Actually had the food from here as a takeaway, so unable to comment on the atmosphere and service of the restaurant. I can say it was a pleasure being able to order a takeaway freely without having to check if it’s coeliac safe. Entirely gluten free and excellent quality food! The sushi was phenomenal and some of the best I’ve ever had! The sushi bowl was also very flavoursome and fresh. Sadly I was a bit disappointed with the soba and felt it wasn’t as flavoursome - that being said I still enjoyed it. I’d definitely recommend and would love to go to sit down in their restaurant to try more!

I ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was absolutely delicious - by far the best pizza I've had in Melbourne!
The gluten-free base was a pleasant surprise. It didn't have that typical GF texture or taste that you might expect; it looked and tasted just like a regular base, and importantly, it didn't make me sick afterward.
The service was excellent and the ambience was great too. I came with a friend who ordered the vegan chicken BBQ pizza. He was initially worried about finishing it after having a late lunch, but he actually finished his pizza before I did and mentioned it was even better than non-vegan chicken BBQ pizzas he's had before.
Thank you, Red Sparrow, for providing amazing pizza options for everyone, especially vegans and those of us who need gluten-free options. Will definitely be coming back!

We randomly stumbled upon this restaurant while trying to find a spot for lunch. Boy were we glad we did because it was an incredible experience. The Dan Dan ramen was absolutely delicious, the sauce was a perfect blend of saltiness and spiciness with peanut flavour too. The Sichuan mala dumplings had an amazing mala sauce that was a very gentle numbing spice with a hint of sweet and tangy flavour too.
Our waiter was very friendly and even told us what would be the safest options for a coeliac, very rare for a Chinese restaurant, and my partner proceeded to have a gluten free fried rice that she very much enjoyed and they even provided us with gluten free soy sauce.
The owner was also super friendly and from Sichuan herself so you know the food is authentic in flavour. Even the staff shirts looked really cool and we couldn’t resist buying one. We will definitely come visit again next time we’re in Melbourne!
Enjoy a unique dining experience in an old tram with stunning views, quirky vibes, and a cool atmosphere that’s perfect for a fun outing.

Delicious food and great service! We shared the arancini, scallops, tuna tataki, duck and roast potatoes! All the dishes were amazing and beautifully presented. My friend had the fruit crumble and I enjoyed the lemon tart. The whole menu was gluten free I believe, great for coeliacs too! We will be back! :)

Really elegant food at reasonable prices. So nice that there are vegetarian and gluten free options for those want them. My favorite was the hummus plate with the authentic chargrilled pita. Delicious! The owner was so friendly. Totally vibed with the restaurant's look and feel. Definitely coming back.

I love coming here and always recommend it to friends!
The food is one of my favourites and the service is so nice and caring – the first time I came here was by myself late at night and they offered to charge my phone! 🥺💓
Came here recently with friends and they were very accomodating of dietary needs (although there is no gluten free food available they were really transparent about this and allowed my friend to bring in food from another establishment!)
Beautiful part of the collingwood community & plan to come back any time I'm in the area 😊
Tucked away at a cozy corner, this vibrant spot buzzes with groups enjoying shareable dishes and unique drinks in a lively atmosphere.

I loved this place but disappointed to find out that their gluten free items aren’t actually safe to eat as a celiac. Especially considering in the past I have eaten here and was
told it was safe to eat and a good majority of their items are listed as GF.
I went to dine in a few weeks ago with my partner and mentioned I was celiac and was told that I can’t eat anything because they fry everything in the same fryer. We pushed the waitress on this to further explain, I told her I wasn’t informed of this problem and she seemed just as confused as we were. My partner and I ended up having to eat elsewhere as ultimately anyone who is gluten free knows they can’t eat food fried in oil with gluten products.
There may be a miscommunication going on but yeah, disappointing as I really loved this beautiful restaurant. I still recommend to others to go, just not safe for those who are gluten free ♥️
Chill vibes and a cozy atmosphere make this spot perfect for a relaxed outing, with a solid menu and great drink selection.

I love the vibe of the place but even more, I truly appreciated the care taken to provide GLUTEN FREE modifications to the meal without any qualms
2nd Visit: as good as I remembered, I think the Steak Frites needs to be on the menu permanently (pretty please).
Unique vegan dining experience that surprises even the non-vegans, with thoughtful touches that make everyone feel well taken care of.

It's rare to find an affordable degusation experience, and Shu not only being vegan but also catering to my coeliac diet was something I only ever dream about...literally a giddyingly ecstatic dream. I felt very taken care of and am glad I emailed ahead to inquire. Every dish delivered the goods and the cocktails were terrific ❤️🔥
My boyfriend and I walked past this place by chance and were told about a great limited deal Sook are having where you spend $50 and receive a bottle of their house wine. We took a menu home with us and noticed all of the vegetarian and gluten free options they have - which having both recently switched over to a gluten free diet was perfect for us. We made a phone order for pickup and the food was ready in 15 minutes. The food was DELICIOUS. We ordered two soups, a stirfry and the green curry fried rice. The staff were just so lovely and we are excited to have a new restaurant that we will be ordering from regularly.
Gluten free buns are excellent and you know a place is good when the condiment range is expansive!! The burgers are always juicy and cooked perfectly and fries are always crispy and delicious! I keep coming back because they do a gf/df burger so well!
Enjoy a vibrant dining experience with a diverse set menu and standout dishes in a cozy, lively atmosphere that's perfect for celebrations.

The food and service were amazing - loved the snacks from the chef. The attention to gluten free requirements was also of the highest standard. Front of house attention was faultless. I love the intimate vibe of the Maha restaurant locations at North and East. Will eventually try the city location but I am a fan
Absolutely delicious and fresh food!
Being vegan and gluten free I accidentally ordered the wrong meal. The owner was so lovely to make me a plate according to my dietary requirements and said we could keep the other for one of our friends.
I was blown away by his genuine desire to make good food and make customers happy.
Best falafel!!!
Fantastic okonomiyaki. Tasty, labelled vegan and gluten free options. The food is authentic. Staff are very nice. The aesthetic of the cafe is beautiful and very Japanese. I wish I lived in Melbourne so I could come here regularly.

We dropped in to try the ramen and were not disappointed! There is gluten free noodles which is great for allergies. The lobster ramen was creamy and the spicy coriander was fiery and flavourful. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!
