4.5* - This was the first time I’ve had authentic (to what I think) Venezuelan cuisine, and it didn’t disappoint! We ordered the yucca fries, Pabellon Criolo, 2 arepas, and the soup of a day. Obviously, way too much food for 2. I thought the yucca fries & the creamy cilantro avocado salsa/sauce was delicious. The pabellon criolo, which is the Venezuelan National Dish, was delicious. Stewed pork, rice, beans, and 3 slices of plantains. Very, very, very good!!! The two arepas we ordered were very delicious as well. They put a lot of filling in them, so they’re a whole meal in one. Arepas are also gluten free. Soup was alright. Not the star. Order the Venezuelan National dish, one arepa, and maybe an appetizer… you’ll be stuffed with great food.

Be wary if you have issues with gluten here. Their menu states that they take "extreme cautions to minimize the risk of cross contamination", but the waitress told me that they boil their noodles in the same water as their dumplings, meaning ANYTHING with noodles is cross contaminated (including the pho and spring rolls). Honestly, this is super disappointing and does not indicate much care for minimizing cross contamination. That being said - their cocktails were tasty. My husband got their pho and enjoyed it. I got the Vietnamese chicken curry, which was tasty but VERY spicy. Service was kinda slow; it took quite a while to get our drinks ordered and then to get our food order in. They brought out our entrees but forgot my husband's summer rolls. I also requested no cilantro on my dish but it came out with a huge sprig on top. Overall I found this to be a disappointing experience, considering the blatant cross-contamination and hit-and-miss service.

This review is for the vegan pie with cheese. First let me say the service was great, for the most part, and I really appreciate them offering a vegan pie (that is also gluten free!). Major props. I’ve seen some gnarly factory farming docs and have seen things I can’t unsee, hence eating vegan. That said, the only reason for the low stars is just that, it’s not worth $30 and I can’t justify spending it again. The tomato sauce was tasteless and the basil not fresh, and somehow it had like zero flavor. I doused it in chili oil and garlic powder to add flavor. Toppings are needed to make this worth your while. Offering a pie with, say, broccolini and chopped garlic (or even just cheese and mushrooms!) could make this more substantial. I almost got halal cart after this but just decided to call it a night.

We very much enjoyed our date night here! Loved the ambience and decor. Server very accommodating and efficient in checking with chef re my multiple questions about two entree and later the desserts to discern what was both gluten-free and egg-free. We got the guac and chips, enchiladas suizas and carne asada tacos (all gluten-free and egg-free) as well as drinks. Everything was very delicious! Sadly, none of the desserts were both egg-free an gluten-free but given how full we were it was just as well. Very chilly on a cold December night, had to keep our coats on (it's why I docked a star though wish I could just do a quarter star). We will definitely be back!

Had such a good time here. The food was so good and had a lot of variety Thai food and not just the basic fare, which we loved. There were also multiple vegetarian options, which is great for me! Both tofu and gluten are available for most dishes, as well as just vegetable, and if you're vegan, they clearly mark which dishes are fully vegan. The waitress we had was so sweet and attentive and asked us if we had visited Thailand before because of what we ordered and we chatted about it, it was such a lovely experience. The restaurant is decorated so cute, with flowers everywhere and pretty consistent flower theming, and our desserts came in the cutest dishes. I live in Manhattan, but I would absolutely make the trip to come here again!

We decided to try this recently, after passing it on a daily basis. After trying several places in Astoria, this place has the best burger I’ve tried by far. Cooked to perfection, and I am especially happy they offer gluten free options for those with celiac. The sauces we got with the fries were something else. No doubt, we’ll be back soon.

We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this place. My family is on a gluten free diet and until we got here they were bummed out to not be able to taste some real NYC pizza. Well here they got their wish and LOVED it! Owner was also very nice as they were getting ready to close when we got here. Will come again when we are in town.

I’ve been wanting to dine here, and finally got the chance to go for dinner. They start with complimentary pita bread and chick pea dip, which was a light way to start. We got the Greek salad to start. The stuffed grape leaves were great, the acidity balanced great with the feta cheese and olives. For dinner, we weren’t too hungry and decided to split the Octopus Salad and P.E.I Mussels. For appetizers, they were a good size and filling. The muscles and octopus were very fresh, and the sauce the muscles were cooked in was also very light and had a pleasant wine flavor. I probably wouldn’t order the octopus again since it’s more of an octopus salad. That said, the octopus was tender and cooked well overall. I would like to come back and try more of their dishes. All the food was very light, fresh, and cooked well. My fiance is celiac and he was able to eat everything we tried but the pita bread (which is unfortunate because it was so good with the dip!)

I ordered a gluten free waffle and believe their batter was off, the waffle was sour with a kinda vinegar taste. Friends tried it too and agreed something was off. I mentioned to the waitress who offered to change it which I refused as I wasn't interested to get anymore food there. I let her go with the rest of it and still got fully charged for that item. I wouldn't have wrote a review if I wasn't now feeling sick with heartburns. Never again there.

We were in the area for a business project and took a chance on this spot for an early dinner. Around 430 so wasn't crowded. Our waiter Miguel was attentive and made sure all of our additional needs were met. Many of us had nutritional/dietary restrictions and the menu was flexible. There were also gluten free options. A really cute place, great food and experience. I would definitely go back when in the area.

