I’ve been coming here for years, and was so glad to visit again and realize it hasn’t changed—the atmosphere is perfect, the food is tasty, and the options are endless. I was super impressed with the options for Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten Free options.
Thank you Randi for the wonderful, delicious portions!

This was lovely. As a human with gluten intolerance it gets old feeling like I have to apologize for asking what the ingredients are and explaining why and what half the time in restaurants. Here, everything is clearly marked, our waiter asked about preferences right up front and was able to say what menu items to avoid and how other menu items could be easily modified. He was fantastic. The food and cocktails were delicious as was the ambience.
A cozy spot with unique flavors, welcoming vibes, and a chill atmosphere, perfect for a quick coffee break before thrifting nearby.

Don't sleep on this little Gem! The variety, the flavors -both drinks & donuts- are EXTRAORDINARY. The staff is amazing. TRUE MATCHA everything (quality & taste). Asian flavors infused (Ube, pandan, etc.) is a plus. I usually shy away from cake donuts because they are typically overly sweet but their cake donuts are moist, just enough sweetness... you actually enjoy the flavor it presents. They also have gluten free & vegan options that are equally as delicious. Their organic coffee (both drip & espresso) A+++. Easily one of my FAVORITE spots. My only regret - that I didn't try them sooner🥰
AMAZING!! They had a delicious vegan bannana muffin and the best vegan jerky I've ever had if your looking for a gluten free and vegan option coffee place i highly recommend them!
Cozy vibes and unique spice-infused dishes make this spot perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a chill co-working session.

A must! Please visit. Fantastic coffee options. Delicious breakfast options. You can not find eggs cooked our with the spices offered here. My favorite breakfast dish is the crossiant egg sandwich. Fluffy, scrumptious, and packed with flavor!
Ethiopian Injera that is gluten-free (unlike some local Ethiopian restaurants). A delicious and clean Ethiopian offering - without heavy oils.
We always order the vegan Platter or chickpea stew for lunch/dinner.
A cozy, cozy space to co-work, mingle. And enjoy!
Quills coffee is always delicious. This is the Quills location I choose if there are people I need to run into. I can't go in here without seeing at least three people that I need/want to talk to. It can be loud for working. I appreciate that they offer vegan and gluten free food items. Staff are always great.
Known for an incredible gingerbread latte and a vibrant local vibe with cool artwork and quick service, it’s a must-visit spot.

Monday around 1:30 at a slower time, I ordered ahead about 25 mins while driving through on way back to Virginia and u get there and they let me know that my food was stolen from the pick up desk. I would re organize where the pick ups are in the place to not be next to the window next to the door and next to staff by the counter instead. This set me back 25 mins, they offered a refund or remake but since I was driving I couldn’t do a refund because I was starving and have a gluten allergy so my options are limited. Really upset, P.S I own a business with 5 stars and have never left a bad review on google. Bacon was $$ for add on and was super thin and skinny. I was going to get a drink but decided not to because of the fiasco, if I was the owner or manager I would have atleast gotten the person a drink while waiting to remake. I ordered at 1:27, got there at 1:46 and it initially said 20 mins and had already been taken by someone so it’s not like I was running behind or anything! To add to this, I understand a lot of places do have a place for pick ups that are accessible for everyone but there typically not next to a door far away from staff and usually on Grubhub, Uber etc witch would mostly be drivers that would read more carefully then general public but they have pick up on clover which is where I ordered.
I would definitely suggest moving the pick up spot, as a Buisness owner this hurts my brain and that was a waste of resources and money on full stops end. I Feel super bad leading a bad review for the first time!

