We stopped in on a whim, traveling back to Maine and we are so glad we did. The gluten free options are what drew us in, but the top tier service and quality of this food have now made this our official spot when we come down. The hostess was incredibly friendly, our server was kind, and the food (GF fried pickles, calamari, bang bang shrimp, and onion rings) were incredible, as was the heated deck atmosphere. We will be back, very very soon.
Perfect for large groups, this spot delivers quick service and delicious appetizers, with everyone enjoying their meals together.

Excellent for Large Groups!
We came here for a team dinner, 20 of us. Appetizers that were ordered by our manager, were on the table before everyone's entree order was even taken.
Appetizers were delicious. And then the entrees all come out at the EXACT SAME TIME (even the gluten-free).
There were 3 Gluten-Free Pasta Options: Ziti, Spaghetti, or Cheese Ravioli (yes, you read that correctly).
The desserts were phenomenal (I had the creme brule.)
All in all, Giuseppe's was delicious, personable, and hospitable. We all absolutely enjoyed.
Incredible truffle-mushrooms pizza makes this spot a must-try, plus it's so good you might end up ordering two nights in a row!

I had a great experience with Stone crust pizza!
I have been ordering regular pizza for my children regularly but not knowing that they also offer gluten free pizza!
The gluten free truffle-mushrooms pizza was incredibly delicious! I ordered it two nights in a row! You must try it!
The delivery guy Adam was very polite!
I highly recommend this place!
Ideal for celebrations with its cozy ambiance and attentive service, plus outdoor seating makes it perfect for a lovely outing.

We chose the Black Cow for an engagement celebration and the whole experience was great. I called ahead of time and was able to request a table in a more private area of the restaurant to decorate and bring a special cake. The whole team was incredibly attentive and helpful to making our surprise happen! The manager, I believe his name was Mike, consistently checked in with us and helped us get our table on time. Gina was our waitress and she was awesome!! Highly recommend the bang bang shrimp and calamari. Also, great for a member of our party that was celiac. Thank you, Black Cow team!

I just ordered a Gluten Free steak and cheese on a wrap. It was actually for my girlfriend. I wrote in comment section. Gf sub roll. Bread Ect. If available please. It came on a wrap. She said it was really good just a little small for the price. I went in and paid for it. It was around $17.45. I gave a $20. Got back 2 dollar bills and change. Then i grabbed a coke a cola 20 oz bottle. That was $3.65 yup. $3.65 I almost put it back. I had to pull out a dollar bill with the 2 She gave back to me and my change. I did order it around 1:40 pm online said be ready at 1:55. I got there around 1:55. It still wasn't on the grill. I stood out front for maybe 8 to 10 mins. It wasn't busy at all. Maybe 8 total people inside. I'm give all 5 star because I didn't eat there. It's downtown Newburyport. It's really nice down there. Alot of people walking around thats 5 stars for me standing outside for atmosphere. Service I guess 5 stars. The girl did move her muffin she was eating when I went up to the counter. We all have to eat. Food 5 stars. She did say it was very good. Just a little small. It was about the size of a hotdog bun. For a big wrap. I get it. Food it's expensive right now. Thanks. I'd go back and sit down and eat. Give you my full review. Thank you.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with delightful pastries, incredible coffee, and a warm, inviting vibe that keeps everyone coming back for more.

My favorite spot in town! Whether you are looking for great coffee or tea, amazing house made pastries (muffins, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, teacakes, cookies, and so much more), breakfast sandwiches, or just a smile.. Olive's has it!
I always leave there in a good mood- the staff is friendly & very quick. Efficient & consistent operations means it's always a 5 star visit!
You can also get gluten free & vegan options without compromising any quality (the gluten free chocolate chip cookies are maybe event better than the original)! From healthy snacks to an indulgent treat.. Olive's is the place to go!
*Pro tip- they do sell out of certain items on weekends so head in early if you are craving something specific!
Enjoy a stunning waterfront ambiance with excellent service that makes every visit feel special, perfect for memorable celebrations.

I had dinner with my wife the other night for our wedding anniversary and was blown away by the food and atmosphere! We pulled out boat right into the dock which was awesome! Had the best service from a nice young man I think named Max? He was always available when we needed him and speedy with our service and whatever we needed that night. He made our night that much more special! Needless to say we will definitely be visiting before the season is over 😀 will be recommending to be seated by the same server when we visit. He was very attentive to my wife's celiacs and informed us of what we should stay away from on the menu. I've been dreaming of coming back since we left. 🤤
Great atmosphere with a quieter first floor vibe, plus outstanding service that makes every visit feel special.

