We were in the area and looking for somewhere tasty to go for lunch, and after seeing the reviews, we decided we wanted to come to blackies! Even though we were a walk in, they were able to accommodate us and accommodate us, they did. Most of the menu can be made GF, and there are pages, upon pages to this menu. Not only did I enjoy my meal (I got the French Onion Cheesesteak with Fries and it was SUPERB 🤌🏽), but my gluten eating family also had a meal. My Dad even said it was the BEST Ruben he's ever had (and he loves a ruben). Since it was our first time there, our wonderful server was able to field all of my GF/Celiac-related questions with ease. The restaurant is owned by two lovely women: one of whom has Celiac. They have dedicated fryers, AND they have separate kitchen tools (knives, utensils, cutting boards, aprons, etc.) for the preparation of GF meals. On top of all that, my food was brought out FIRST and SEPARATELY. Our server even brought out a new bottle of ketchup with my food so that there wasn't any CC. I felt so well taken care of by the staff, and so safe while we were there, it was a new level of Celiac-care in this dining experience. I cannot more highly recommend blackies if you're ever in RI/Providence!!!

My family went to Rhode Roots for the first time yesterday and were very impressed. A++ all around. My wife has celiac disease and finding gluten free safe restaurants with such an extensive menu can be challenging. We tried the clam cakes and chowder and and they were delicious. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back and try some other items on the menu.

We had a phenomenal time at the moorings! The food was impeccable, and the service by our server Allie and the manager on the floor tonight was fantastic. I have gluten and dairy allergies so finding places to eat that can accommodate both allergies can be pretty difficult – especially when you are looking for something as specific as a gluten and dairy free lobster roll. This was my first time to Rhode Island and I had my heart set on having a phenomenal lobster roll bit wasn’t sure of the feasibility…the mooring did not disappoint. We will 100% be back!

The wine and dessert (cannoli) were great, but the entrees were pretty bad. We got the chicken milanese and it was some of the most overcooked chicken we have ever had. The gluten free pasta and sauce were mediocre at best. Not happy with the food, but service was nice and it was a pleasant environment. The water had a very bad after taste also, would not drink.

We had Toni, and if you want an amazing, relatable waitress that will go above and beyond for you every step of the way, REQUEST TONI. This is my go-to gluten free and allergen-safe restaurant. I have been to TwoTen Oyster Bar and Grill in South Kingstown, RI multiple times and have always enjoyed my experience. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view overlooking the water and ample outdoor seating. The food is mostly delicious, with fresh oysters and a fantastic crab dip that I highly recommend. They also have an extensive gluten free menu and even offer sushi. However, the service can be a bit hit or miss. During my last visit, there were very long wait times despite it not being crowded and being during the week. There was also conflicting information regarding happy hour ordering times, and our waitress messed up the billing and thought she lost my credit card after giving it to her. The lobster roll was a bit disappointing as it was supposed to be hot with butter but was room temp with no butter and a bit rubbery with a soggy bun. The under seasoned fries were also a letdown. Drinks took 45 mins to arrive and the ice in the cocktail was melted already upon arrival. Overall, I would still recommend TwoTen Oyster Bar and Grill for its beautiful atmosphere and mostly delicious food. It's a step above casual dining and perfect for a fun summer meal. Just be prepared for some drawbacks in terms of service and food quality. I wouldn't hesitate to return for another visit.

Delicious food, excellent service and wonderful gluten free selections, especially the gluten free chicken soup. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Dan’s Place is a nice family restaurant. They can accommodate large parties and I have to give them 5 stars all around. We have never had a bad meal at Dan’s Place.

Pretty good! We dined here at the end of the summer during an adventure around Newport. It was nice to sit outside for our meal. They are very accommodating for allergies, especially if you have Celiac disease like I do. Our steaks were tasty. However, I'm knocking off a star because my steak was a little overcooked and the staff were not the friendliest.

I wish I had known that their gluten free options were not the same as their on the menu options. I had heard the restaurant had a separate frier for gluten free orders and was so excited to try a new seafood spot, however the fried cod reuben I received was a cold batterless cod salad. The tarter sauce was more like a thin mayonnaise which soaked through the bread making it impossible to take out of the container. Beautiful establishment and friendly staff, but misleading info online led to an overall unpleasant experience.

Nearly all items on the extensive menu can be made gluten free. I had fish and chips! Which was excellent. The fish was so fresh and tender, the chips were chip/French fries. I also got a little loaf of gluten free bread! Also amazing with the cinnamon maple butter. And if you are so fortunate enough to have the server Julianne, your whole experience will be made better. You will leave feeling happier and know she truly cared about your food and dining experience. Her knowledge about gluten free food, caring attitude and willingness to go above and beyond should well be noted. I love, love love everything about this restaurant and can't wait to go back, and hope that Julianne will be working. A++++

The food is amazing every time I go there, also it’s the only place where I’ll move out of my comfort zone and try new things because he’s that good. I love the family oriented staff, their hospitality and authentic genuine personalities. I eat healthy and gluten free food and they go above and beyond to offer beautiful options. Definitely one of the top places on BI FOOD - the food is great and especially good breakfast place. Well known for their very cool toast varieties. Ciabatta, sourdough are really good. Bakery items are excellent, everyday is different pastries muffins and things and they are really good. MENU - this is an excellent menu that has a lot of variety for drinks and food. You can get smoothie or bowls, toast, coffee, sandwiches. Very good with Customizations. A lot of VEGAN / GLUTEN FREE options. SERVICE - the service here is amazing. They do get busy but if you see a line don’t be worried because it moves fast. They are very friendly and helpful. They take great caution with allergies. Tomaso is absolutely great!! ATMOSPHERE/LOCATION - definitely has that LOCAL VIBE but also are up to date on trends off the island. Outside seating very cool area and some lounge style seating as well. I will say it’s a little tight at times because they are busy. Parking can be tricky.

