it is delicious. I don't have to drive across town for this anymore. I have my slice of heaven just around the corner.
The counter help is young and not extremely friendly. I've been twice and I don't believe I've ever seen any of them smile. They are helpful though.

Mozart's is the quintessential Austin experience. There is an eclectic live local music scene, a beautiful view of the lake with the opportunity to rent a padle boat and truly emerce yourself in the vibe . The food is relatively responsibility priced the expanadas are great so are the quiches especially the gluten free crustless potato leek . All the coffee teas and lemonades are delicious. Only down sides are the long slow lines, which only gives you more time to admire the dessert case and listen to the music and the bird poops. Beware the bird poop! Give yourself a couple of hours here to soak up the ambiance and sip your drink and the views.

Brentwood has decent options for folks on vegan or gluten free diets. I tried a vegan shepherd's pie that was delicious. They have some creative drink options like a water melon cucumber refresher. There is a playground outside and a special room inside for families with kids.
Love the flavors! They are delicious and have a variety of them, even some organic flavors as well as dairy free, gluten free, & vegan for those wondering. Cupprimo South made my daughter's 6 year-old cupcake/birthday cake and we all loved it! They were able to lay out the cupcakes into an adorable rainbow shape that looked great and tasted even better! It was so much easier passing out cupcakes to all the kids at her party instead of everyone waiting for a big cake to be cut. It looked festive and fun! I personally love Cupprimo's gluten free options too - they always have great new flavors to try!

This is one of my go-to places to WFH. With work days going on longer than I sometimes plan, every now and then you need a place with a variety of options that fulfills your needs depending on the time of day.
Food/drinks:
I'm a simple guy, so the pretzels are enough to satisfy my bread gluten cravings, but I will say their fries are fried (and seasoned) to perfection...you don't even need the ketchup, although it is always a plus for me.
I also love that you can have coffee during the morning, and then when you've looked at your watch and realize it's dinner time, beer (and other cocktails are also available)!
Service and atmosphere:
The manager is so kind, and you can see his approach to service seeping into the other employees. They greet you upon entry without fail (HUGE in the service industry), and they don't do the bare minimum, but take those extra steps to make sure you feel welcome and cared for. If you're like me and go enough times, they'll start calling you by name which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back.
Also, who doesn't like smelling freshly baked bread filling the entire space? I haven't been to the other locaitons yet, but at this rate, I don't think I'll ever need to!
Discover a cozy spot with comfy couches, unique art for sale, and a charming atmosphere, perfect for unwinding or getting some work done.

First things first... The Gluten Free Lemon Poppy Loaf and the Banana Nut Muffin (Also GF) are amazing!! The only reason for giving -1 star for the food is because of the preservatives they have in the muffins and in the bread/other pastries. They go so fast that there is literally zero need for the preservatives they sell out quick! The service is always great though their consistency as far as hot chocolate needs to be a bit better I went in one morning and it tasted like they had just roasted cocoa beans straight from the source and not a day later at night it was like the worst kind of chocolate milk that was barely warm, but everyone is always super friendly, and you can tell that they use quality espresso when it comes to coffee. The atmosphere is really nice, they are like a few other cafe's/restaurants that have artwork available for sale that when you look at it you'll say, "That looks nice how much?" Only to then immediately walk away because it's a few thousand dollars. Under the artwork is a couch comfy area to sit but there is a lack of plugs you have to move the couches to get to the plugs behind them which kind of sucks but it is what it is. The two chairs they have aren't really that comfy so I'd go for one of the three couches if I were you. They do have pretty nice restrooms though, and a selection of beers on tap with a nice L-shaped bar. I will be adding photos of everything I can in the very near future unfortunately I don't have any good ones of the food because I eat it so fast lol. They have a nice area outside and there's actually a walking trail nearby behind in the back parking lot behind the buildings it's been a bit cold so I haven't walked it myself but when it warms up I will. Overall I'll be back for the muffins though I wish they would take out those preservatives, and the hot chocolate as I've given up coffee. Peace!! -DD
Cute little coffee shop where I got a delicious arepa (gluten free). Coffee was great as well.

I stumbled onto this place randomly and really enjoyed my lunch.
I got their charcuterie board and sweet potato fries. I'm gluten free but not celiac, and they do offer a gluten free tortilla style bread that you can swap for the bread in the charcuterie board. They were also kind enough to let me know that they have cross contamination so I wouldn't recommend this place for a celiac, but I enjoyed myself. The cheeses, meats and accouterments were so yummy and their sweet potato fries were on point!
The place has great ambiance - very light and airy.
The staff was also great, especially the bartender who was attentive and thoughtful. I'm only taking one star away because I purposefully chose pretty easy to assemble items but it took a while for me to get my food. Food was delicious though!
The experience was a little pricy, but it'd be a great place to take out Mom for mother's Day or a girl's brunch!
I cannot express in words how great my experience with Daniela and Glace cakes was recently! I contacted Glace 3 days before a company event for a small cake and while I wanted a decorated/theme cake I wasn't about to get my hopes up since it was so late in the game to order. WELL - was I wrong!! Daniela was not only gracious in taking my order but the cake she designed after I explained what the celebration was for and sent here a few ideas, was A M A Z I N G!! If I can figure out how to post pictures to this review, I will so you can see for yourself!! : )
The cakes was not only beautiful but DELICIOUS!! She also made us a few cupcakes that were gluten free and some that had dairy free frosting! I have my new cake store!! Thank you for the great experience and for making our event extra special with your beautiful and delicious cake, Daniela!! P.S. And delivery was RIGHT ON TIME! : )
