Despite the nice place and the good quality of the food, the disappointment came with the bill. In almost 10 years of celiac disease I have never seen a SURCHARGE of 8 EUROS for gluten-free on a 12-pizza (for a total of 20 EUROS, almost DOUBLE). Since the menu was not written anywhere (is it legal?) I asked the owner for an explanation, who in a rather altered manner started showing me the receipts for the gluten-free bases that (in his words) he charges about 4 euros per nail, thus making the surcharge of double just on the base even more ridiculous, given that the cost of the ingredients and labor is already included in the price of the pizza. Average cuisine but I strongly advise against it for celiacs to avoid unpleasant surprises.

On the advice of a dear friend, we went to Sestante for lunch on Sunday! We were pleasantly impressed and satisfied: excellent welcome, friendly staff, plentiful and delicious dishes! I would like to point out that there were three of us at the table who were celiac... they offered us a sublime seafood risotto, and we were also able to order fried calamari because they only use rice flour!