Came to Red Robin because they were very gluten friendly. Not any more. The menu no longer lists gluten free items. No gluten free buns. Fries were burnt stale and cold

They have a gluten friendly menu, but as a highly sensitive celiac, I’ve never had an issue. They even can make gluten free pancakes and sometimes will offer gluten free muffins. The only place we go for breakfast.

This is the only chain where my friend with a gluten allergy has never (knock on wood) had an issue with cross-contamination. No matter which location we have gone to, the food is always good and the staff is always friendly. Highly recommend.

I love Jersey Mike's and the fact that they offer gluten free bread. I have been to several different locations . What I didn't love on my last visit to this one was , when asked if it was a preference or allergy as soon as I said allergy the girl litteraly rolled her eyes at me ! I was so taken back I was in shock .The fact I was in a hurry kept me from speaking out as to what the problem was . There was no person in front of me and one person behind me , it wasn't a busy long line waiting .I shouldn't have to feel bad about ordering gluten free bread at an establishment that offers it ! Add to the fact she didn't follow thier own protocal and use the reserved slicer and also wiped down the counter leaving crumbs behind everywhere.

The Indian receptionist at our hotel recommended this restaurant and with good reason. Plenty of gluten-free options like Potato Dosa appetiser and lots of vegetarian curries, like the aubergine one I ordered. Brown and pillau rice, and an interesting chickpea bread. Large portions of delicious, slightly spicy food. Very nice Lime Shrimp.

The food here is out of this world. It is simply delicious, they are accommodating of Gluten allergies and have so many GF options. I ordered the baked penne and it was so delicious. Dont let location throw you off this place is a hidden gem. I order lunch from here for work alot and sometimes dine in at night. The decor feels a little bit tacky and I feel that improving this would put this place on a luxury dining list. Our server from 12/27/2024 was good overall. Half of the missing star would be because when I told her I had a gluten allergy she acted like it was an inconvenience saying "yep" and being some what short with me. She dropped the gluten free menu in front of me without saying anything. And when I ordered she didn't say anything to confirm she had my order. Just not the right energy with her. So that's half a star and the decor was the other half. Food 100/100 Service 85/100 Atmosphere/decor: 90/100

Incredibly nice people and such a great gluten free menu! I got the Ultimate Grinder and their gluten free clam chowder. The staff was knowledgeable about gluten. They even had gluten free cookies available but opted for the bowl of chowder instead. We also order the regular Ultimate Grinder which also looked incredible

When entering you're met with a quant and clean sitting area but the real deal is the quick, friendly and accurate service paired with a ton of healthy food options. My favorite is the gluten free Athena wrap that is full of veggies, grilled chicken and uses balsamic and hummus for added flavor. I also add banana peppers and olives because I want even more veggies. A decent spot to stop and sit but you can also order ahead and take your meal out to eat somewhere scenic, or home because you don't feel like cooking. Lol

Place is very clean. Service was great. My husband said pizza was delicious. My husband is fussy. His Italian Grinder he will eat today. I have Celiac. I used to get the GF pizza. They changed it. I do not like Cauliflower crust. Please go back to regular GF crust. Guy helped me carry out my order . I have walker. He was very nice. I got a LG Pepperoni Pizza & Italian Grinder.

Don’t recommend if you have an allergy. I was ordering and kindly asked if they would mind changing their gloves due to a gluten allergy. The lady’s mood entirely changed. Came back a few minutes later to tell me someone would be making it in the back. She relayed my order to him by saying, “I don’t believe in gluten free but she says she has an allergy” As someone who is fairly new to Celiacs Disease, I am insecure and already feel like a burden. Her comment was said directly in front of me and I believe it was entirely disrespectful and unprofessional. In addition, they made the wrong sandwich. This is the worst experience I’ve had thus far in the food industry regarding my dietary restrictions. Branch St location in Providence, RI.

Catering experience- awesome! Our association hosted an event at the local elementary school. We wanted to do a taco bar. Reached out to a bunch of places and things were really costly and could not be customized to meet our needs. Called Tio Mateo’s, immediately got catering information, menu accommodated gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan diets. Pricing was reasonable, service was kind and quick. Best part- everyone loved the food! It was a big hit. Will definitely work with them again!

What a waste of time! This location doesn’t have items that the Putnam Pike location has, such as dairy-free pesto sauce, corn-free/gluten-free cereal. So pissed.
