Great food at a place where people are just themselves. Vegan options for me and gluten free for my wife. You add in great coffee from Oddly Correct and this is best place for brunch.
Expect a casual vibe with lively conversations, unpretentious service, and a unique charm that keeps people coming back for more.

The interior design is really well done here. The service was excellent. The taste of the food was superb. My date was extremely pleased that they had a fully developed gluten-free menu. I got the dish with the large slab of bacon and pork chop. The flavor was really great. My only gripe would be that the thin cut pork chop was really overcooked. Maybe that is the intention? I realize a pork chop that thin is easy to turn into pork jerky but could be averted by being just a tad thicker. Or, at the very least, a pan sauce for the chop. Oh, and we were sitting right next to the server station and for sure had to clap a couple of fat fruit flies. I'm not sure what they were truly. Just a tiny black, flying bug. For sure not a house fly. Might need to clean the drains and lines. These are rather minor complaints and would not stop me from going back.
A hidden gem with a cozy vibe, local art, and fun events, perfect for date nights or gathering with friends in a vibrant neighborhood setting.

- Serves Messenger coffee.
- Espresso machine: La Marzocco Linea Classic.
- Food options: Bakery items (including gluten friendly options) and a full menu which looks ideal for brunch.
- Pet friendly; there’s a dog park out front.
- Seating: Efficient seating indoors; although the building is small the seating didn’t feel crowded. There’s lots of outdoor seating too.
Enjoy classic breakfast options in a great ambiance with a view of Union Station from the balcony, but be ready to pay a bit more.

The breakfast menu wasn't very imaginative-the offerings were classic and done well. A little pricey. Large portions. Would have liked to see a little more flexibility in terms of gluten free options. Lots of choices on the bar menu and the ambiance overall was great. We sat on the balcony overlooking union station and enjoyed it! I would suggest making a reservation to guarantee your spot in advance.
We had a nice breakfast one morning and a good brunch on Sunday while staying on site at Hotel Phillips. The buffet looked pretty good and the menu choices were diverse but controlled. They were allergen concious for our Celiac/Shellfish person which is always a bonus. Coffee was very good and there's a full bar for a little hair of the dog if you need it. You can also stop in for a drink at night if you'd like and the staff will be happy to see you.

What a lovely place in the midst of an up and coming area. Our family was delighted with the options for our gluten free family member as well as options for all of us to enjoy. It made one of those “where should we eat” arguments easy as we had every option available to us and there was no “not there” etc. 10/10 recommend it if you are looking for a family friendly but also trendy style place to eat. There is something for everyone.
Discover a spacious yet cozy dining spot with a charming ambiance and exceptional seasonal menu that’ll leave you eager for your next visit.

Had SUCH a phenomenal experience with Green Dirt on Oak! We went for dinner, and were very impressed with how lovely the upstairs dining room is. It’s quite large, but is arranged in such a way that it still feels intimate and inviting. The host and server both treated us wonderfully, and we were so impressed with the food. You can taste the difference of how fresh and local the food is. Their current menu is very produce-forward, and the flavor of the vegetables was as intense as their excellent cheeses. The asparagus dish is particularly swoon-worthy.) We also ordered the strip steak, which was cooked masterfully - a perfect med-rare, with the fat rendered beautifully. Some members of our party were also gluten-free, and we were very happy to see that they had multiple options on the menu that didn’t include any breads. We will definitely be back - we can’t wait to see how their offerings change seasonally. Thank you, Green Dirt team!
Perfect for a family night out, this spot impresses with a fantastic oyster selection and a well-paced dining experience.

Embarrassed to say we’ve lived in KC for 18 years and tonight was our first time in. It was perfection. Our service was excellent - the pace of the meal was great too, not too slow and not too rushed. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and they had a very accommodating menu. The steak tartare was delish and their oyster selection was fantastic (Black Magic for the win!!). We had our girls with us (15 and 5) and they were great with them too. We will absolutely be back. 👍🏻
