This place is now 100 percent gluten free. I confirmed Celiac safe with the server. No gluten in entire restaurant and they are cautious with product sources. To top it all off, they make their own honey on their rooftop. My husband and I were so excited to discover this lovely restaurant. The staff is also amazing. They have gluten-free options, and after talking with the staff, I was put at ease knowing they take all the precautions necessary to avoid cross contamination when preparing gluten-free dishes. looking for a delicious gluten-free option or simply a perfect place for a date night, Sapristi St-Jean is the ideal place. The restaurant is easy to find, with parking spaces along the street. We were greeted quickly and seated at a table with a big smile, which immediately set the mood. As a starter, we opted for the onion soup and olives and pickles. The presentation was neat). For the main course, the gluten-free American pizza was absolutely delicious, with dough that really tasted like traditional dough (impressive for a gluten-free option). The two salmon pasta was good, but lacked a little salt to really bring out the flavors. In summary, an excellent experience, with tasty dishes and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for gluten-free options or just a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere

The experience starts with a small crowded entrance space where you are supposed to wait until someone comes to seat you. Once finally seated, you'll wait for your simple order (crepes) for 40 minutes. Neither espresso nor hot chocolate are good, crepes are dry and tasteless. We only came here because they offer gluten free crepes and it was a big disappointment and a waste of time.

I’m not someone who normally reviews, but our experience was so wonderful I had to do it! My 3yo daughter and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here and our server, Pascal, went above and beyond to make our experience so special. He was so kind and accommodating and made it his mission to put a smile on my daughter’s face! And a gluten-free menu was so nice too! I cannot express enough what a great experience we had together here and I highly recommend dining here! Especially with kids!!! Food was great and space is very charming too!

I asked for gluten-free (I'm celiac) and when picking up the order the chef specified that the pollock was gluten-free (iykyk the joy when a chef knows what he's talking about) and that he had done the best he could to vary the combo despite the restriction. 100% confident!

Based on a visit in Aug 2023. The restaurant was busy at 6PM on a Monday. We didn't have a reservation. However, we were able to get seated quickly. Our waiter was pleasant, professional and efficient. She spoke English fluently. She explained the various menu options to our satisfaction. We were pleased to see that smaller portion sizes were an option. It was just right for us with the soup and starters. Red wine was smooth and the espresso martini (not on the menu but our waiter said it could be made) was perfect after a long day of hiking. Food was served promptly. The minestrone was not bad. My wife enjoyed the mussels with marinara sauce (sauce was delicious). Her main course of gluten free pasta with fresh sauce and basil hit the spot. My penne with arabiata was good too. The restaurant serves gluten free pasta for an extra charge.

Recommend getting there between 5-6pm for outdoor seating. Lovely ambiance. Burgers were great. My wife’s gluten free bun did not fall apart which is a win for her. We both got the Quebec burger with a salad and would highly recommend!

Homemade sodas, poutine, burgers and milkshakes. Top quality classics! I would definitely go back! Gluten-free bread available for burgers (but I didn't taste it) quick service outside the tourist season, as it can fill up quickly during meal times in summer!

What a beautiful restaurant nestled in The Chateau Frontenac. It was a non pretentious, warm environment with atmospheric lighting. Lots to offer with its wide selection of food, especially gluten free. They have gluten-free bread to offer before your meal with butter, which is a plus. Since this option is not so widely offered. Highly recommend.

My husband and I easily made a reservation online. I ordered a drink and we shared a pasta dish. The drink and the food were delicious. We eat gluten free and the buns they served were very good. Our waitress was wonderful!

Incredible experience. We loved it! Sublime experience, we ate the discovery menu paired with the wine. The service was perfect, the perfect atmosphere for a Thursday evening with family at the castle. A gluten-free menu was available and suitable for all discerning palates!

Very fresh products, however the flavors are uneven. The salmon ceviche and sweet potato acras are to be recommended (and also gluten and dairy free). Relaxed atmosphere, not noisy. The service deserves a little more attention. The bathroom is unfinished basement style!

Restaurant in the heart of Quebec where we had an excellent meal on the terrace. The lobster is very delicious and the dish is very complete. Canadian style meat too. There is a gluten-free menu and dishes. Prices per plate range from about $20-$50. Highly recommended.

They have a gluten free menu and I had the escargot and Les Trois Mignons of cerf, wapiti, and bison, which was delicious. I learned on the walking tour it is the oldest building in Quebec City! Full of charm and warm ambience.
