Excellent place for people with celiac disease! Everything is gluten-free and delicious. We tried the pepperoni pizza, a baguette, a bacon braid, and a kind of vegan curry-filled bun. It's a small takeout place, although there are a couple of benches outside where you can eat. The guy is very friendly and speaks perfect English. 100% recommended, but we recommend getting there early because they're so fast.

Two years ago in March, I took my daughter, a second-year university student, for a stroll around Shibuya. We stopped in for lunch. ~We live in southern Kanagawa, and my daughter and I have bronchial allergies... We rarely have a chance to visit Shibuya, which is crowded with young people and foreigners... This was my daughter's third time in her life. I'm 60 years old, hmm, how many years has it been since I last visited?! (laughs) That's the Shibuya area. In front of Hachiko, which is in a different location from before. A long line of foreign tourists lined up. Redevelopment has seen new high-rise buildings rise in front of the station. Recalling the Shibuya I used to walk around when I was about the same age as my daughter (40 years ago💦). I tried to find traces of the past, but although the road structure is the same, the shops and buildings have changed a lot (sweat). Amidst all of that, the atmosphere around Spain Hill, where Bio Cafe is located, has not changed. Phew 😀 Parco, which is nearby (where I spent all of my part-time job pay of 10,000 yen that day, a bitter fate 😭), is also in the same place. Now, the rooftop garden is a secret spot for the night view 🥰 Maybe Biidoro, which is next to Bio Cafe, has been there since back then? I feel like I met up with a friend there to discuss a trip to Bali... 🤔 Memories of such distant youth are scattered like a mosaic in the streets of Shibuya. Hoping to reduce my daughter's allergies, I chose this gluten-free restaurant for lunch. Even though it was vegan food, it was well thought out and delicious👍 The lunch course was 1,880 yen, including salad bar and detox water. We ordered brown rice, fried chicken set, and vegan Mont Blanc. The fact that it was vegan didn't bother us at all, it was just a normal, delicious restaurant✌️ The service and the atmosphere were really not bad. I was a little concerned about the hygiene of the salad bar, so I took one star off. Unlike salad bars in regular restaurants or hotels, there were a lot of spilled food scattered around, perhaps because there were a lot of young customers. It was a little less clean? Tongs were shared, and overall, the area around the salad bar felt a bit messy. (Maybe it depends on the day.) Other than that, the food was delicious, and the location was easy to find and convenient. It's a good restaurant that's healthy but filling. Personally, I was happy that it's located on the nostalgic Spain Hill, right next to Parco, as it reminded me of a lot of the past 😘 On the way home, I told my daughter for the first time about my memories of Shibuya from my time as a university student and employee, as we headed from Koen-dori to the station. ~I would recommend this place for a day of strolling around Shibuya, whether it's for parents and children, friends, couples, or colleagues.

I was recommended to go here but was underwhelmed. I arrived at 9pm after a walking tour and was hurried even though I’m only one person so would eat quickly anyway and the hours showed it was open till 10. It’s just a basic cafe so not that relaxing or inviting. I had the cheese curry as not a lot was actually showing as gf on the menu. It was tasty but it was just curry sauce and rice. Rice is something we have to have when there’s nothing else in Asia so would have ideally avoided a rice dish. Wouldn’t really recommend unless you’re desperate. Seems like there are plenty better places

I enjoyed my green salad very much. The balance of all the green veggies, with the smallest pop of a red lettuce in it was excellent. The dressing was a outstanding pesto, which I almost wished for more of, however I was so glad to be able to taste and appreciate each of my vegetables individually, again harmony. The tiramisu was vegan and gf, as were all the desserts. This dessert was great as a df gf customer. What we would have liked more of, a few more gluten free options on the savory menu. The green salad was the solitary option. No soup or warm food was gluten free on the entire menu. Many vegan people would like this choice. I am celiac, and found your restaurant on Atly, a gluten free restaurant App. It would only enhance the menu to have 1 soup and 1 warm meal. This would raise the stars to 5 stars!🌟

Really loved this place! I’m a very sensitive coeliac but despite the small risk of cross contamination I was totally fine and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I even ordered a dessert crepe afterwards seeing as the ice cream was gf too! Service was quick and the staff were lovely - I was informed that they had cleaned the plate they cook the crepes on but that they couldn’t guarantee it was safe - which was nice to see they understand the severity of coeliac and still try to accomodate! Safe to say it was well worth the slight risk

I would absolutely recommend this to other people who are gluten free / celiac. As a celiac I have eaten here twice and they are very helpful when making food that is gluten free. They have an allergy list on their menu which allows you to see all the dishes that are wheat free. Noting they do mention gluten as it is not a formal allergy in Japan. They do offer gluten free bread though! Additionally, they were able to provide meal substitutes - removing a certain sauce - to make it wheat / gluten free. However, do not worry as I have eaten here twice - October 2024 and April 2025 - and as a symptomatic celiac I have had no reaction to it. If you are vegetarian / vegan this may be quite hard to have a full meal here as most dishes involve meat of some sort.

I've been here for lunch several times. I really liked the sea urchin pasta here, which was also made into gluten-free noodles, but to be honest, it was bad this time. There were fewer sea urchins, and I felt that the amount was small. The female staff member also kept asking, "Would you like some water?" and interrupted the conversation. The dishes were cleaned up as soon as I finished eating, and it wasn't busy, so I stayed for about 40 minutes before heading home. Honestly, including the drinks, the lunch costs over 2,000 yen, and it's far from the station, so I don't think I'll go there again.

This is the best Kura Sushi I have been to in Japan as it is the most modern and clean. I recommend ordering sushi from the menu as it is fresher than on the conveyer belt. There is a great outdoor area at the back that has a fabulous view of Harajuku. Really good prices. I advise coming earlier that your traditional lunch and dinner times to avoid the wait. Good gluten free options as I just opted for no soy sauce with my sushi and made my choices with the assumption of no gluten (for example sushi with just rice and raw fish).

Gluten-free ramen (lol) I changed the noodles to konnyaku noodles. I had a delicious Afri for the first time in about 10 years. After all, wheat noodles are good, but I have no choice but to use konnyaku (bitter smile) However, I think it's a compromise if it's gluten-free ramen (lol) Thank you for being late. I made a reservation for afternoon tea. The interior and atmosphere of the store was very cute. However, the attitude of the staff was so inappropriate that I couldn't believe they were in the customer service industry, which is a shame. I was given a seat in a semi-private room in the back, but even though there were 4 or 5 staff members, they were all stuck at the counter and didn't notice that I wanted to order. I was worried because there was no reaction even though he was clearly looking at me. When he brought me the afternoon tea set, he forced me to put it on top of the cutlery and almost knocked it over. Almost all gluten-free sweets made with rice flour and other ingredients are not tasty and hard. It's really just a look. I thought it was something like this because it was cheap. Are you in a bad mood because the staff at the store don't smile all the time and keep busying you? ? That's what it felt like. I wonder if there will be a second time.
