I've eaten here twice. Excellent environment: well-kept, with many tables; I recommend going early so you are served more slowly and there aren't many customers. For both lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers menus with various options, including gluten free. At lunch there are menus with offers (a first course, a second course....).
If you spend more than 15 euros the cover charge is offered free!
The portions are generous and the vegetables are fresh, cooked, in my opinion, like at home, that is, without excessive seasonings. Prices are very competitive.
I tried the trofie with pesto with potatoes and green beans: absolutely excellent, to be savoured! The farinata is also superlative, with a gluten free option.
A special dessert and lemon cream, a specialty created by the cook: truly delicious and light. When we come to Savona, we will definitely return!
A hidden gem with a cozy vibe, offering delicious traditional dishes in a unique cave setting that's perfect for any occasion.

La Grotta is an exceptional restaurant. My boyfriend is coeliac and they were more than accommodating. We had a fabulous charcuterie board to start which was out of this world. My pesto cream pasta for main was genuinely one of the nicest pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Aperols were flowing, service was top tier. Thank you

This weekend we had a small reunion with friends, all vegans, one of whom was celiac.
The staff was very knowledgeable and kind, their pizza with cheese and vegan pesto... spectacular!!!
Also very good risotto with artichokes and veg cheese.
We also had the choice of dessert: either a strawberry pudding or an orange cake, I gave in to the cake!
Very good and fresh, nothing to envy of the "normal" ones.
I don't think these sweets are on the menu, it's always better to call first to let them know what you need and ask.
Congratulations, super recommended place.

I took two fried fish 🐟 gluten-free to take away, really well made and well packaged, they also gave me an excellent naturally gluten-free focaccia, very kind staff.

Gluten-free pizza excellent for us celiacs, I have been frequenting this pizzeria for years. I don't feel like giving the maximum stars because yesterday I had a bad experience with one of the owners who, to convince me of the safety of his pizza (given the writing that they did not guarantee the lack of contamination on the menu) told me that his daughter has celiac disease and goes into anaphylactic shock. Celiac disease does not lead to anaphylactic shock and since I am also allergic to crustaceans and molluscs, I no longer felt so comfortable entrusting him with my true allergy after having understood from his sentence that he does not know the difference between allergies and celiac disease. Having said that, the pizza is excellent, but the topic should be studied when serving food.
A vibrant spot with a welcoming vibe, where everything is made with care and everyone can enjoy delicious, innovative dishes together!

Of all the places with gluten-free cuisine, it remains my favorite where I can eat with the total absence of contamination. The managers are very prepared, welcoming and the cuisine is tasty even for those who are not celiac. Well done, keep working well like this 🙏❤️

GF pizza was SO good, you have the choice of any of their regular pizzas (there’s like 50 to choose from). My partner enjoyed the regular crust :) and the staff were really nice!

Bad experience, little attention, a lot of rudeness and watch out for contamination ‼️
Introduction: it is not the first time we have booked at this place because for me, being celiac, the quality of the pizza is very high. However, I never expected the treatment I received this last time.
We should have already understood that the evening would go badly from the moment we went there at 9.00 pm and discovered that our reservation had been lost in the hyperuranium. Our table for 6 people was still prepared but outside, without the foresight of placing a heating mushroom near us since it was 15 degrees. After an hour of receiving the order, nothing had yet been brought to us, not even 3 beers and 3 cokes (which also arrived incorrectly). After asking several times where our pizzas were and, seeing as we had been waiting for 2 hours in the cold, in annoyance they finally moved us inside, unaware that the worst was yet to come.
At 11.30pm the pizzas finally arrive... all of them, except mine gluten-free.
After about twenty minutes my pizza finally arrived...SPOILER: IT WAS WRONG.
I had ordered a simple "margherita" and I was brought a "margherita 2.0" complete with parmesan, buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. Having alerted the waiter of the incorrect serving, the PIZZA WAS BROUGHT BACK TO ME AND IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT BACK WITHOUT TOMATOES (among other things, CONTAMINATED since they were taken away from me with sweet, beautiful hands contaminated by gluten). I FELT DEEPLY TAKEN OFF, so I got up to go and ask for explanations of my treatment. The manager, once again angrily, initially denied what had happened, trying to make me believe that their margherita pizza was like this (too bad they DON'T declare the ingredients on the menu... which is quite dangerous given the food allergies and totally illegal), then he turned to the chef with a "then make this margherita"...
When everyone else had finished eating, I also managed to have my pizza.
But it didn't end here...
At midnight no one bothered to come and ask if we wanted a dessert or a coffee so we had to get up ourselves. Once we got to the cashier to close on a high note we were even told that we had been given a discount (a few pennies)…
This spot boasts a stunning sea view, an impressive menu, and top-notch dishes that leave you feeling light and satisfied.

Extremely good restaurant also for celiacs: starters and main courses are prepared without using gluten. The location is fantastic and you will probably need to book in the summer. Prices are affordable.
Excellent surprise. We stopped with friends for a pizza and, despite the area where the restaurant is located, we found an excellent pizzeria, with a wide choice of pizzas (also for celiacs and gluten intolerants) and beers. Very friendly service and nice place. I will definitely be back!

Went with friends, I have celiac disease and asked for a focaccia with lard, they tell me there is no lard, so I take focaccia with gorgonzola, cherry tomatoes and raw ham which couldn't be saltier than that, the focaccia was quite burnt so I left most of the focaccia it is not
No one came to the table again to ask if we wanted anything more or coffee. When we went to the cashier the bill was already ready. See you never again!

Strategic place on the Genoa pier, very good but quite expensive pizza. Especially the gluten-free menu (1/3 of the menu for everyone) is scarce and very expensive... but as usual celiacs always pay more in money and taste of food.
It would be nice to have the exact same menu also available in the gluten-free version given the price paid.

