Looking for a get away on Christmas Day we decided to try the Apple Farm. We have stopped by the restaurant numerous times and enjoyed our time. Luckily we were able to get a room for 2 nights! We had an amazing experience from check in to check out. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. You can tell they love their jobs! At check in we were greeted by beautiful Christmas decorations, Chardonnay, hot Apple cider and chocolate chip cookies. Our room was huge! A fireplace and a nice sitting area. The decor gave a warm homey feeling. The unique design gave each room a bay window and we found them to be very quiet. We even found sparkling apple cider, chocolate and an Apple memento to take. We had a tasty Christmas dinner at the restaurant, enjoyed complimentary wine tasting and holiday decor shopping at 50% off. As someone who is gluten sensitive I enjoy the wheat free deserts at the bakery. We will definitely be back! Thank you Apple farm for making our Christmas special!

The salsa was just pico which like is not salsa. They did have a gluten free lime pie that was delicious. It was super busy and so we never got any refills. And had to wait over a half hour without any food even the chips and salsa . But the food was delicious. It was 52 bucks before tip for two fountain sodas 4 Street tacos chips salsa and guacamole and a slice of key lime pie

We had dinner at the restaurant. Lots of gluten free options. I had the beef ribs on mashed potatoes. They were fantastic, so soft and succulent. No reaction. Free parking in the lot behind the hotel and on the street. Only complaint was the 35 minutes from ordering to service.

Very Gluten Free friendly. All the chef’s specials were gluten free. The gluten free rosemary focaccia bread was excellent. Check out the picture. Didn’t take pictures of the salad and mushroom soup. Both were delicious. The trout was good. Drinks were great.

Situated on a charming corner in a sweet, walkable, village-like town, you will find the gem that is Single Thread. I joined my brother for my birthday dinner here in late October, and despite mild initial concerns regarding service from reading a few reviews, I’m happy to report that the entire dining experience was ✨flawless✨ From the moment we approached the building, the warm welcome in the lobby, to the stunning presentation of the dishes (the first of which was waiting for us upon arrival, and nearly brought me to tears), everything was exceptional. The staff was attentive and funny—but not overbearing, the design and finishes were artistic and upscale, and the attention to my severe gluten allergy was impeccable and without compromise. Having dined at other Michelin-starred restaurants and been impressed, I can say this experience was on another level. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity. Already planning to return during future seasons to experience the farm’s evolving menu and bring friends who will appreciate the care and creativity poured into Single Thread.

Fabulous! Beautiful hotel with very helpful team and lovely food in the evenings we were there. Felt like a real American hotel, with added bonus of a choice of gluten free food on the nights the bar/restaurant was open. It was just over an hour to Yosemite valley so for us it was perfect location.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. It’s the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in in the area, and I’ve stayed in a couple of places in Eureka. I stayed up in their cottage, which has a fantastic view of the river looking inland. You can hear the waves breaking at the mouth of the Klamath River. It is dark and quiet at night. It’s very private. The cottage was comfortable and well furnished. The cottage has a full kitchen, including a gas, stove and oven, as well as a full-size refrigerator and microwave. There are basic dishes, including pots and pans. There’s also a coffee maker. There’s also a little toaster oven. It was really nice to have a kitchen as someone with celiac. The stairs to the bedroom are bit steep but have good handrails. The shower was nice and there was no big step to get into it. There is a TV and the Internet works well enough to stream sometimes, but not always. There are two loveseat sized couches, and a kitchen table with extra chairs. There’s beautiful redwood furniture in the place. The space heaters worked very well to keep it warm, although I always kept a window open so that I could hear the ocean better. It was a quick drive to Prairie Creek, and a easy drive to Howland Hill as well. There’s a gas station in Klamath, so this is really well located the owner at the hotel was super friendly. There are lots of hotel guests hanging out at the hotel in the evenings, and you can go down and join them. The place was fairly low fragrance (no dryer sheets, although there were some strong smells in the linens). The towels were clean and plentiful, with minimal scent for those who are sensitive. It’s no pets, which I really appreciated as someone with bad allergies. I saw a few ants, which is to be expected after it rains. The owner was responsive about that. In the mornings, you can look out through the skylights and see fog on the river. This is a one of a kind place.

Stopped here on our drive from San Francisco to Monterey. Took 1.5 hours and set our road-trip back. Chose the restaurant due to gluten-free options. Burger came out on a normal bun. Didn’t want to wait for the kitchen to remake it so literally ate gluten. Their roof blew off so now the toilet is broken? A whole restaurant sharing one toilet. Have disgusting port-a-pots in the parking lot. Update: I didn’t eat the bun, but I’m a celiac and gluten contaminates everything it touches which was the whole burger. You shouldn’t advertise being gluten friendly and then shame people. I’ve never seen a business respond so unprofessionally to a review before. Don’t tell me my experience didn’t happen. That’s ridiculous.

