It's been forever since I received a small (very generous) bowl of crispy sweet potato fries. There's an incredible range of burgers to cover every conceivable desire and if they don't have it you can make your own. The gluten free menu is amazing. The presence of a vegan lentil patty excellent, and it tasted good too. The vibe was great, even at a midweek lunch, the service friendly and fantastic. Craft beers were great. Really theres not a lot of negatives. Maybe a bit more seasoning in the burger patty and on the fries but it was nearly there. I'd go back and work out just what was going to be my new favourite burger, and have more of those crispy crunchy sweet potato fries.

Fries and other fried foods are not cooked in a separate fryer, so not coeliac safe - separate utensils but no separate preparation processes. Really helpful and kind management and staff, but we chose not to risk it. (We have eaten here prior to a coeliac diagnosis in our family and it’s truly delicious!!)

Stopped by for a quick bite on my first night in Cairns. I’m coeliac and it was nice to see so many options. The chef also came out to double check if I was coeliac or just intolerant which I really appreciated. Maple bacon burger & chips was very tasty. Would go back.

We came across this place and decided to have lunch there. Good decision! My wife is a coeliac, and the food at Rick's ticked all the boxes. The menu has lots of GF options, even fries, which is a rarity. They have separate prep area and fryer, so the chances of cross contamination are low. Both of us really enjoyed our meals, and the GF chocolate cake we had for dessert was special, so much so that we ordered an extra one to take away! The place has a relaxed atmosphere, and it's just across the road from the beach. A winner!

I’m a regular visitor at Gemellini. Always enjoy the food. The pasta is always amazing. Pizza is sooo yum. I usually order gluten free base for the pizza and it’s probably the best GF pizza I’ve ever eaten! Well done, guys! The atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. I have positive experience both dining in and take away. Parking can be a challenge, but there is enough in the area. Unfortunately, no photos, because I ate everything 🤣

Shared a beautiful dinner whilst on Hamilton Island with my partner. We ordered the bresaola and maple glazed carrots for entree and the sautéed gnocchi and ragu for mains. As a coeliac, the staff were fantastic in recommending which were 100% guaranteed GF options. The atmosphere of the restaurant combined with sitting out on the deck was great. We will definitely be back on our next Hamilton Island trip, and I would recommend Manta Ray to any couples, families or individuals seeking a beautiful dinner outing on the island.

We enjoyed a Galentines Day high tea at Sassfrass recently. There was so much delicious food that we had to take some home with us. My daughter, who is a coeliac, said her gluten free option was very tasty too. The owner took the time to explain what was on the plates, so many excellent choices. Delicious food and a great view of Cotton Tree beach. Almost the entire menu is gluten free as corn flour is traditional Mexican. We had the best crumbed calamari in town, as well as delish breadfruit and shrimp avo Mango salad. Yummmm

Coffee and atmosphere was lovely, but limited gluten free options. Out of ~6 items labeled as gluten free in the menu, only 1 could be made gluten free for a coeliac (all others had fried elements that were not GF). Appreciate the kitchen being honest but disappointing to have things mislabeled and not have that communicated at time of ordering.

For 3 years, we have been going to the Coolum Surf Club for any dinner out there could possibly be. From having a beer and watching the sunset to having a luxurious dinner out, Coolum Surf Club ticks all the boxes. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and a large variety of gluten free and vegan food is also on offer. Next time you think of going out for a meal, please consider this amazing restaurant.

Every time I come to YoYo’s I am blown away by the food. It is delicious, interesting and well priced. I have taken many friends there and we haven’t had a bad review so far. Recently we took a coeliac friend to YoYos and we were delighted by how much of the menu was gluten free. The front of their balcony has a few tables that are pet friendly too. Bonus!

As someone newly diagnosed with coeliac disease, navigating where to eat has been really overwhelming — until I found this restaurant. On my first visit, my partner and I decided to dine in. I let the staff know I had to flag my meal as a gluten allergy, and I was genuinely impressed by how knowledgeable and reassuring they were. It turns out the menu is about 80% gluten free, which was such a relief and made choosing a dish so much easier. I felt confident and safe the entire time — something I haven’t felt in a long while when eating out. For my second visit, I ordered takeaway. Again, I mentioned my gluten allergy, and the staff immediately let me know that while one of the items I was interested in was made with gluten free ingredients, it had unfortunately been exposed to gluten during cooking. That level of honesty and awareness gave me even more confidence in their practices. Since being diagnosed, I’ve struggled to find places that feel truly safe and informed about coeliac disease. This restaurant has been the first place that not only understands but also cares enough to take the necessary precautions. Highly recommend to anyone with coeliac or gluten sensitivity — this place is a rare find!

Pizzas were the worst we’ve ever had. So so salty felt like they’d been dipped in the ocean before being served. We ordered 4, one which was gluten free and it was beyond terrible. My friend got her money back as her crusts were clearly burnt and instead of making a new base — they just completely cut off the crusts hoping we wouldn’t notice.

Sails and Verandah are the exact same place, not sure why there’s 2 on google maps… Decent food, bit on the pricier side (almost $30 for a burger). The burger itself was nice and you could change it to gluten free, free of charge. Couldn’t change it to dairy free also though, the option was unavailable. Need to fix this issue to allow more flexibility in dietary requirements. The chips weren’t fresh and tasted a bit processed. Lots of cockatoos eating left over food. Personally enjoyed this but if you’re terrified of birds, might not be the funnest experience lol.

Thankyou to the lovely staff member who fixed a custom drink and made it perfect 👌 the sauce with the steak is perfection theres nothing like it anywhere else and I'd encourage others to give it a try you won't be disappointed. The Italian in me for whatever reason didn't feel not like steak for the choice when going to such a lovely Italian restaurant so while away, I got a taste of it though and had to come back a few night later and my friend and I both ordered it it was that good. They got their perfect cocktail again, and I had the most delicious house cocktail. Thankyou it's was all delicious and perfect. All of the food was amazing, but that steak and sauce 🤌 All of the staff were perfect level of kind and courteous with attention to detail and making sure everything ok while being helpful. As an ambulatory wheelchair user who uses a powerchair, it is often a nightmare going one for meals. I never know how staff will react to needing to make room for a large power chair and it "being in the way" for the first time in a long time I felt normal again despite being in my chair they just made adjustments and didn't change tone of voice, show it on their faces or any other way no annoyance at having to move things. Thankyou! Being able to just have dinner and enjoys it and not worry made it all the more perfect it should be standard but it isn't hence my writing all this, all the staff did all the right things please keep it up. Please keep being a safe and welcoming place for wheelchair/powerchair users there arent alot of safe places. I'm also having to eat gluten loved how gluten free friendly the menu was! I ordered their gluten free carbonara takeaway the first night then when going back a few nights later got it again because it was absolute divine creamy heaven 🤤 (I can not comment on the bathroom and if it is WC friendly as I never used the facilities)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently hosted a birthday lunch at Maya Mexican Restaurant for a group of 20, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience! The staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that all of our dietary requirements were met—from gluten-free to vegetarian and everything in between. Everyone had a fantastic time, and the food was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making for the perfect setting to celebrate. Lots of GF options with most tacos automatically being gluten free. Tacos are tasty and full of flavour. They do have a sign to indicate a $4 “coeliac surcharge” to ensure food is cooked separately without cross contamination.
