The food was absolutely fantastic – but the service was even better! As someone with food allergies, I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The waitress asked about any allergies already during the reservation and later pointed out exactly what I could safely eat from the menu. It's especially recommendable for people with celiac disease. A truly wonderful experience!

Thank you team for such a wonderful dinner tonight! You catered for our two families, including young children. Everything was perfect! Delicious food and huge portions! Kids food was fantastic and was brought out first (so kind) We sat outside and the kids could run around and play on the grass area and even play with a game set you lent them. Two of us were celiacs and you catered perfectly for us. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back 🥰

The Big Breakfast was big, the long black was delicious, the staff were friendly with a smile and a quip whilst still professional. I can't understand the poor reviews. Our meal arrived in good time - it was obviously freshly cooked. I asked for GF, and nothing was too much trouble. They swopped out my sausage for halloumi, and they hid a tasty tomato under the bacon. Best bit - the potato rosti/hash brown. Beautifully seasoned. There was a whole shelf of gluten-free sweet treats, 7 options! If only I'd had room after breakfast.

Loved this place, inside is so beautiful, the staff member I spoke to was so friendly and the pizza was delicious. I went to so many places in Wanaka looking for somewhere that could do a gluten free pizza that was coeliac safe and I finally found it here. Pizza base was so crispy, the pizza was amazing and I'm definitely going back next time!

My review is focusing on the set menu, but I was wanted to preface this by saying that this place is always nice, and always quite gluten-friendly. We came here for the set menu on New Years as a group of four and it was absolutely phenomenal. Unfortunately for us, though every item was delicious, the greatest hits were the items that aren't normally on the menu (I loooooved the beef tataki so much that we asked for more). No need to be scared or worried about there only being one option for the set menu, because every option was stunning. And I'm saying that as a relatively fussy eater. The staff were generally amazing, but something that stood out to me is how accommodating the staff were when it came to our celiac friend. In spite of it being a set menu, they managed to ensure that she had gluten-fres options, especially when it came to dessert and we finally got served our food separately. Would highly recommend for anyone that can't eat gluten, as we frequently come herd with that friend for the normal menu, as there are plenty of options to choose from. One thing to note about Mekong Baby is that it is more on the expensive side, but I wholeheartedly believe that it is worth it for the food and service.

It’s always difficult eating out when gluten free but there’s so many GF options!!! The girl working out the front really sold it to us! Platter was awesome but make sure to starve yourself before going as it’s a huge portion! Ha!

Thank you for your lovely service. I organised a team dinner for 19 here. From Chloe who I was texting to organise the event, to the staff on the night who were all smiles and patient even when I got confused with the bill at the end (totally me and my bad maths) and the efforts they made on a special vegetarian, non dairy, non gluten roast! Not to mention the beef roast they did for us mid week! And the great mocktails for those not drinking as well as a great selection of alcoholic options. All round made for a very lovely evening and some very full and happy people! Thank you!

Delicious food, great service, and they were able to accommodate for a gluten allergy!!Ordered the Julio’s corned beef carnitas hash w/out the cheese (absolutely delicious), GF eggs benny w/ streaky bacon, and a side of the potatoes. Also got an iced latte and a coffee which were nice.

We came for a team dinner. There were 7 of us. We highly rated the organic chicken and short rib. They were just delicious. One of our team members is a celiac and had a reaction from the chicken dish. Although she had specified that she was a celiac at the time of ordering, and asked the server delivering her meal to make sure, she was still "glutened". Unsure what went wrong there, but Giraffe may need to assess their processes when handling gluten.

Fantastic Vietnamese eatery. Everything tasted fresh and was super flavourful. I especially recommend the lemongrass tofu, which was especially rich in flavour. Almost everything on the menu is gluten and dairy friendly, and also plenty of vegetarian dishes on offer.

Our waiter was outstanding, we missed his name, a gentleman with a bead, he was attentive but not intrusive. The 2 person tables were well spaced so you could quietly chat, the kings choice meals was brilliant, I usually have trouble finding food as vegan and gluten free, but this was expertly catered for.

Incredible lunch, could not fault it. The food and service were the highlights for sure but the atmosphere and decor were great too. Every single dish we ordered was delicious, the Pacifica Ceviche was the highlight. The menu sounded really interesting and delicious and it lived up to those expectations. The menu was very clear on what was vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free. The service from the whole team was great, attentive and informative, especially from our main server Olivia. She was really friendly and professional but still felt like being served by a friend which is exactly what I enjoy about nz hospo. The level of service from each team member was fantastic and I wish them all the best over this crazy season

Went here for mums birthday lunch, everyone's food came out luke warm. My pizza was lacking flavour, it was the tofu one. It was very bland. The calamari my sister got the gluten free version and it was small for the price and lacking flavour. Mums seafood chowder was yummy but not hot and someone else got a cherizo breakfast special that was great value and yummy. They have a huge menu with heaps of gluten free options which is great. The waitress was lovely and very tentative to our table. Would probably go back but would ask for the meal to be hot and wouldn't get a gf pizza!

Ordered through UberEats - GODDAMN! So damn delicious!!! Shout out to Haylee who informed me of the coeliac options here through email. Enjoyed the Sirloin Steak with red wine jus, mash & veges and the Mango Panna Cotta. Everything was so perfectly cooked, seasoned, and fresh! The portions were incredible and worth every cent! Very good experience at Charlotte’s kitchen. Staff were friendly, atmosphere was great (but very busy) and the food came out fast and was delicious. Highly recommend getting at least one pizza! The best thing is that they take food allergies seriously. The menu is labeled (eg gluten free, dairy free, vegan etc) so you know what’s what. And the staff always ask the kitchen if you have any further questions. Definitely recommend this place if anyone in the family has dietary restrictions.

Oh my goodness..... what a meal! Started with some edamame beans with a garlic twist..... being gluten free, there were only two things on the menu for a main. Not feeling like sashimi, we had the lamb..... exploding with a flavour punch and falling apart with tenderness..... holy crap the meal ended too soon..... so we asked about a gluten free dessert, not disappointed at all!..... the chocolate miso delice was to die for..... the chefs, wait staff and bar persons have truly given us a meal and drinkies to remember..... thank you for your hard work and service for your customers...... Wow, just …..wow. We are from Wellington and thought we would pop up to Palmerston North to see our son on a course. We had numerous recommendations for this place let’s give it a go. From the awesome conversation we had with the reservation person to the wonderful welcome and staff. The night was such a success. Actually worth the 3 hr round trip from Wellington. Ohhhhh the food…. Well I love to say the pasta was loved, the gluten free burger was one of the best my wife has ever had and the meet tray my son and I shared was almost too big….almost, but if i did say all that then maybe next time I went there it would be too busy and we would miss out. If you like good atmosphere, customer service and amazing food, go to Little Savanna.