Excellent restaurant, near the old port, with traditional dishes and more. Many gluten-free options (and I'm not talking about the usual salad or steak, which are already gluten-free, I'm talking about pizzas, traditional first courses including trofie with pesto, or casonsei with walnut sauce, pizzas, second courses and desserts). I highly recommend the trofie with octopus and taggiasca olives, which I really liked.
Charming spot with a beautifully designed interior and exterior, offering unique, thicker pizzas that stand out from the usual.

I ate a gluten-free pizza which I found good, but a little bland compared to the tomato sauce. It's the second time I've come and I've always had a good time with celiac disease. As regards the service, the owner or manager of the room was a bit rude when we asked for the table, 5/10 minutes before the actual reservation. We arrived early and thought about asking if he was already free, but instead we received an answer that left us on the verge of leaving: "you have booked at 9pm, so come back in 10 minutes". A little rude I would say.
Anyway, the waiters were efficient and fast.

Really nice restaurant aesthetically, facing the sea, and above all equipped for gluten-free!! something very unobtainable in the first areas of Liguria coming from Milan!
Friendly staff and very helpful and kind!
Quick and really good food!
We took the pizza (normal), very soft dough and really tasty (I who usually discard the crust ate that too ;))
my celiac boyfriend ate really well too, very soft focaccia (as you know it's difficult with gluten-free to be very soft) it almost didn't seem sg
the desserts are all gluten-free and the entire menu can be transformed into sg
Highly recommended and definitely coming back!

Very tasty food. We ordered gluten-free pasta and were immediately delivered gluten-free bread (the waiter thinks along with it 😀). For the lamb dish, sauce was added at the place. Extra small bowl for the olive oil with the bread. Very stylish, but also correspondingly expensive. But it was worth it!

Excellent restaurant and pizzeria offering many different options suitable for all needs. The pizzas, with excellent quality ingredients, are made in three different formats (the peel one is highly recommended!), and several gluten-free ones are also available. The restaurant menu is very varied, and offers the possibility of dining with meat or first courses. The staff is very courteous and attentive to customer requests; the venue has several rooms and is therefore also suitable for large groups. If you are looking for a place to dine in the heart of the historic center that can satisfy everyone, you will not be disappointed here!

If you don't want to feel bad, go somewhere else.
Mediocre "normal" pizzas, tasteless cereal pizza and gluten-free pizza that literally made you want to throw up, burnt underneath but raw, tasted like wet bread. I ate the first two slices because I'm against food waste but halfway through the second slice I had to leave it on the plate, it was eaten by others precisely so as not to throw it away. After about twenty minutes I had to go to the bathroom to throw up (and I went several times), the old waiter approached the table to eavesdrop on what we were saying about it, in all of this he had an arrogant and rude behavior for the whole evening, even before feeling bad. They went to ask to make me a tea because I felt bad from the pizza and I couldn't stand up and they even made me pay for it. Terrible experience, I'm surprised they're still open because all the celiac people I know have felt bad after eating there. There are plenty of other good places that don't try to poison you, do yourself a favor and avoid.
A welcoming spot with delicious, highly digestible pizza and friendly vibes, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family.

I ordered a gluten-free pizza the other night via deliveroo. The pizza was very good, the ingredients (eggplant and cacioricotta if I'm not mistaken) very good, of excellent quality. It was really worth it, it didn't feel like glutenfeee. I would also like to point out the very kind and nice staff: I ordered through deliveroo
1) in addition to the gluten-free pizza, I had requested french fries. They had the foresight to call me to warn me that there could be contamination since it was French fries and they wanted to make sure that it was okay for me. Much appreciated this, they could have not called me
2) I had politely asked them to let me know when they were about to deliver (so I could leave the hotel for collection) and they called me shortly before
Very positive experience, I will definitely order again in the next few days🤪
Ps I didn't have time to take a photo because the pizza was delicious.

I had a very good time!
Dear, to the point, I didn't wait long, I must say that the gluten-free pizza is exaggerated!!!!! Then I read that they make the dough themselves with selected gluten-free flours! Many choices and particular flavours, I would have tasted them all...Really delicious, I think I've never eaten such good ones, all the pizzerias have the dough ready, just to be filled... I also drank the craft beer from their area, that was good too. They have many gluten-free desserts!!! There too I was spoiled for choice! I would have taken them all because they were very original and never eaten!!!! Then I opted for the "jar" i.e. caramelized pears, biscuit and walnut crumble, mascarpone cream and cinnamon! Without words!!!
Congratulations indeed!!!! I recommend it, I didn't find any defects!!!! I also liked eating in the square and also the beautiful place!!!
I will definitely return with my partner who lives in the area…

Unfortunately disappointing experience in this tavern. Young waiters, okay, but inexperienced; they brought the first courses before the appetizers, the wine arrived a quarter of an hour after the glasses, with the meal almost over. The gluten free option is appreciated, however there is a lack of vegan options (as a lactose intolerant I found milk and derivatives in almost all the fish-based dishes). Pleasant environment, in a basement room inside a historic building, dominated by an imposing vault. Average prices, but decidedly high considering the service. Poor wine list, with a poor choice of Ligurian wines, of which only one red can be ordered by the glass and this was absolutely not worth the price.

Outdoor lunch in the square. Wide variety of pasta literally available "in all sauces". I had really good spaghetti with seafood, Nicoise salad and baby tomato pasta (a little high in salt but delicious). TOP homemade desserts made by the owner's mother (in particular the gluten-free chocolate cake) which deserves, if not the naming of the square, at least that of a street in Finalborgo. Service a little slow but friendly, dark interior, if you can have lunch in the square. Still recommended.
