Another solo meal……there’s an art to solo eating. Go high end or drop to lower end quieter. Go mainstream and you’re gonna to feel uncomfortable. Casa is a simple but quality eating (and South American dance club if that’s your thing) venue. Halfway down Leeds’ Grand Arcade it offers an interesting array of South American foods. Offering a completely Gluten Free menu it’s niche. I ordered a glass of Pino Grigio while I looked at the menu. Not good. Sent it back. Got a Super Bock beer - superb. Ordered three dishes from their tapas menu. Lamb chops - delicious but lack of meat meant I felt shortchanged. Beef tacos - good but needed a little more spice/flavour, fried plantain with guacamole - delicious. Something of a curate’s egg. I’m inclined to say I like it. But it needs to sharpen up in a couple of areas.

nicely decorated and set up, good service from the staff. But the food was far from good. We had a set meal for 3 of us. it came with the smallest chapati I've ever seen (the size of a good biscuit) and there were 2 of them for 3 people. small portions. the starter was inedible and i eat anything and everything. Mains were watery in consistency. The only large portion was a potatoes dish. I don't go to an Indian restaurant for potatoes. Everything is gluten free, great if you can't tolerate it so maybe that's why the dishes didn't do it for me in the taste department. Soda water very expensive, same as a coke. Surprised there are so many top reviews. so guess its just me!

Dead good gluten free menu. Service is lovely and easy with the clips for drinks and when you’re ready to order. Food was lush, loved the loaded duck fries and seaweed

We loved our experience, the Murder on the Midnight Express was such a great concept and having to solve the murder with each course coming with a clue was so fun and added an extra layer to the meal. The meal itself was delicious, we enjoyed every course, and I myself am gluten free and they did an amazing job at making it easy for me. Our server was Grace and she was absolutely lovely, really on the ball and gave us a great experience (was even better when we got chatting about our love for cats!). The only thing I would say is that the music was way too loud and booming, the club style music just didn’t add to the atmosphere and was uncomfortable to sit through. Otherwise the experience was perfect, and we’ll definitely be back, especially if they have another interactive meal! Thank you all!

Terrible experience from lack of flavour food to the awful service from Josh the assistant Man... Aug 2024 My wife and I take a date night/ day each month as we have a hectic life with work and 7 year old little girl. Yesterday we wanted to travel up to leeds from Derby to enjoy a Virgin holiday gift voucher that, I bought for my wife for Xmas. The start of our experience and Brasserie Blanc Leeds, was as expected good. Helpful as my wife is Gluten and dairy intolerant. (Unfortunately not loads on the menu for choice, however ran through the options). THATS when our experience and day got RUINED! The waiter came across and asked how the meal was, I had mentioned that mine wasn't great (king prawns) however had eaten it as l was starving (I had been up since 3am and had a yogurt, whilst traveling). The prawns were over cooked and dry and the main was under seasoned. The assistant manager Josh came over and asked also, I mentioned it to him and said I don't want to complain it's just my personal opinion and my wife's was like a watery broth that also lacked flavour. Response was excuses instead of trying to help. I had made a comment that Greggs would have more flavour. After 30 minutes no one came over to take our deserts order. Josh made every effort not to come over to us. Which we got up and left and gave Josh the voucher. As we were leaving a lady did come out to apologise and Josh stood at the door. l asked why he didn't come over and said I thought you had been served as the menus were not in the table, I mentioned you had been serving us this afternoon and knew I didn't enjoy my main meal. More excuses came out. God awful customer service! As we were walking away Josh made a flippant remark "enjoy your Greggs!" This is shameful and uncalled for! Appalling behaviour that I wouldn't expect!
