We passed by and decided to make a reservation for lunch, asking beforehand if they had gluten-free bread because I have celiac disease. They answered me affirmatively. At the agreed time we arrived. My husband ordered the menu of the day and I had a grilled sea bream, reminding the waiter of the gluten-free bread. My surprise was enormous when he told me that they don't have any. I asked the lady at the counter about the bread and she told me that they don't have it but that the gilthead sea bream is gluten-free. My intention was to get up and leave. The waiter apologized and I stayed out of politeness. The gilthead sea bream was grilled, not grilled, quite dry and without removing the innards. As a garnish, some lettuce leaves, 2 pieces of tomato and some carrot strips. When paying the prices were a la carte and not cheap. The menu of the day did not exist. I feel deceived. They have to learn from long-established restaurants that know how to treat customers and not deceive them. I was badly fed and treated like a fool. I do not recommend it.

Very good experience. Thank goodness we booked on Sunday, because at noon it was full. I asked for the grilled secret and they brought it to me quite burnt. Upon seeing it, they offered to make me another one. Those details make the difference. Gluten-free (toasted) bread. Weekend menu €25: three common starters, first, second and dessert to choose from + coffee and a drink. Very good option in a beautiful town. Some desserts were out of stock, but the ones we ordered were homemade and very good.

The food is delicious, they have few vegetable options but it's not bad to get by. The bravas are exquisite! Something super important is that they have gluten-free bread. Good price, ideal for going in a group. On weekends and designated days there is a huge queue, and they don't make reservations, you eat the queue no matter what. At night it gets very cold, and there is no interior area as such, everything is open.

I was terribly disappointed in Peñíscola on a gastronomic level, practically all the places are tourist traps with extremely mediocre food at exorbitant prices. Until we meet the GGanbu. We went to dinner making a reservation by phone. We ordered 2 types of croquettes: the one with blue cheese and walnuts (€2), which is gluten-free, and the cuttlefish one (€2.60), very creamy. We also tried the broken eggs with boletus and foie (€16), a generous portion with little salt. The oxtail cannelloni with parmesan and tartufo was the best (€19), and we also shared picaña (€24), a little tough. We were very well attended and in the heart of Benicassim the atmosphere was amazing.
