Cute little bakery on Wentworth Street Blackheath, I've just realised they sell gluten free bread 🍞 and have 3 flavours - parmesan and rosemary, field loaf and fruit loaf. Love the parmesan for a delicious savoury bite 🫦 even with just butter 🧈 toasted and the fruit toast is delicious 😋 👌🏼, I get all 3 flavours. Not cut, and wrapped in plastic so you need to cut yourself and wrap. Today we tried the gf orange and almond cake - super moist and very nice, coffee was good too (vanilla lattes).... there is an undercover area outside at the front to sit or you can sit inside, it's not like a typical cafe atmosphere but it's a great place to stop and stock up on baked goods especially bread. My dogs love getting a piece of toast of their fresh gf bread when I get home. 🐕
A charming spot with a beautiful vibe where the team goes the extra mile to cater to your needs and ensure a pleasant experience.

As a coeliac, and when travelling, it can be stressful finding a place I feel comfortable to eat with how strict I have to be with gluten but the Victory Cafe was absolutely beautiful! When chatting with one of the waitresses and informing her I was coeliac she was wonderful and let me know what I could eat there and what they could change with other meals, she was also great in letting me know how they minimise the risk of cross contamination. Great food too!
Featuring a relaxed vibe, this spot is perfect for unforgettable celebrations, offering tailored options for diverse dietary needs and an impressive drinks list.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of holding our entirely coeliac safe wedding reception at BLAQ Bar and Restaurant at Kyah Hotel with approx. 100 guests. Everything served on the night was not just coeliac safe but able to be easily amended for all other dietaries.
Across our guests we had vegans, lactose intolerance, soy intolerance, anaphylaxis to shellfish - you name it. Everyone who required an amendment got one or an alternative. Executive chef, Mate, executed fried chicken, salt and pepper squid, pastry, GF soy sauce, all the things that make a little coeliac happy. When we asked them to create the gluten free cake which they’d once had as a special menu item, it was no hassle.
I have loved Blaq and Kyah for a long time now, dining there several times in the lead up to our wedding. We won’t ever stop visiting because not only is their food striving to be safe for all dietaries, it is absolutely delicious. Oh and… so is the drinks list! The wine on the night was a huge hit with our guests, which of course we knew it would be because we’d picked them ourselves based on our tasting at the restaurant.
We walk away with fond memories of our entire wedding planning journey at the assistance of Sam, and in particular Mate and bar manager Jess. BLAQ at Kyah will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Excellent seasonal menu. Wednesdays is BYO night ($10 corkage/bottle). This is our 3rd time at Ates and the food and service is phenomenal. The restaurant seats maximum 37, including outdoor courtyard. Well spaced tables, warm atmosphere and Shaun our waiter was fabulous.
The duck with mandarin and sechuan was a stand out.
Gluten free friendly also. A staple restaurant for Blackheath. Highly recommend.

When we first moved into the area we were told to get pizza here, being 100% gluten free we dismissed this and went elsewhere for gf pizza. However recently we were told they do gf pizzas and we should try them. We did and got our favourite gf meatlovers pizza.... hoping not to get sick. All the while eating it i just kept saying "are you sure this is gf?" It was that good! We're addicted now and have had 6 so far since then, not sick afterwards at all lol! Just a note to coeliacs that we are not coeliac just gluten intolerant (me) and wheat allergy (husband) so we both get different types of illness for 4 days afterwards if we have gluten. We have had the bbq sauce even on the base every time and nothing.... I'm afraid to ask if it is gluten free or not (usually bbq sauce is not). So I can imagine the other pizzas, pides and kebabs are also delicious 😋. We're regulars!!! I'm even going to have to use other names when I order so it's not so obvious how many we're eating 😬
A cozy spot in the city for tasty treats and quick bites, minus the long wait, but foam lovers may have mixed feelings about the drinks!

Looking for a sweet spot in the city? Look no further than Ellie Belly's Dessert Bar! They've got simple toasted sandwiches that hit the spot and won't have you waiting around like a Victory Cafe victim. The only critique I have is that my flat white had too much foam. But hey, some people are into that kind of thing. So if you're in the mood for some tasty treats and not-so-tasty foam, Ellie Belly's is the place to be! Also good Gluten free options!

Excellent smooth coffee made from Toby’s Estate beans. Cakes were delicious, gluten-free passionfruit cake was zesty and moist, so too was the blueberry cake. Visited on a Friday afternoon at 3.30pm and definitely recommend visiting!
