Very knowledgeable staff for allergies. I got the fish tacos and when I asked the waitress about switching the sauce from a dairy one she had an amazing recommendation! The tacos came as a rice bowl for GF and had an allergy notice indicated on my meal. Amazing place!

Service here was amazing! This gluten free bakery has got to be one of the BEST things I have ever had before! The service here is very good and I must say they are really nice employees. I hope to come back to this place over the weekends and even tho it's expensive all it matters is that it's the best in town! Also, thank you for everything you guys do for the brunswick area teen center! I go to the teen center alot and I have some of the granola deserts and I LOVE them alot. I liked the two boston cream donuts and the smores bar I had this morning. Again thank you guys for everything and I can see this business being the best ones in town!

Travel to Portland for a few days to get away and we heard that this restaurant had great gluten-free pizza. We went. I had a regular pizza. My wife had gluten-free. The drinks were great. The atmosphere was great. The view of the water was great. A must visit destination

Ordered take out, a simple burger on a gluten free bun with onion and fries. That's it. Didn't get the GF bun, the burger was almost raw and the fries were so soggy they were almost mashed potatoes, they also had a strange chemical taste. Meal went right into the trash, not driving all the way back. Been here a few times before and the BBQ is hit or miss. This will be the last time I order from here.

Pros:
Since I couldn’t read the donut options (see con below) staff was very friendly and accommodating
Holy cannoli options are a fun idea
Cannoli cream had great flavor
Decently priced
Large donuts for price
Thin and crispy so very unique
Easy to find
In asking for staff recommendations they were conscientious on if I was gluten-free
Cons:
Menus were difficult to read (I have a vision issue so it wasn’t bolded or popping - yes you can take photos and zoom in. See positive above)
Tried the cinnamon sugar holy cannoli and was messy (understandable and expected) but don’t had little to no flavor
In chocolate sea salt the chocolate was a great base but didn’t get any sea salt flavor
Indulge in unique, specialty treats with a rotating selection and quick service that keeps the lines moving smoothly, attracting fans from miles away.

As someone who is allergic to gluten and a few other common ingredients, I struggle to find good, satisfying, hand-made, authentic food pretty much everywhere. So when I say that Empire Chinese Kitchen's Orange Beef literally (and by literally I mean literally, not figuratively) made me cry - it is not an exaggeration. I had to choose between wolfing the entire plate down without taking a breath, like I wanted to, and savoring literally every single bite. The taste was sophisticated, nuanced, amazing - AND GLUTEN FREE. The waitstaff didn't blink an eyeball when I said I was celiac and did research up to and including calling the farm that is the source of their ingredients to check on another allergy for me. My dining companions similarly enjoyed everything on their meal, and I can vouch for the gluten free steamed buns, as well. I cannot wait to go back! It's an hour from my house, and I'm already counting my gas money.

Made it a point to stop here on our way to Portland. The location is amazing and the beers are delicious! I was recently diagnosed with celiac and knowing I'd be missing out on breweries was a little bit of a bummer. These beers are the real deal, even my non celiac husband loves them! The only downside is its 2 hours from where I live! Ha! The merch is so cute too!

The food was good and it had many g/f options. My daughter is celiac and told the waitress many times before ordering that she has an allergy. They then brought her food on a non gluten free bun. The waitress said “my bad” which then left my daughter to eat alone because they had to remake her food . This leaves a bad taste in your mouth. She never apologized, nothing. I was very disappointed. If you have an allergy beware, they don’t take it seriously.

Gluten free grilled cheese no extra charge? YES. I didn't choose the celiac life, it forced itself upon me. This was a SUPER exciting find for the day after our bar crawl when we desperately needed carbs and comfort. The grilled cheeses were great but I was really impressed by the tomato soup, which I don't normally like!

I have been going here since moving to Maine in 2020....not because I am medically gluten free....just because it is great stuff! I try to stop in just for a muffin but usually come away with a lot more! Lots of creative variety, side by side with the old standby--delicious blueberry muffin, in case you're not in the mood for the fun rotating unique flavors. I am not telling my favorites because I want some to be left when I get there! LOL

