Came to derby to visit parents, my dad has dementia. Both parents are gluten free. It was quiet as a Friday midday. The waitress Sinitta immediately remembered my parents from being there only once before and they remembered her as said how nice she was last time. She welcomed us, sat and chatted and basically made us feel welcome. The fact she remembered my parents (in their 70’s) was so amazing! They made sure and double checked for gluten allergies which they both had and food was lovely! I don’t live in derby but I know they will be back again because they felt so looked after!

Really great cafe for gluten free options. I’m not 100% sure where the name came from as there really wasn’t many books? But overall the atmosphere was quirky and cosy. I ordered the bhaji sandwich on the online ordering option. There was no option to make it gluten free apart from the notes section but the waitress was happy to swap it and it came out with a GF bun, the food itself was really tasty

We enjoyed really great service from Jeremy. He was very polite, fast and checked in with us once we got our food. He got us drinks straight away and asked later on if we wanted more. He's a nice man who wasn't too overbearing but also didn't forget us. We also thought the warm welcome we got from SJ was very nice, even though we were quite late and they must have wanted to close. My girlfriend really liked her gluten free chicken pizza. I enjoyed by Chicken Parm. It was decent for the price. Was a shame that it was very quiet in there but good service, enjoyable drinks and food.

Had the set Christmas menu for eight of us, absolutely yum! Two of us were coeliac and that was no problem at all, you can feel like you are a nuisance! Thank you to all so much, deeelicious, it was all absolutely lovely 😍 xx

Fantastic place! Dog friendly and lots of vegan and gluten free options! I don't personally drink coffee but my boyfriend said it was really nice. The nicest hashbrowns I have ever eaten!

Had been for dinner with family with one of us being gluten free, the food was bit of a hit and miss. The gluten free main course was a pasta dish chosen from the set menu , the pasta was a bit undercooked and didn't really gel with the sauce in which it was cooked. I had the chicken milanese which was essentially a breaded slice of chicken with tomatoes on the side and bowl of salad with cheese , the chicken was too crispy and dry, didn't really enjoy it and wouldn't recommend . The dishes which I liked were the mushroom soup which was really good and the tiramisu dessert. We went on a Tuesday so essentially the restaurant was deserted being mid week , probably would have had a better vibe on the weekend.

Usually I would comment on just the food, but on this visit I would like to give massive praise to Eden who was waiting for the 1st time and totally smashed it there's nothing more he could of done for us he went over and over and above with a fun and friendly attitude. Even stayed after his shift had finished to complete our journey. Also dealt well with order of gluten free and vegetarian. A great 40th birthday meal. I hope to be served again soon by this lovely young man

As soon as you enter you are welcomed by the host and with beautiful wall decor on the left with pink blossoms and the right side with a beach and waves. You almost feel at Greece with almost natural music. The main restaurant is so great, the lights soft and the blue truly brings character. The food juicy and fresh, no hint of reheated. This was fresh food with touch of excellence. The staff were attentive enough to have a meal with minimal disturbance. I have to share that there is plenty of Gluten Free options with Gluten free pitta bread and Gluten free Mousakka, YES you read that correct. The tables are so cute! Very nice colour and chairs comfortable. The toilets clean and tidy. I think infrared heaters would be great addition to keep customers warm without breaking the bank. Parking seemed available but blocked. The price was suitable since we had three starters just to taste everything. All meat fresh and tasty, no concerns. Chips were fluffy and crispy. Drinks served without cans would add that touch of class. The experience here was great and the main host was full of knowledge and helpful attitude.

The staff are great plus the menu's are varied to everyone's taste and different requirements i.e. gluten free ingredients and alligies and they have a large seating area with a large number of staff to accommodate the constant flow of customers so no long waiting for your food and easy payment to of cash, card and phone. They even do outside catering to.

Really enjoyed my time there, i always do! The food was great, we got a big sharing platter which had a great selection. Some improvements could be to provide a gluten free alternative to the bread at the start of the meal, and the pina colada drink i had was very watered down, needs improving! Will definitely come again, the man who runs the desk was very kind!

Since finding out I have a few food intolerances I haven’t been able to eat a curry without fear of the aftermath. The gentleman on the phone was fantastic in advising me of what I could have and even spoke to the chef to make sure it was possible! Food arrived promptly and was delicious! The best restaurant in derby. So great to have a restaurant with a wide variety of healthy delicious meals. There are so many vegan and gluten-free options. We love being able to choose the size of our bowl (which means the kids can have the right size for them) and then choose from proteins, hot options, sides and the massive salad bar. We highly recommend their falafel, potato wedges and coleslaw. We will be going many more times! Service is quick and everyone’s really friendly.

We had a delicious birthday breakfast cooked to order. Our server was Tasha and she was so helpful. She even presented me with a birthday drink. There was also gluten free toast and muesli and soya milk available when we asked. We will be back.

We love going to the tea cosy. The food is delicious, as is the coffee. The cafe has a lovely community feel to it. The team at the tea cosy are all absolutely lovely. Would definitely recommend a visit. It's made even better by being dog friendly and the delicious gluten free cake ♥️

A wonderful hidden gem of a cafe/bar. Licensed, is only open until mid afternoon most days. The food is freshly prepared, with Gluten free, Vegan options.