The View Restaurant. I’ve been here many times. Lovely views. Good food. The website needs updating, they haven’t had the Sunday brunch buffet in 2 years. (Reservations are confusing because the online site will accept a reservation but then tell you it doesn’t count and you have to call but then no one will call you back.) Our server seemed stretched a little thin most recent visit and for the first time I had food allergy incident. It was an honest mistake and the manager came to notify us as soon as he realized their kitchen staff had made a mistake - which was right after I started realizing what was happening also so I appreciated the notification so I could get to my meds ASAP. It was a lovely morning prior to the exposure though. Celiacs be aware and maybe triple check your dish.

Brought BFF Mom in from out of town for dinner and the experience was quality. I am the guy who is always ordering different than what's on the menu. Vegan gluten free I ordered the risotto with the Parm fritters on the side because other ppl can still enjoy them. T'was tasty just not the best, more fresh components would be ideal and or gluten free garlic bread because you know we come in to eat too. Coco Loco for a beverage was refreshing. The negroni my friend had was very smoky and very Compari, lemon twist instead of an orange twist. Thanks Holbrook Hotel!

Unsurpassed!! I prefer B&B's over hotels whenever possible and as such, have stayed in MANY from CA to Martha's Vineyard to S. Carolina. This place tops them all. I have NEVER stayed at a B&B that not only serves the most delicious 3-course breakfast, but accommodates any dietary restrictions (I'm gluten free). They also provide you with a luxurious warm robe to relax in before slipping into the softest sheets ever!! (Seriously, I had to ask where they got their sheets from!) The owners Kris & David were attentive to our every need and my husband and I will DEFINITELY be returning.

So much fun! We stayed for 2 nights. The indoor water park has a very very overpowering smell of humid chlorine. Takes a few minutes to get used to. But for me, I began coughing and my eyes were burning. I understand that chemicals are needed because there are just so so many people! Most of the workers were amazing and friendly super friendly. Our rooms were pretty clean but the couch and carpet both had food stains. Since it’s a kid friendly place, the stains aren’t surprising, just a little bothersome. Our view was a parking lot and a freeway. Which was a little disappointing because when we booked our rooms, I read that the rooms had balcony’s and views. The restaurant inside, was very nice and the food was delicious! I, personally have celiac disease. Eating out is very hard for me, but I was very pleasantly surprised that they had GF gluten free options. And my bowl with shrimp was fantastic! Either something was contaminated with gluten or I got food poisoning. MAN THAT WAS A HARD NIGHT 😭 Luckily I was feeling ok the next day. Dunkin’ Donuts on site. Although it’s not the “real” Dunkin’ Donuts. The kids still enjoyed it. Husband said the donuts tasted really bad. My most favorite thing was the two tier climbing obstacle course. So fun! Indoor mini bowling was fun but glitchy. Computer system was down when we wanted to do mining. One of my sons got a wand from the magi quest store. It’s cool because it lights up and there are interactive things all around to point at. But it was disappointing when they would mostly all repeat the same things over and over. So to me, it didn’t feel special or exciting. I liked the lazy River. My kids loved the wave pool. Overall a very successful trip for our family of 6.

We recently stayed in the Veneto Room for 3 nights and absolutely loved the Inn and the town of Ferndale. Both the manager and the chef were wonderful to interact with. The food was great and the chef was very accommodating to my gluten free needs. We enjoyed the afternoon tea/wine and lovely appetizers from 4-6 pm. The room was quite spacious and the common areas were lovely. This home has been lovingly restored and is beautiful inside and out and a block from the main street. We highly recommend it.

Such a cute fun spot. We rented the captains quarters and it was well worth it. Gorgeous room and bathroom. Everything was super clean and inviting. There was a little noise from the bar downstairs but it was done by 10pm and if there was any trouble they even left us ear plugs so we could get a good nights rest. The bed and pillows were clean and comfy. Would definitely stay here again. Also the food downstairs was pretty good. They have a few gluten-free and vegetarian options too.

Customer service is outstanding! The manager, Mr. Burt Valencia, is so friendly and generous. We were worried that our tent cabin had a leak in the roof (turned out to just be condensation) and he offered to upgrade us to a room at the lodge at no additional charge. We declined his generous offer but were very grateful nonetheless. He then offered to bring us hot chocolate to our cabin! The restaurant here is also delicious. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. Order the almond crusted trout for dinner, you won't be disappointed. I would highly the John Muir Lodge if you are looking for somewhere peaceful and convenient to stay. There is a grocery market, post office, visitor center, gift shop, and restaurant.

A motel not far from Sequoia National Park. We stopped there for one night. The welcome is very warm and everyone has a smile. The restaurant room is very typical, but the fans running at full blast make a lot of noise and don't do much. I had a meat patty, for a first time I found it really good. My partner had gluten-free pasta which is extremely rare. So top notch cooking. As for the room, it's not great, but it's clean and has charm. Afterwards the bathroom is not suitable for adults. In any case, it was a step that I really appreciated.