AMAZING! The place is cute and pristine, menu is temping. Turns out the freindly, knowledgable gent who took our order, cooked and delivered our fabulous meal was the owner of the fishing boat that supplies the restaurant - WOW! Got a hot and a cold lobster roll with a side of whole belly fried clams. Flipped thru a photo book of his fishing boat and crew in action that was on our table while we waited - nice touch. Lobster rolls arrived on large griddled, buttered sweet rolls and were piled high with big chunks and whole claws, mine gently kissed with the lightest amount of mayo - so fresh - WOW, again! My son devoured his hot lobser roll after uttering, "oh wow", after his first bite. The clams were so plump and fresh, so lightly battered and perfectly fried, none clumped together - honestly, we plotzed. Apparently, they're gluten-free, too. They were likely the best I've ever eaten. Packing a cooler on the next trip to bring some fresh fish back from the in-restaurant market. If New England Fishmongers isn't on your 'MUST GO" list for your visit to Kittery, fire your travel planner. Local? RUN, DON'T WALK to this gem!! Sorry, no photos, was too busy enjoying it IRL.

First time here, despite multiple visits to Freeport, as we only live an hour away. Menu had a lot of options that appealed to us as my husband is GF due to Celiac. We were excited & decided to try Linda’s instead of our usual restaurant choice. Unfortunately, half way thru his haddock melt he pulled a black hair out of his mouth! Instant spoiler. He couldn’t even eat his fries & coleslaw after this. Waiter offered a free dessert, which is a difficult option for someone with Celiac Disease and his appetite now gone from the disgusting hair. Paid for a meal that half of it was wasted.
Won’t take a chance again. We will stick to the Bistro Grill for dining when in Freeport

I always order takeout here since my husband gets takeout at another restaurant nearby. The food has always been great! I like the food here because of the large gluten free menu.
When I order seafood I always ask for the lunch size which is plenty for me. The last 3 times ordering I’ve paid for the dinner size and probably received dinner size, but ordered lunch size.
This last time if my husband hadn’t verified if it was gluten free I would have had a meal I couldn’t eat. He had to wait an extra 10 minutes for a new batch. Again it was the dinner size which is fine, but not what I ordered. In the meantime his food he picked up was now cold.
I recommend when ordering over the phone have them read your order back to you and verify the price. Also verify when picking up you get what you ordered especially if you have dietary restrictions.
The online menu prices have not been updated for quite some time and are off by quite a bit. We requested a takeout menu to keep on hand.
Chill vibes and a cozy outdoor patio make this spot perfect for enjoying tasty bites and refreshing drinks after a day of exploring downtown.

Stopped in today, Christmas Eve, looking for a quick bite. I know it can stink to be working today- despite this, the girls at the counter were so bright and cheerful. This place is #1 on our list for trips to Maine. We actually drove 4 hours because of how fabulous Stones Throw is. The food is sooo good. We’ve had several meals here and made a second trip just weeks apart. We booked the Nevada and never left the block. The best gluten free bread my sweetheart has ever had. Lobster rolls called us back! You do not leave here hungry! The portions are too much! And the bill….i checked to see if they forgot to charge something that we ordered. It didn’t seem like enough.

So glad we decided to eat here—good service, even better food. Panang curry was flavorful and mildly spicy, and the chicken was very tender. The tofu pad thai, which was served like an omelette, was also excellent. Gluten-free options were plentiful and clearly marked. A little on the pricier side, but we got what we paid for.

My boyfriend and I stopped here because their menu had their gluten free options clearly labeled which can be a struggle when eating out. Our server was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and was able to recommend an appetizer (Tatsuta Age!) that was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got sushi which he said was very good and I had the Pho that was everything I was hoping it would be! I will be adding this to my list of safe restaurants to return to in the future.

I'm from CT & come up to York often, everytime I come I make it a point to grab some breakfast here, I crave it! The quality is consistent, they use fresh ingredients, the staff are always friendly, there's gluten free options available & they sell lovebirds donuts too! 5 stars all the way *****
If you can't make a good glazed donut, you have no business making donuts. This was the worst glazed donut I've ever had.
We got two dozen assorted, and coffee - and that costed us over $100. A couple of the donuts were gluten free, and those were strangely the best ones - though still bad.
Dry, heavy, cold, stale tasting. The toppings were ok, pomegranate was better than blueberry somehow, strange for Maine. Either way you'll have the feeling of a brick slowly moving through your digestive system.
The coffee was terrible, burnt sludge.
I would almost give it two stars, because the attendants were at least nice, but that price tag just kills it for me too much. Avoid!

My sister has a gluten allergy and the staff was incredibly rude when we inquired. They advertise a whole GLUTEN FREE fry options but the fryer isn’t a separate fryer. So why advertise it as GF and then get rude when asked about it?
