My wife found this because she's gluten-free. By far one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I don't think I could've finished my meal fast enough

A friend and I were on a girl's trip to the area, and we are so glad we went to Mill Street Grill. Hannah was our server, and she was SO delightful. I have to eat gluten free, and she was able to make recommendations to help my meal be delicious but also safe for me. My friend got the prime rib, and she said it was tied for the best prime rib she's ever had. This is a place to keep on the list to visit!

It’s a rare pleasure for me to go to a burger place because thanks to an Alpha-gal tick bite I am allergic to red meat. The chicken burger at Remedy is amazing even without the bacon and the cheese (also a dairy allergy). Finally they have a gluten free bun that stays together when you bite into it and really tastes great. My wife enjoyed her chicken burger with all the fixings. The fries are seasoned to perfection and we enjoyed the sauce. Atmosphere is cozy and warm with a well stocked bar. Highly recommended.
Enjoy a special menu with delicious options and a cozy atmosphere that keeps locals coming back for more.

I've lived in Harrisonburg for over 25 years, and this is the first time I've eaten at this delightful restaurant. I'm not sure what took me so long, but now I realize what I have been missing out on! We took my father there for his 76th birthday (his suggestion), and it didn't disappoint! The atmosphere is authentic German, with all the joviality that goes with it! (The owner led the whole restaurant in singing Happy Birthday to him, which he loved!) We were greeted with smiles and live accordion/horn music. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our server kept our drinks full. The food was phenomenal, with generous portions of tasty fare. There is plenty of variety - for carnivores as well as vegan and gluten-free folks. The desserts are delectable - be sure to save room!
This charming spot boasts a beautiful old building, great coffee, a lovely atmosphere, and a diverse selection of local craft beers.

we arrived midmorning looking for some gluten-free egg sandwiches. Unfortunately, they were out of gluten-free bread and we had to exit to another restaurant. Coming out of the food service industry as a supplier to restaurants I know and they knew they could go buy gluten-free bread at a local market, but instead of doing that they turned two customers away. As a health food store and café, they should have kept some gluten-free bread in the freezer or gone and bought some. Would’ve loved to try their food.
A must-visit gem with a vibrant atmosphere and a diverse menu, perfect for those looking for unique flavor combinations.

Ever since they opened, Chicano Boy has been one of the best restaurants in downtown Staunton and arguably the best Mexican restaurant in the Shenandoah Valley. I would recommend a particular dish, but every meal I've gotten here has been great. In addition to the food itself, their salsas are fantastic.
And they're also great for people with allergies to gluten and dairy.
Seriously can't recommend this place enough.
Enjoy a quick, healthy stop with great service and unique treats for those on the go!

It was close to 10 p.m. and I ordered through the drive-through. The young man who took my order didn't catch that I needed gluten-free. However, he was friendly, apologetic, and quick to replace it.

Quaint restaurant in historic area of city next to the train depot. There is plenty of indoor and some outdoor seating. Menu has several gluten free options which was nice. The Brussels Sprout appetizer is a must try. I had a great burger and my wife had the steak sandwich. Franklin was our server and ge was awesome. Overall a great experience for us out of town guests.

This place did an amazing job with our wedding cake. We sent reference pictures to give an idea, and the cake turned out exactly how we wanted it. We also had gluten free cupcakes that turned out to be a major hit as well. Overall, a great experience, and the cake enhanced the wedding in such a special way!

Gluten allergies in the family didn't have to stop us! We ordered the Margherita Pizza and the hot honey soppressata Salami (can't remember the actual name of the pie)....both were delicious! The sauce on the Margherita was amazing...the gluten free crust was crispy and flavorful. The hot honey was just enough heat and cooled by the ricotta. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. The hostess was very friendly and welcomed us immediately upon arrival. Our server Lauren was as awesome as the food! She's super friendly and welcoming. We had a great visit and will definitely return. I would love to see online ordering become an option.

We love coming here regularly. Great bites even if you don’t eat gluten and prefer paleo. Service is always warm and cheerful. Lighting and wood floors and deco are charming. Bathrooms clean. I don’t drink much alcohol and lately they have been carrying a delightful regional kombucha which I’m so excited about I’ve been craving it and making the trip more often to our favorite watering hole. However they keep running low or out so I hope they start stocking more! And today (for the first time) the fruit was a little expired and it got me thinking having seasonal (local?) fruit on the menu to sub into their cheese boards would be next level. I would also suggest some sound treatment as it can also easily get too loud, though we love when we can sit outside and enjoy the golden hour.
Known for its impressive attention to detail and fresh ingredients, this spot ensures a standout, hassle-free experience for all visitors.

