I like this cafe and really close to my house. The coffee is strong which is great but I so so so wish they served Oat, Almond or Coconut milk as Soy is just not for everyone and I find the Hazelnut milk a bit watery. The food is good with quite a few "amazing" Gluten Free options which awesome to see.

One of few cafés around these days that are open early for breakfast (opens at 8am - many we've tried to go to don't open until 10am). Good gluten free options on both the menu and in the cabinet. I had the smashed avo (with added bacon) which was divine! The cabinet food looked amazing and I'm very keen to go back to try some of the delights in there. Fast, friendly service. I'll be back!

Had some great vegetarian gluten free items for lunch including a roasted vegetable muffin that had egg and cheese and a curried quinoa and chick pea salad with their own curry spices, and a roasted kumara and beat salad with feta - all delicious. Hubby loved his pepper steak and cheese pie. Thanks! Fresh vegetables for sale looked good and well-priced.

This place is a must visit spot! Our kids enjoyed the cute rabbits and playground which made for a great experience from the parents side! Food was fantastic! A very generous portion and gluten free options! Very happy customer!

We were lucky to experience this fine establishment before the busy season. Despite not any other options in kaiteriteri these guys knock it out of the park. Gluten free options, yummy enough food to order it again the next time your in, staff who actually are happy to serve and appreciate the patronage, but also A funky deck. Our only Complaint: the lit up Stage, with the lonely guitar that didn’t see any action. That in addition to them not asking Glenn Thorpe to Do a set:). Rock on Beached Whale. Canadian Travel Mongers stamp of approval gladly !!

I have ordered from here 3 separate times, adding in notes that i have coeliac disease, and i have gotten sick from eating here every single time. I have told the branch this and they have sent apology emails and vouchers saying this will not happen again, and each time I am still getting sick. Very disappointed as have been told they can cater to me and I am getting violently ill each time - unfortunately will not be eating here again. Coeliacs be cautious!!!

To echo the other reviews, what an amazing find! We shared the Pernod prawns, my husband had the lasagna (which automatically came gluten free) and I enjoyed pizza with the best gluten free base I've ever had. Large portions and all very tasty. Loved that the ciders, wines etc were all NZ. The staff were clearly busy but were really friendly. Cool atmosphere. I would definitely recommend!

I just called dominos (Richmond) to see if they could do a fully Gluten free pizza for my dad (he's celiac so he can't have any gluten, if it touches something with gluten in it he will react) The lady I talked to was amazing! (Emma? She was a manager) So lovely! She said they can do gf and she will use new toppings and a new cutting tool and cut plate to make sure there will be no cross contamination! She was bright and happy to do it for me, I'm so happy with their customer help!

Alesha from Bearlion catered the food for our wedding and damn in was GOOD! We had a range of dietary requirements (including having all of the food vegetarian and coeliac friendly) which Alesha easily took in her stride. Bearlion was a natural fit for us. Who could say no to plant-based, local, seasonal deliciousness?! The cake in particular was a fudgy chocolatey scorched meringue work of art! 10/10 highly recommend!

Excellent experience here. Great setting under cover but warm n sunny. Uncluttered menu; choices for everyone including gluten free. They understand Celiac and catered for my needs . They catered for the mokopuna too making them an icecream sundae 🍨 Local wines & beers available; non alcoholic too. Will be back

This place is AMAZING and delicious. So many options from healthy salads to gluten free berry crumble cake with cream. Even if the food had been mediocre, I would come back just for the service. Ruby was so friendly and even offered to show us around the city. Unfortunately we are leaving town tomorrow otherwise we would have taken her up on it! Thank you so much for the lovely lunch and hospitality.

We were on holiday last week. On the first night we decided to try the stables because our young son has celiac. We told the waitress when she took our drink order and she informed the chef. The chef even went so far as to double check which of our children was celiac by coming to our table. Our son was able to enjoy fish and chips with the family. It was made in its own gf fryer. Afterwards, he had a warm gf brownie with cream for dessert. He had zero adverse side effects which usually come on 48-72 hours after eating gluten. It went so well that we decided to come back 5 days later for dinner. Everything was fabulous from the wait staff to the cocktails (I highly recommend the berry fizz). Will be back the next time we are in Nelson.

Quaint lovely food, built during the second world War by conscientious objectors as a commune, still true to the style this cafe serves local and organic, gluten free. Vegetarian and vegan food staff very pleasant and helpful. Pretty busy at lunch time with outdoor seating in the sun or inside if you prefer. An amazing garden setting with massive collection of cacti of all different shapes and sizes to wonder at. Great for late morning or afternoon in the sun

The best Cafe in town! Great friendly staff owned by a family. Has amazing coffee and heaps of history behind all the different types. We had Katsu and Karaage chicken Donburi’s and they were so tender and filled with heaps of flavour. They also cater for gluten free options. We always eat there when we come up to Motueka, 10/10 recommend 🤩

If you're anywhere near Kaiteriteri, it should be the place you dine! The meals we had there were some of the very best we've ever had: the fusion of flavours was fabulous, and the dishes were presented beautifully. Food heaven! Wait-staff were great. Highly recommendable! (We aren't vegetarian, and I'm gluten-free)

Beautiful spot! Super yum and fresh. Have to bring my gluten free friend here as they had a loaf called “the gluten free” (buckwheat, SD, flax, chia, yeast, rosemary oil). Just had some dinner here and oh my was it a hit I'd say one if the best food Trucks in town for sure! The couple who are running it are super lovely and accommodating for our dietary requirements dairy free and gluten free option were super tasty and would 100% recommend to anyone!! The home made chilli sauce was out the gate so sweet job team!!! Beautiful location, food and people so if your in marahau and you've just finished an adventure into the able tasman definitely Refuel here!!

My family is Gluten free and we love Pizza kitchen. We order 2 pepperoni and fungi pizza almost every week. We call in the order ahead of time and it’s a great service and it tastes yummy.