The staff is friendly and the pizza was delicious… unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience. We had ordered gluten free pizzas because my daughter has a severe wheat allergy. The pizza was so good and did not taste like any other gluten pizza we’ve had we had to make sure it was gluten free (my daughter had finished a slice by then) after 3 confirmations that this was gluten free, the manager came out (hearing about my daughter’s allergy) and said there was a “mix up” and were in fact NOT gluten free. We ran out and rushed to the hospital. Please don’t advertise gluten free if you don’t serve gluten free - whether it’s a choice or an allergy, restaurants should respect people’s choices/consider allergens.

Best Baigan Bharta I've ever had! And I've had many. I love that they don't overcook the eggplant, and the eggplant actually still has some semblance of being eggplant. It also isn't overwhelmed by onion, garlic, or spices, so you can actually still taste the eggplant. Also helpful was the fact that the vegan items on their menu are designated with an asterisk. However, it wasn't as easy to determine which items were gluten-free, and I didn't have 100% confidence that our server knew what vegan and gluten-free meant. Maybe he did, and I'm just being overly cautious? Luckily I felt fine and didn't have any kind of reaction. Anyway, along with the Baigan Bharta, I also had their butternut squash soup, which was silky smooth, savory, and just a little sweet from the butternut squash. Yum! I'm sure I will be back, if anything just to have that Baigan Bharta again. The restaurant is easy to get to, literally right next to the stairs of the Ditmars N/W train station.

One my go-to’s for a beautiful Italian meal. Love it so much, I’ve convinced my company to host our annual gatherings here!! Their artichoke salad has me 🥰 in love and I love that they offer gluten free pasta options. I always leave here very pleased and satisfied. My first impression about this restaurant is that it is very large and they have a very nice decoration. From the moment we arrived the attention was good and fast. I suggest that if you want to go with a large group of people it is better to make a reservation because although the restaurant is large, many people will come to eat. It's my turn to have the brunch menu. If you are celiac, the truth is that it is not a very extensive menu. But I suggest the eggs with cheese and homemade potatoes, they are very good. The salads we ordered were accompanied with meat and chicken as an extra. The food has good flavor and good size. The prices are not excessive and the size of the dishes is worth it. I hope to return to this restaurant to try the lunch menu, which they start serving I think at 4-5 in the afternoon. I give the food 4 stars because it would be perfect to have more gluten free options.

Contacted the Queens Room for a party of 15 the day before a memorial at St. Michael's and the owner, Antonia hooked us up. The service was on point and the food was delicious. She suggested pre-ordering appetizers for our guests which came out promptly after our drink orders were in. Antonia made herself available via email and phone just in case we had a change in plans which was comforting on a day that was difficult. We had a vegan, vegetarian and a gluten free guest and there were filling options for all of them. I highly recommend The Queens Room for the service and food. This will be my family go to from now on.

I don't usually review places unless I've been there at least twice, but this one is well-earned! The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was accomodating to dietary needs. The outdoor seating is also cute and much appreciated since Covid levels are quite high right now. I brought my friend here for a farewell dinner since she's moving away. We both have dietary needs and I called ahead to make sure they could accomodate. We really appreciated that their menu marks vegetarian and gluten free options. Plus the staff graciously worked with us on my allergies to garlic and onion. Our server was very attentive and sweet. She made sure we didn't feel rushed to leave since we were taking a while to talk and eat. We asked her to take a photo of us and she went out of her way to take several. The food was also great! They had a lot of vegan options, some of which I hadn't seen before at Thai restaurants. The prices are reasonable, even competitive compared to others in the area. We got lychee thai teas and split the summer rolls, subbing the sauce for plum sauce. I got the Sauteed String Beans & Eggplant and my friend got the Peanut Curry. The dishes were well-presented and the portions were generous. Make sure you note your spice level because their default curry spice may surprise you 😂 I'll definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely last night for us 🥰

I have ordered catering to the UES many times over the past year and this is always a top hit for lunch! Everyone in my office looks forward to the delicious mixed pita and sandwich trays. The prices are right for the value, because these are loaded with goodies. It is not easy to please everyone, but with Shawarmania, there is something for everyone. Despite our distance from the restaurant, the food always arrives perfectly on time and hot! I especially love that there are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. There is truly something to fit everyone's dietary needs, concerns, and restrictions. There is also consistent dedication to the customer; BIG shoutout to Jim for always treating us right :)

Gluten Free allergy friendly menu. Whoever is complaining about the price obviously doesn’t get out much. Fair price. Got the Loukaniko, Shrimp Loukoumades both amazing. Octopus balls not my cup of tea but a must try. Wife said the Spanakopita was great. Salmon was super fresh and perfectly cooked. On to the dessert... once again Gluten Free in a Greek restaurant most of the time means I’ve cream or sorbet. Got a PORTOKALOPITA, not sure if I spelled that right but I FREAKIN LOVED IT! Our server Kostantino was a pleasure to be around and I’ve never met such happy bus boys. Great food, Amazing staff. Highly recommended from the bald KYPREO.

This spot is the best — I love the protein shakes & fruit smoothies, as well as the owner’s commitment to the neighborhood! He listens to customers and is super knowledgeable about allergy-friendly & gluten-free options. All the ingredients are always fresh, and each visit somehow tops the last, it’s really incredible. If I could give this place more stars, I would! 🌟 Updating to add: the gluten-free granola is so good, and is kept separate to ensure no cross-contamination (AJ is the best!!!). The smoothie bowls are delicious, I can’t recommend this place enough! 💜