I never write reviews for anywhere so this is new to me. Just had to say they did really well with my Gluten free order. Cleaned everything and tasted great. First sub I have had in almost 25 years!
We had a wonderful, affordable lunch here. They had ample options for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten free. I would definitely go here again. I got a gluten free Reuben with chips and fruit and it was delicious.

Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere, and delicious food! Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Alcoholic drinks available.
Our family loves Massaki. We are usually a mix of sushi and hibachi eaters. Everything is always good & the staff is great. It's extremely difficult to eat gluten free at any Japanese steakhouse so I appreciate that they will make an order of hibachi without soy sauce (separate in the kitchen) if you ask.
I called before I went to ask if they have Gluten Free pizza she said yes we do. So when I got there I ordered the gluten free pizza then she says well it is fixed with the other pizzas around( flour ) is that going to be ok, I ask do you cook it on the same pizza pan she said no. I was there in the area for a few hours did not know the area so I went ahead and ordered it. The sauce was to sweet for me and the crust was tough. But the service ( waitress) was very good & really sweet. So if you are very gluten sensitive I would pass on this place.
We ordered online while on a road trip. My husband is limited to what he can eat as he is gluten free and allergic. Ordering online was simple and easy-we had no problem with that. We arrived and I had to get in line for a fountain drink I forgot to add the order. I saw the cherry limeade and was excited to try it out for the first time. I order after a short wait and attempted to paid. The woman at the register (whose name badge said manager) told me my card was declined. I don't know what she did but my bank card worked fine before and after that which leads me to believe that was an error. I didn't get the lime for my drink and the cherry limeade at the free style was disgusting. It tasted like cherry syrup. I went to get our bag of food and found only the sandwiches. They failed to include the 3 kids drinks, 3 kids sides, and my husband's chips. There were 4 employees working but it seemed very chaotic. I finally asked someone where my missing items were at and he went in search of everything. He came back with a brownie, cookie, and 3 fountain cups. Apparently, you have to go find your own chips and the kids apple juice and chocolate milk I ordered were not available. So my kids ended up with fountain drinks. I then took the food out to the car and started distributing to our hungry family of 5. I handed my husband's sub to him and we found it was not on gluten free bread but regular. On top of paying $2 extra for the gf sub bun receiving anything else could make my husband sick and land him in the BR during our road trip. Not very desirable. I went inside AGAIN and told them it was not a gf bun. The manager apologized and said they would remake it. The kid who made the mistake said "oh, I forgot to put it on a gf bun." No apology. I told him that could make someone sick and he needed to pay attention to that. No response. After waiting 10 minutes I left with my husband's correct sub. We started driving down the road when I finally opened mine. Of course, mine was wrong as well. I paid extra for turkey, in addition to my ham, which was left off. There was no mayo and my sandwich was dry. My husband offered to turn around but I told him to keep driving. Horrible experience! I would not return. This seems really sad to me as this was our first time at firehouse and I was expecting more especially since husband is a firefighter/medic. First impressions are lasting.
Cracker Barrel never disappoints our family. My wife can not have gluten and they have a special menu for allergies - I love the biscuits and awesome service -

It's Starbucks, you know what you're going to get and it's going to be expensive. Since I'm gluten free, dairy free and soy free and I don't like coffee, I go in for the espresso shots when I'm on the road. The blond espresso was good, bathroom was clean. I think I can also eat the Kind bars, but they aren't my thing. Great place to stop in for some caffeine when you are on the road.
One of Staunton's best watering holes! The beer menu is must-read. I can only enjoy their fruit beers which are delicious and gluten free, but my husband says the rest of their selections are fantastic.
The staff is universally friendly, this is maybe Staunton's best kept secret.

We randomly happened upon this gem as we were passing through town. We were so pleased with the incredibly delicious food but the employees (guessing maybe owners) were so very sweet and even made my dish gluten free.
We were so pleased and wish we had another chance to enjoy another meal. We both ordered the chicken and shrimp and were thrilled with our choice. Also the sauce you top the dish with was incredible!