Food was really good as was the service. We were seated on the first floor which was a lot quieter than the second floor where we sat last time. Good for gluten free.
A hidden gem just outside downtown, this cozy spot delivers great vibes and delicious drinks that are worth the stroll and wait.

Excellent place.
On Sundays my wife and I try to find a different breakfast/cafe place to visit on the North Shore (think area from Wenham to Seabrook to Andover). She needs gluten free so it can be a challenge to find good coffee/pastries/breakfast for both of us. This place did not disappoint. We’ve checked out ~ 20 places (all 4.5 or higher) in the last ~9 months and I’d say this place is among the top 5. When we arrived there was a line (good sign) and ordering/customer service/interaction was great.
I had an egg sandwich on an Asiago bagel - enjoyed it very much (9/10). I got a maple bacon scone and white chocolate raspberry scone to go. Those were good (8.5/10). Hot coffee was good (8.5/10). Wife had an açaí bowl (9/10) and gluten free chocolate scone (9/10).
We will be back. Note, we’ve searched for places in Newburyport over the last 9 months… and this place never ‘popped up’ on our radar as we were assuming we should search for breakfast places in the concentrated downtown area. This place is ~ 3 blocks from the downtown area so google maps may not highlight it. If you are in the downtown area, this place is worth the walk. Plenty of street parking if driving.
Disappointing. Presentation was beautiful, but the food was super bland and not exciting. Chose this restaurant for gluten free options, and they were very open in saying that cross contamination was a thing so we couldn’t really order much for our celiac friend. They shouldn’t have gf on their menu if they can’t take care of their guests. The waitress never introduced herself, so we didn’t know her name, got visibly annoyed when we asked for actual menus, and was more annoyed when our friend didn’t order anything other than soup because she couldn’t trust the gf options. Overall, disappointing.
A unique spot in Newburyport, offering homemade, flavorful dishes in a great atmosphere that's hard to find anywhere else.

If you want tasty food, go here! Love the vegan and gluten free options. Plus the atmosphere is great. Don't expect great quality at fast food prices, whether it's here or other small businesses & restaurants. Such a unique place, it's harder and harder to find foodspots that focus on homemade and gourmet food but Joppa does a good job.
Spacious space, which is a plus right now.Nice atmosphere, assortment of tea & coffee drinks, along with sandwiches & pastries.I usually get gluten free chicken salad wrap, which is very good.Employees are friendly.(Just adding now, prices have gone up and extra for gluten free.)
A convenient spot with a smooth order pickup process and quality offerings, making dining hassle-free and enjoyable.

My daughter mixed up the location pick up when she ordered online. I didn’t realize it until I was at the pick up window. We were able to change the pick up location right at the pick up window. It was easy! Quick and easy! Good quality food! I wish they would offer more gluten free options.
Just renovated with a cozy vibe, this spot offers fresh options, great value, and ample parking—perfect for a laid-back meal!

I recently had lunch at a newly renovated Mexican restaurant, and I must say, they did a beautiful job with the renovation, changing the furniture and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food was fantastic, with fresh and tasty options that were reasonably priced. I was especially impressed by the variety of gluten-free options available. The service was also fantastic, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. Additionally, there was plenty of parking space available, which was a bonus. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious Mexican cuisine in a welcoming environment.
Outstanding Indian cuisine. I had the lamb Curry prepared gluten-free and it was superb. The mango chutney was delicious and the tea was perfect. The staff was friendly and accommodating but not overbearing.
I didn't want to love this place~ but! Great sandwiches and I love they have a mini option on many of them!! They use nice sandwich meats and also have a gluten free option !
An exceptional spot with standout creme brulee, memorable service, and bold shrimp and chorizo that keeps taste buds excited.

Hands down best creme brulee I've had since visiting Montreal. Wait staff very knowledgeable about gluten free items on the menu. Hostess remembered my name, pronouncing it correctly, throughout the evening. Shrimp and chorizo was bold and savory without too much heat. Polenta was delicious. Highly recommend.
Plenty of gluten free options, they have tamari and separate pans so most items that are not fried or pre-marinated are celiac safe from my experience!
