The food is so good!! I went with a friend and we got the peanut stew, bean stew and rice, akasa, and the fufu. It was my first time having fufu I loved it!! Tastes similar to mashed potatoes, next time I go I’ll get that with the peanut stew, they went together so well. My friend is vegan and gluten free and hates having to be the picky one asking questions, but the server was super polite and answered all the questions we had about the ingredients. They have enough vegan and gluten free options to satisfy that crowd, even though they don’t advertise it. My only suggestion would be to add vegan/gluten free symbols to the menu so people don’t have to ask, or worse, not order y’all’s delicious food bc they aren’t sure and don’t want to ask! Already craving another peanut stew and fufu!!! Thank you!!

Everything was perfect. I got the gemelli pasta and my husband got their gluten-free pizza. Both were spectacular! It’s so rare to find a place with a gluten-free pizza crust that’s actually amazing so we are so happy to have found this spot.

Do yourself a favor and experience one of the best Latin food restaurants I’ve been to. It’s truly authentic Cuban. Yes it’s in Detroit. Don’t let that dissuade you. They are great for gluten free options as well.

This established brunch place was unusually not busy early one winter weekend at the original downtown Detroit location. My vegetarian omelet was a decent but my friend raved about her gluten free eggs benedict. Service was good and fast. It was quite a bit busier when we left. I was lucky enough to find a street space but there are plenty of lots and garages within 5 minutes walking

Came in to order takeout for lunch yesterday— Molly killed it! She had to balance the floor (which had a 40+ party in one room alone), the bar, AND takeout. Food was well worth the wait; as a plus, the gluten-free substitutes were high quality.

Chartreuse was an excellent dining experience. I ate with a large work group, and everything was spectacular. From the entrees to the salads and desserts, everything was delicious with unique options and good flavors. It was also able to accommodate celiac gluten free and vegan options for our groups. I highly recommend their Mocktails and homemade cola.

Came here with a friend on Saturday. I had one mocktail called a ‘Spa Water’ and one cocktail called ‘Buddy Buddy.’ Both were excellent. A friend and I shared brussel sprouts and a half chicken. Food was good. The flavors were subtle, but the food was well-made. They were patient with me and accommodated my gluten allergy. We were served at the bar and the bartender gave great service. Will likely come back 😁

The staff is amazing, the bar is good. The food selection includes gluten free and is well rounded. However, the food can be hit or miss depending on who is working the kitchen. Tonight was a miss. Other nights are great!

This place offers gluten free options that are not gluten free :) I have celiac disease and had told the cashier that. He told me he didn’t know what that was (concerning, but can understand not everyone knows), so i explained. He said it shouldn’t be a problem and that he would tell the cooks in the back. After eating all my food i immediately felt sick and threw up everything i had eaten.

Gluten Free & Handicap Accessible Review: I've been to Leila multiple times & have always been very satisfied. Food: The food quality and preparation is exceptional. The menu is marked with gluten free indicators, making it easy for myself (and the kitchen) to order. I have not ordered one item I haven't been happy with- definitely recommend sampling multiple dishes off the mezze menu. Service: The service has been consistently good during my multiple visits. This last visit, I ate with a friend who utilizes a wheelchair for their mobility. I notified the restaurant when booking my reservation that we would need a handicap accessible table. Upon being taken to our table close to the doors, we noticed they already had the fourth chair of our table removed to make room for the wheelchair. We eat out all over metro Detroit and this is the first time the table has been properly prepared with the chair removed to make room for the wheelchair. Huge thank you to the team there for thinking ahead & making the seating experience seamless just by providing one simple accommodation. It may have seemed liked a small measure to the staff, but it was huge to our group. We will definitely be back!

Atmosphere was amazing, such a cool place. Unfortunately my filet was WAY overcooked, shells in the lobster bisque, and cocktails were all sickly sweet. Still a good experience but for such an amazing location I would hope for a better dining experience. Also some confusion about gluten free options which left me nervous as someone with Celiac but luckily I ate the filet, bisque, and Panna Cotta and was fine after.

Love the Lager House, Sam is an awesome bartender and the food selection is uniquely extensive for the area. I highly recommend the crispy tofu! They also have gluten free and vegan options

Their menu highlights fresh & in season items that are locally sourced (huge win in my book), and they have something for all of my friends with various dietary considerations. Gluten free? Lactose intolerant? Vegan? Halal? They'll feed you something awesome. I have brought friends here again and again simply because 1) I know they're not going to get this same experience anywhere else 2) I know they'll love the food 3) it gives me an excuse to come back The chef & staff really makes you feel like you're at their home and you're an esteemed guest! Learn about Moroccan tea service with a tall pour, try a fun new seasonal drink or a non-alcoholic wine, or attend one of the many celebratory nights hosted at Saffron. As a long time guest, I will continue to frequent this place for the incredible flavors & the welcoming service. Sicily’s Pizzeria & Subs exudes a charming, nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of classic pizzerias. As my Uber driver noted, “That place has been here forever. I remember coming here as a kid. Great pizza!” His sentiment held true. While it may not be the absolute best pizza I’ve ever had, I genuinely enjoyed it. I opted for the Meat Lovers pizza on a gluten-free crust, and it was both satisfying and flavorful. The establishment operates on a self-service model: orders are placed at the counter, and food is delivered to your table when ready. This setup complements the relaxed and inviting atmosphere. This experience was awesome! We made it to the restaurant just before the kitchen closed. We were on a deadline ourselves because our daughter has Type 1 diabetes and a gluten allergy, which makes dining out very complicated. Our server, Brandon, was on top of it. He was able to get out food order in before the cutoff time, with crazy dietary restrictions to contend with. Did I mention that it was also my daughter's birthday? He made sure my daughter got her birthday (gluten free) desert, and he even sang happy birthday to her. It was the perfect ending to such a special day for a special little girl! Added bonuses... live music, a birthday dance, GREAT food, and the most beautiful views of the Detroit River and Windsor, Ontario!

