I’ve heard such amazing things about this place so I was really excited to try it. I ordered my food on Uber eats so that may have made the difference with dine out. The pizza was OK, I didn’t love the cheese and there wasn’t a lot of sauce. However, the bread was great especially gluten-free. The fries were a little bit cold so that might be why they weren’t so good but I wasn’t in love. And the mac & cheese was OK. It was probably the best thing out of all three items that I tried. I just wish it had more cheese. I would definitely try it again, but would try different items or in person this time.
Freekeh is a hidden gem in SF and strikes that rare combination of amazing food, service, and ambiance.
We ordered a house sampler to try their various spreads and could not decide which one was our favorite- they were all that good, though the muhammara is a must-try! I am gluten intolerant and they happily accommodated me with homemade GF lavash-esque chips to go with the spreads.
We also got the cauliflower and three different skewers - would highly recommend the kufta and shish tawook (chicken); each came paired with different sauces and were incredibly well marinated and tender. We tried two desserts and loved the halawa o buza- creamy, nutty, and the perfect amount of sweet.
Our dining experience was complemented by the owner and waitress, who took great care of our table and simply radiated kindness and warmth. It was such a pleasure to dine here and we can’t wait to come back!

BEWARE. The Gluten Free (GF) Labels on the menu mean GF options available for that dish, NOT that the dish is gluten free. Talk to your server about your order.
I was excited when seeing the GF labels all over the menu, especially when seeing that most of those dishes involved pita bread. Sadly after talking to the bartender I learned that their pita is (obviously) not GF. Their rice pilaf also has soy sauce in it, so do not just assume the dish is GF even though they are labeled GF. Service was great and the food was good. Pricey, but normal for the gaslamp area and it was very tasty.

Our server Allie was awesome! She made sure my meal was allergy safe (I have a serious allergy to gluten, celiac disease). I got the buffalo chicken salad with air fried gf chicken!🐓

I'm an "alt meat"/ "food tech" foodie, so I had to visit to try the vegan lamb kebab. It was phenomenal! Best alt meat I've had since first trying the impossible burger years ago. The hummus was also exceptional and I was impressed that they served gluten free pita.

Nice update! They added some extra gluten free and vegan options since the last time I was here. It was my first time here for brunch so I tried and loved the breakfast tacos(not vegan). Psyched to come back and try some of the new stuff 😋

The food was fine. The fresh pita was fantastic, but the chicken was overdone and dry even though it was advertised as thigh meat. Really liked the gluten free veggie basket option to go with the dips and the eggplant appetizer sampler was nice although the carrots, labne and beets that came as a part of it were meh. Tried one piece of each and left the rest. Would have been nicer to be able to just get a three eggplant sampler.

During the holidays I went here twice. Once to meet with friends. I had the carrot soup and the wonderful ginger honey tea, which inspired me to start making it at home. The food was so delicious I had to go back. I wanted to try their breakfast. So Sunday morning after Christmas, i went back with family. They had a wonderful young jazz quartet who provided the most unexpected and best atmosphere during breakfast. Gluten-free pancake breakfast with tea and jazz.

Being gluten-free, even the slightest cross-contamination affects me, but this restaurant handled my gluten-free order with exceptional care. The owner was incredibly understanding, taking the time to explain the meticulous process they follow to ensure gluten-free meals. I'm beyond grateful for their attention to detail and consider it outstanding service. Not to mention, the food was incredible—I left feeling full, with more than half of my plate still untouched.

We were very surprised by the menu and dishes served. There wasn't a theme I could discern. Most of the entrees were absolutely wild and unique to me and my gastroexpert wife. Don't get me wrong the food was extremely delicious, with serious attention to detail. Expansive beverage / wine / NA selection with some fun unique cocktails, like the iberico fat old fashioned.
Appetizers were equally wild. Roasted oysters with bone marrow and horse radish butter? Venison tartar with calabrian chile? Yes yes and yes please! I'm sad we didn't try more : ( based on how scrumptious those were. Wild dishes that not only worked but stood above other elevated cuisines we've had in San Diego.
Entrees continued the trend. We sampled two pizzas, one anchovi that was gobbled up and another that was gluten free and also goneso.
I had the grilled iberico pork secreto, and found while some chew here and there, the balance with white beans, arugula and apple mostarda sauce was delightful.
The Oxtail Gnocchi was sublime.
The two real all stars of the night were the Torchio and the Cappelleti. Both for very different reasons. The latter has a lemon sauce that is vibrant, and the bugs bunny was very tender and flavorful. On the former it was a hot mess. Curly pasta with a huge burratta in the middle surrounded with succulent lamb. What?!
I will say the portions of the gnocchi and cappelletti were perfect for a light meal.
Side note, our server sent us two drinks that were not what we ordered (originally ordered the "shield" sauv blanc and got the "il masso" Pinot. Didn't complain because it was good but asked to taste the sauv and the server was correct in what I really wanted! Same with the Ponche he served the Lemon and Herbs and after trying both he was correct again!)
Based purely on the vast differences of cuisine choices this is an easy repeat location. Atmosphere was open and inviting, modem but sophisticated. Glass Window Kitchen in the back provided all the right vibes.
Looked at the desserts but could not indulge after such a filling and appetizing meal.
Will repeat! Great job yet again, Brian!

