My croissant loving son was diagnosed with celiac disease in September. I almost cried today watching his happiness as he ate a chocolate croissant at Mariposa’s. 💚

I brought a group of 7 others here last week as we were in town for meetings and one of our members is celiac, I saw the reviews of great food but I'm thinking.. it's all GF how good can it be... AMAZING AMAZING WOW! I was in San Fran for 7 days and hands down the best meal, best service, atmosphere, just hands down AWESOME! Samie was our server and she was incredible as well as management & staff of Firefly - GO ! Eat ! ENJOY! David Nye

My friend, who is severely celiac, got very sick here. They say all the food is gluten free, but that’s obviously not true. We looked up everything about this restaurant after she got sick and saw the review of some other person on this site who also got sick. They sell a lot of oats, so that’s probably why she got sick. Cross contamination. Watch out!!! For the not celiac’s, the food is good it just isn’t totally gluten free.
Chill pub vibe with quick service and great outdoor seating makes it a must-visit in the Mission District for a laid-back experience.

Eating and drinking outside is an option and is pleasant. If ordering to go beers or ciders can be ordered as well. Gluten free is offered and is tasty

I was looking for a bakery with gluten free options and this bakery nailed it! The line moved quickly and parking is convenient. I ordered one of every gluten free option. They were so good that I went back the same day to buy more for the road trip down to SoCal. I’ll be back!
There was a line outside the restaurant, but we didn't have to wait long to order and the food came out quickly.
The store's name is Birds, but is there a dog with a sandwich in its mouth painted on the signboard or on the wall? wolf? The illustrations are cute!
This is a system where you order and pay at the cash register, then pick up your order at the delivery counter.
I ordered a salad, which you can also add fried chicken as a topping.
You will be given a cup to drink your drink, so you can pour it yourself.
All food was served in paper bags for take-out.
You no longer have to deal with customers who switch to take-out, such as when they run out of time, and it's also easier to clean up trash inside the store.
The ultimate fried chicken and sandwich shop: Click here for spicy fried chicken in San Francisco! We had lunch at Bird, a recommended restaurant.
Bird Salad ($6.5)
Romaine lettuce center, baby kale mix, steamed beets, spelled flour, celery, apple
Dressing (separate): Champagne vinegar & honey, ranch, or blue cheese
The dressing was blue cheese.
There was only one type of salad, but the ingredients seemed to be health conscious and gluten-free conscious.
Enjoy a cozy garden vibe with a diverse menu, unique business model supporting staff, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for brunch.

I visited this place on a Friday morning when it was somewhat busy. I liked that they offer both indoor and outdoor dining options. The menu is extensive, allowing you to mix and match one to three items from each section. For example, you can choose two pancakes or one eggs benedict, making it easy to try a variety of dishes.
I ordered one eggs benedict, one gingerbread pancake, and a cappuccino. My friend ordered gluten-free English muffins, which was a nice option to have. The food was great—especially the gingerbread pancake, which had exceptional flavors. However, the coffee was burnt and much too hot. The service follows a European style, which meant a more relaxed pace, but at times it felt a bit inattentive.
Overall, the food was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Fresh vibes and a diverse menu make this airport gem a must-visit for quick, tasty meals and refreshing drinks, perfect for all travelers.

Staff was excellent! I told them I had celiac disease and they said they could get me almost anything on the menu. Got an Amy’s burger and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was!!

The Grove is consistently high quality food. Good portions (justifying the prices) and high quality ingredients. Excellent gluten free bread!!
Recently opened a bar so they have a full liquor menu instead of the previous beer and wine only.
Trendy spot with a casual vibe and tasty dishes; great for brunch or dinner, plus outdoor seating makes it even better!

Good food, good atmosphere. The avocado toast is very good. I ordered an omelet with sausage, bacon and ham but it was too big for me. They have vegetable drinks at your disposal as well as gluten-free bread.
The toasts are EXCELLENT. I have tried all of them.
Egg in the hole is my favourite savoury one.
Ricotta and Jam is my favourite sweet one.
The gluten free bread (adventure bread) is the best GF bread I’ve had.
The building is lovely.
Atmosphere gets a 3 because, they don’t make people leave fast enough after eating at the weekend.
I’ve been standing there multiple times with my food in my hands and nowhere to sit. It is a very awkward experience
They either need to add more seating or move people along that have finished eating.
The Mill would be a clear 5/5 if they fixed this problem.

Hazel's Kitchen has some of the best sandwiches around.🥰 We have been coming here for years (late 90's), never disappointed!! Will cross a bridge when craving a good deli sandwich.
I don't stray too far from a personal favorite, "build your own," sliced dark rye, turkey, regular mayo, yellow mustard, lettuce, tomato, avocado and pickle. Huge sandwich, saved the other half for later🥪💫.
Prices are incredibly reasonable, staff is super friendly, always nice and fast!!! Best Portrero Hill location for walking around and hanging out.
Tons of menu options, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, etc, etc, etc.
Seating table area outside is close by and shaded.
Will continue to cross a bridge or two for a great deli sandwich, bagel sandwich, wrap sandwich, all the sandwiches!🥪🥯🌯✊🏼

Best sandwich I’ve ever had!! Gluten free bread option was a good size and the sandwich was so flavorful. My friend and I kept saying how flavorful it was and honestly didn’t talk for 10 minutes just to chomp down on this deliciousness. To order, we walked up to the door and it was take out only. The vibes were great and lowkey. We ate the sandwiches at Delores Park after. Would 10/10 recommend.
Crepes were tasty, my husband and I both got one and I got the gluten-free (rice flour) crepe, which is $2 extra. Seemed a bit too expensive, especially because it's a modest hole-in-the-wall place. They made the food fresh, there was about a 15 minute or so wait even though we were the only ones there. But then they brought us free spicy pickled veggies, homemade salsa, and a different bubble tea sample for each of us. The crepes were very large, too; it ended up being a lot of food! All in all that was a good experience, not sure if the spicy veggies are standard but other reviewers said they got tea samples, too. While we were there (around the time school gets out) probably at least a dozen teenagers came and at least half of them just hung out, so it got really crowded.
The bubble tea was advertised as $3.00/small & $3.50/large which seems cheap anyway if you did want to splurge for that.
Chill sidewalk booths offer a cozy vibe, but be ready for a slight chill and prices that match the ambiance.

The food was very good. Excellent gluten-free bread. It seemed expensive for the size of the sandwich. I was expecting something 1.5-2 times larger given the price. We ate outside in one of the sidewalk booths. It was a bit cold and breezy, not sure if you can eat inside in the wine bar or not, so might want to watch the weather.
Between a park and a studio, this cozy spot boasts quick service, customizable options, and a refreshing atmosphere with nature nearby.

Dinosaur sandwiches is a small building between the lakeside landing park and the Pilates studio. The spring rolls are gluten free and very good! Very easy to customize. My husband who is not gluten free loved the crispy tofu bahn mi sandwich. I also got the watermelon litchi smoothie and it was delicious!
