We stopped by Sushi Toni completely on a whim and were totally blown away by our experience. We had a number of allergies in our party including wheat and shellfish - not the easiest allergies to work around at a sushi place! - but we were not only able to order around it but our server understood and provided Tamari sauce without being asked (Soy sauce is typically brewed with gluten). We had several unique rolls we've never seen elsewhere (HIGHLY recommend the swamp roll) and we had a great chat with the chef - a very interesting individual with a lot of fun stories! After our meal he made us a free dessert - which was amazing, green tea ice cream with pineapple tempura (our gluten allergy party member ate around the tempura). Wonderful little spot that's earned a place in our "must visit when in town" list!
Charming spot known for its welcoming vibe, perfect for families with recommendations for local adventures and personalized service.

Really great service and food! We are a big family of tourists and they were very patient and kind with us. They even recommended us places to visit! We also have a gluten intolerant kid and they were happy to do the avocado toast with the gluten free bread that we brought!
Excellent quality food and great service. The atmosphere is bright and fresh, albeit a bit loud. A little pricey but worth it. Several gluten free options as well.

This is a great restaurant for a nice night out - perfect if you are attending theater at S.F. Playhouse (just next door), or the Toni Rembe theater (ACT’s home stage, formerly the Geary) or the Curran, both a block or two away on Geary. The food is delicious Mediterranean — I recommend the Branzino or Salmon — it’s well-marked for gluten free or vegetarian, and the staff is warm and friendly. The vibes are fantastic. This restaurant took over Farallon’s old space, and features all the beautiful sea decor, including lamps like swimming jellyfish and the mosaic tiles of an old public pool decorated with sea gods and goddesses. A must-do in Union Square!

Enjoyable afternoon tea for 3. I had a gluten free afternoon tea, the other two had the “regular” offering. The other two said their afternoon was very tasty.
My gluten free afternoon tea was good, I appreciated they were able to substitute GF options for almost everything. It was a very enjoyable gluten free afternoon tea. The bread used for mine wasn’t “special” I would guess it was generally available GF bread that they bought and used. As a result all the GF sandwiches were on the same bread, as opposed to the others who had 3x bread types used for their sandwiches. To echo what I mentioned above though, it was nice that they have GF options at all.
Experience a cozy vibe with street views, where the focus is on exceptional flavors and a warm atmosphere that makes for a memorable time.

Incredibile meal. The service was lovely, in a sweet cozy environment looking out over the street. But even with these points, the food was the star. The leeks and the beef bourguignon were out of this world. I advised the server that I couldn’t eat gluten and she took great care of me. Highly recommend!