The food was wonderful. It's hard to find a restaurant that has good gluten free options that the kids and adults will all like.
Our waiter wasn't the friendliest, but when there was an issue with some chicken that had been ordered, handled it quickly and notified the manager who was very quick to resolve this issue.
Would definitely recommend.

Full charm in a lovely lil town. They sat us next to the fireplace, great. Had a couple flights of local wines along with radishes, a butternut and burrata salad, and a really good gluten free pizza! After dinner we browsed their wine store and wound up taking home several bottles.

Very cute, European vibes. Everything was delicious, including the spicy pineapple margarita, and they were able to substitute French fries for the rice which has pasta, for a gluten free option. I was disappointed they didn't have any vegan gluten free chocolate cheesecake that was on the menu.
A long-time favorite, this spot delights everyone with delicious options and clear labeling for diverse dietary needs.

Lias Was Here
We'd eaten here almost exactly a year ago and really loved the gluten free and vegan options so we tried it again. Ordered the mediterranean chicken, shrimp, lamb and falafel rice bowls for takeout. Didn't bother checking the order as we waited for it and were in communication with the cashier at the time who let us know our order was ready. Get home and they switched the shrimp for some gyro seeming meat and didn't bother to label the lamb and chicken which looked suspiciously similar. The person who ordered the chicken last year couldn't eat their dish as it seemed to be way over spiced. The person who ordered the shrimp was understandably disappointed but it was too far and too late to go back. Will not order from Healthyish again as it was a very sad meal - with the exception of the falafel bowl which was delicious.
Enjoy large portions and a fantastic variety, perfect for leftovers and a nice change from the usual coastal dining options!

They prepared me a plate of “Creamy Chicken Fettuccine” but Gluten Free!
I told them I was celiac and they changed my pasta and it was delicious!
They also accompany it with a salad or soup before as an appetizer. Everything was amazing
I am celiac, and I felt very comfortable. Everything was delicious.

Seriously delicious and reasonably priced spot in Atwater with a window and outdoor seating only. The quality and quantity of food was excellent for the price. It’s hard to actually feel full with healthy food that’s actually delicious for under $20 these days. I subbed cucumber for pita bread for a gluten free option with the hummus and it was surprisingly filling. Highly recommend.

We were staying in Half Moon habor and opted to try Seville Tapas. The seating is completely outdoors, dog friendly (as long as your dog is well mannered) and there isn’t a ton of shade so plan accordingly. The menu is broad and has alot of Gluten Free options. They offer gluten free bread as well, be sure to check if it’s available if this is one of the sole reasons you are coming. Some of our favorite’s were the Pinchos Morunos and the Spanish Sampler. Everything is well seasoned and came to the table at the perfect temperature. Be sure to try the Decadence Sundae it is exceptional.

I wanna give them a 4.5. I've had like half of the menu, the only thing I flat out didn't like was on the early bird. It was clearly seasoned for a retirement home. Otherwise, you're not gonna get a bad meal. The pasta here is really good and I was actually surprised that I liked the gluten-free pasta as well when I tasted it. Salmon salad, chili mac, the hangover and the Tutto Mare are probably my favs.
They'll go above and beyond if you have celiac's like my friend does. She never gets sick here.
Nestled in the mountains, this serene spot offers a delightful selection of homemade dishes that celebrate fresh, clean ingredients.

I have a very low grade gluten allergy - no celiac or anything but boy did this make my meal experience miserable. I don't know how many times I told them not to worry too much as I wasn't going to die from a little bit of gluten, I had a supervisor warn the kitchen, a manager come to my table twice to argue my choice of meal(chicken and potatoes) and my meal came 15 minutes after my husbands did. You would think that they would have the decency to comp a drink or something but we received the bill with everything on it and full price. And to add fuel to the fire - it was my birthday.
update: Olive Garden did well in making this right. We revisited the restaurant and had a wonderful experience with an excellent waiter and had a delicious meal. The difference was to just let the waiter know that the gluten issue was a "preference" rather than an allergy. To those the redeemed the restaurant, Thank you!
