We came across this restaurant by chance.
What was our surprise when we discovered this incredible and charming place.
First of all, the food is of impeccable quality! It is rare to find such a large choice of gluten-free dishes 🍕 🍝.
From starter to dessert, there is something for everyone.
Then, the staff is remarkably kind and attentive. Special mention to Enrique with whom we had the opportunity to speak and who was very attentive.
Finally, what can we say about chef Sergio! A unique person, he speaks many languages and exudes passion.
We enjoyed talking with him on our last evening. 😊
To summarize, you can go to this restaurant with your eyes closed, you will not be disappointed. Good time guaranteed!

Great little spot, very helpful waiter. They assured us that there was a seperate prep area, oven and ingredients. My coeliac daughter said it was delicious 😁

Gluten-free pizzas, gluten-free pasta—simply a dream for people with celiac disease. We were lucky to get a seat without a reservation. The food was delicious!

I'm celiac and came here after reading the rave gluten free reviews. I ordered a gluten free pizza for takeaway. I confirmed when I was paying that the pizza was indeed gluten free - was told yes!
I ate one piece once I got home, and felt extremely hesitant that this was really gluten free so I waited to see if I would be okay. After about an hour, I was profusely throwing up the entire contents of my stomach.
Either this pizza was NOT gluten free, or it was - but gave me food poisoning.
I almost never leave bad reviews - but this experience was awful.

Based on reviews, we were looking for a restaurant for celiacs. If you are going to visit the Oceanografic, this is the place to have lunch. It's in a square at the back, not the big pizzeria there. The terrace is covered and spacious. A fabulous 7 cheese pizza. Very friendly staff. They have the APC (Portuguese Association of Celiacs) sticker. After each service they clean the tables with spray. They are very careful. Despite also serving normal pizza, zero cross contamination.
They also have a restaurant in Coimbra.
With a cool split layout for dining styles and unique decor creating a vibrant atmosphere, this spot offers a range of tasty pizzas to enjoy.

We didn't like the pizzas at all.
My girlfriend had the gluten-free version, I had the normal one.
Tomato sauce was bland, dough tasted like nothing and had a rather rubbery texture.
Service wasn't particularly friendly either. It's a shame actually

Nice location of the restaurant next to the market in Olhão, nice staff (most of them do not speak English, but the menu is available in several languages and online). The heavy traffic of cars on the street was a bit disturbing when choosing a place in the garden outside. Food good, gluten free pizza correct. Nice time at lunch. A big plus for a conscious gluten-free option.

We had a delicious meal at Portaliano. The restaurant is able to adapt a number of dishes to fit a gluten-free dish. The menu is surprising and diverse and the dishes look good. As a starter we had the focaccia and grilled mushrooms with asparagus. Our main course consisted of risotto with duck and cod with potatoes. The only criticism was that the cod was probably overcooked, making it very tough.
This cozy hidden gem offers huge portions and a great atmosphere, making the wait totally worth it for a memorable dining experience.

They had 3 gluten free pasta choices (penne, spaghetti and fusilli) combined with any of the sauces. We had bolognese and boar ragu. Delicious!! Olives and cheese were amazing too. Real Italian.
My only frustration was that we told them we were gluten free and they brought us bread with the olives and cheese appetizer. We asked three times if it was gluten free and were reassured it was. The third time the server said no it wasn’t. My husband had already eaten some of it. I’d be very cautious if you are celiac.
Charming and tucked away, this spot offers authentic Italian vibes with pasta served straight from the pan, ensuring a delightful experience.

Honestly couldn’t understand how this place has such great reviews.
We came in at 9pm, and were told the kitchen closes at 9:30pm. We said that’s easy and that we’re just after 2 serves of gluten free pasta. We were ready to order at 9:05pm with closed menus . They took our order at 9:11. We ordered gf pesto burrata and gf frutti de mare and 2 glasses of white wine. We asked what the gf pasta was and they said linguine. Perfect.
They said gluten free takes 20 mins.
That’s okay with us.
The wine was horrible.
My partner ordered a glass of red which was equally as bad.
The food came out at 9:35.
The pasta was penne not linguine.
The burrata pesto pasta was luke warm at best.
The seafood was grittier that straight up sand.
At 9:50 they told the table next to us that they’re closing in 5 minutes. To hurry them up as they still had lots of food. Probably cause it was hard to eat.
We walked away paying full price at this point with most of our food and wine in the table. Not a pleasant experience. Walked to another smaller authentic Italian pasta place with 12 seats. There we received the 5 star food and service we were after. There’s better places in Cascais. Maybe we got them at the end of a bad night but that was our experience.
The lively atmosphere and beautiful patio vibe here complement a menu of delicious options, making it a must-visit spot!

We visit Alvor every year and we always eat here at least once. Unfortunately they don't have the vegan options marked on the menu, but the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. They now offer vegan cheese for pizzas or you can have without cheese. Their pasta is fresh so contains egg but they do have a gluten free pasta available which is vegan. I had the vegan pasta with the tomato and vegetables to take away which is nice. When we ate in I had a make your own pizza with vegan cheese which was so good, not too much vegan cheese used so it didn't get oily and soggy like some pizzas do. We ate with a toddler and they provided a kids pizza too. Its a very small restaurant so they don't have a highchair but a booster seat for small children. Highly recommended a family favourite.

Our experience here was amazing, i believe all the pizza can be done gluten free. They also have a seperate oven to cook the pizza in as well. The pizza base was one of the BEST GF bases I have had, was absolutely delicious. I got the Garlic Lover Pizza, 100% recommend

The gluten free fresh homemade pasta was amazing. They assured me they followed all precautions to avoid cross contamination. My husband had a Vienna pizza which he said was good. This is a great place for families. The kids can run around on the patio when they’re finished eating while the parents linger and visit at the table. The owner was so kind. I saw him giving all the kids little lollipops when they finished eating. It was a very nice experience.
Charming spot with a lovely interior and standout pasta, though expect some dishes to be a bit hit or miss.

A place I will definitely return to. Coming for a birthday dinner, my choice was for this restaurant given these superb reviews! And I was not disappointed. You will be welcomed in this small restaurant with typical Italian food with service worthy of a starred restaurant. Remember to book because their reputation is well established and therefore it is complicated to be able to sit down without prior reservation. And I had the joy of discovering that they had gluten-free options (and they are the best I have eaten!), they also have plenty of lactose-free options for our intolerant friends. Carbonara like in Italy, a pistachio tiramisu to hell, quality service and a lovely team! Thanks again to them for this welcome and this service which allowed us to end our trip to Portugal on a delicious note!
Chill vibes and stunning views make this spot a must-visit, plus they serve up delicious homemade pizza with a unique twist!

They have gluten-free pizzas! It would be nice if they advertised them more! We found out by chance, so we stopped by and asked. The menu outside didn't mention it, but they later gave us one that did (+3€ extra). The pizza was a bit pricey, but it's always good to have options.