This was our first time here and Wow! It truly is the best pizza in town! We ordered the Shields Super Pizza. The crust was amazing (crunchy with great tase), the cheese was perfect! Thank you! I then found out that they have Gluten-Free crusts & Vegan cheese! That's Awesomely Rare! We'll definitely be back!

SheWolf is an amazing experience from start to finish. Service 5/5 - The staff promptly greeted us at the door, we were a bit early so they asked if we would like a drink while we waited. They have a nice standing area to put your jackets and a place to put your drinks while you wait. After a few minutes we had drinks in hand and enjoying the night. Once we were sat (at the bar) the bar tender explained the menu extensively to my fiancé who is gluten free, and my god did they have a lot of options! You could tell every staff member was well versed in the offerings and their passion was seen throughout the entire experience. Drinks 4/5 - Overall we loved our drinks, I had a few off menu cocktails and my fiancé had champagne and wine, I feel like SheWolf isnt fully utilizing their skilled bartenders with a very small cocktail menu. I think they could push a little here and it would make it 5/5. Food 5/5 - Literally every dish was just the right portion, and seasoned to perfection. We were able to share an app, both had Pasta, and Fiancé was amazed how good their gluten free pasta was. Dessert was also amazing. What we loved is we felt great after having all these dishes. Could I of eaten more? Yes! But I prefer exactly how they do it because now I just want to go back :D ! Overall, the vibe of the restaurant is great, you can feel the passion with the staff members, and an excellent date night. Easy on-site parking, and close enough to downtown you could drive a few minutes to have a night out after an amazing dinner. We WILL be back!

My wife and I have been here several times and it never disappoints! The Chopped Salad and Roasted Chicken are amazing and having gluten free options is a must for us! Ynocencio served us drinks this last time. His drinks, presentation, and humor were all on point! We can’t wait to go back!

Very safe for celiacs needing to eat gluten free. Great food we will be back. A mix of Cuban/Latin American. If you go before a 7pm Redwings game, go at 5pm to get a seat. We loved the chicken and beef Fritas. GF eater had chicken verde bowl. Next time, we’ll order the mayo on the side for the sandwiches, they add a lot and it gets messy. Also, we loved the plantains, but not the loaded ones, because the beans are really spicy. Large groups consider getting the bucket of beers or the fishbowl cocktails because it packs up before games or events and it is hard to get the second drink.

i have celiacs and they had some gluten free options and the waitress seemed knowledgeable. they don’t have a dedicated fryer but they have bread and pasta that’s gluten free. I got the mac and cheese and it was delicious!

The food was absolutely excellent. The service was absolutely excellent. The view was absolutely excellent. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars in every single category is that I did mention I have a gluten allergy, and there was one small gluten item that was missed in the dessert that I ordered. Otherwise, the staff was very proactive and swapped out gluten-free options without my direction throughout the meal. And once again, all the food was wonderful.

This is a main stay for my husband and I! Michael Ransom and his team continually deliver amazing hospitality and INCREDIBLE food. The staff is always so attentive-whether it's the hostess, bartenders or servers. The staff is a HUGE part of why we come back on an almost weekly basis. This is the go to spot when we have guests in town as the menu has something for everyone-meat eaters, vegans, and gluten free dinners alike. The drink menu is always on point with a great selection of sake, beers, wine, and cocktails. And the weekly happy hour is one of the best in the city. $5 pints of Sapporo and carafes of sake, and awesome shareable for only $5 a pop. If you're looking for a warm, unpretentious dining environment that always has great music playing, lovely hospitality and a menu that will satisfy any appetite, this is your spot!

Okay, Food 10/10. I'm so impressed. Everything was a hit. Not one single complaint about the food. The mediterranean salad was so fresh and crisp. All pastas were delicious, specifically the baked lasagna. Frito (calamari) is gluten free which was a huge plus. SO flavorful and well prepared. Service was excellent from start to finish. Our servers were attentive and took very good care of us. They had great recommendations and made sure we had clean silverware and plates in between every dish which I personally loved. Restaurant overall is a vibe, great music and a lovely spot to go out. Definitely a GREAT addition to Detroit. Good job Adelina

Besa is quickly becoming my favorite spot in Detroit. Our server last night went above and beyond to go over the menu, provide great service, and help my friend navigate gluten free options. He had great recommendations and helped to course out our orders. My wine-knowing friend loved the wine selection. The food is incredible—at my table of 6, we covered quite a bit of the menu, and everyone was satisfied. A few of us started with the Village Salad, at our server’s suggestion, and it was unbelievably good. How could a cucumber-based salad be that good? Just the best. I appreciated that the host sat us downstairs, as it was predominantly a work get-together, so it was easy to talk and discuss in the quiet environment. I really cannot recommend Besa enough and will be back the next chance I get. 10/10

I ordered on doordash an half my order was completely messed up, I asked for garlic and pepperoni on a Detroit zoo pizza an got just a straight zoo pizza no garlic or pepperoni even though it was clearly on the list, further, there was, specifically, a gluten free pizza (which was clearly on the oder, GLUTEN FREE) cheese an mushroom pizza. We got a pizza that was , not gluten free, with a bunch of toppings, we didn't order, when I called about this, the lady was extremely unhelpful, an further lied to me, saying that the pepperoni was under the cheese. Which, it was not. Thanks buddies won't be ordering from u again!