If you haven’t visited Haymarket on River Road yet, you’re truly missing out on one of Louisville’s most delightful spots! This place strikes the perfect balance between charming and chic, with a farm-to-table atmosphere that’s both welcoming and stylish. The real highlight? They grow their own herbs and flowers, making everything feel incredibly fresh and personal. From the moment you step in, you’re surrounded by rustic wooden shelves filled with freshly baked bread, gluten-free pasta, artisanal olive oils, and other handpicked local goodies.
What really stands out is how affordable everything is, especially considering the quality! You can enjoy a sandwich or salad, knowing it was made fresh that morning with ingredients sourced directly from their garden. And if you’re looking to unwind, they even host outdoor yoga sessions near their cozy coffee shop—a perfect blend of relaxation and great coffee.
Whether you’re stopping by for fresh groceries, a quick bite, or just to soak in the ambiance, Haymarket is sure to become a favorite!
Quirky spot with a patio vibe, tasty bites, and unique coffee options, but be ready for a wait if you don’t snag a reservation!

ORDER AT THE COUNTER.
Our waitress didn't tell us that ordering was done at the counter and we sat there for 15 minutes wondering why our waitress wasn't taking our order. Anyway, the gluten-free burger was pretty solid. I normally don't like pickles on a burger, but it works really well here (although it's somewhat odd they just put the burger on the plate with nothing with it; not sure why they did this when people eat with their eyes first). The shrooms and grits were a solid miss for me (the anise seed is off-putting if you don't like it licorice), but others enjoyed it. The campfire mule was a good take on the mule (pictured).
Oh, and we've been here twice with both times requiring a 1.5 hour wait. So, plan ahead.
Overall, it was a good cost/value, but a pain to get into when they don't accept reservations.

What makes this place unique is it coffee spices combination. Today I had the saffron latte with oatmeal milk, amazing so soothing and gentle taste. I accompanied with a gluten free chocolate scone. Gluten free dessert are a hit or miss. In this place it was a hit. They also have a vegan dessert This location is welcoming, and the service was great. Will be definitely back
The cafe portion of this place is adorable enough in itself. There are endless cat decorations, cat-themed treats, beverages, drinks, and pastries. The tea was delicious. Next time, I want to try the gluten-free, vegan dip.
The cat section, of course, was the real treat. All of the cats are adoptable, and I can't believe I left without taking one home! We were given instructions before entering, and many of the cats approached us immediately. The amount of time we had was...purrfect. :)
The owners were present and answered all of my many questions. They're clearly cat-loving and cat-obsessed. One of the kittens we cuddled had even been fostered by the owner and his wife.
I highly recommend this place if you want to hang out with friends, adopt a cat, or need a fine fix.

One of my favorite restaurants. They added the option for gluten free bread and gluten free buns and we can't get enough. Staff is always friendly. The food is always on time and delicious!!! They are also very knowledgeable about other dietary restrictions.
Fall in a Cup 🍂 is the perfect autumn drink, I got it iced and was not disappointed. They also have dairy-free and gluten-free snack bars (10/10 would recommend). Comfort vibe plus comfy seats.
We stopped in at my Sister's suggestion after volunteering for the Color Run. A small line was forming at the door, nonetheless we were greeted promptly and with a smile. The cozy, breakfast-focused restaurant has a homey feel and a menu with standard offerings (omelets, french toast, pancakes, eggs dishes, etc.) and signature dishes (Ultimate Breakfast Burrito, Baja or Crab Cake Benedict, Monte Cristo, Shrimp & Grits, etc.). The waffles and french toast come in a variety of flavors and can be customized with toppings to your liking. Pillowy biscuits are topped by a flavorful and creamy sausage gravy creating an unforgettable biscuits and gravy.
The lunch menu adds a host of soups, salads and sandwiches. Note, for those with restricted diets they have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan dishes. To add, for those non-pork eaters, turkey sausage and bacon are on menu. Pls like if this was helpful.

I’ve been pining to come here and try their lattes for a while and so glad that I finally did! We went on a Saturday and the staff was so sweet and helpful. I have celiacs so they made sure to ensure that any of their gluten free scones weren’t cross contaminated and also started me clear of drinks I couldn’t have. I ended up getting the chocolate scone and the Kiwa Signature iced latte. I love black sesame so this was a treat. My boyfriend got the Biscoff iced latte which came with a cookie! We can’t wait to come back and try more from the seasonal menu :) and I’ll be back to work remotely from this cafe soon for it’s serene atmosphere (it reminds me of an art gallery or an upscale cafe in a metro area)
