Love City O’ City, been coming here for over 15 years. The food is top notch, service is great, and we beat the morning brunch rush by arriving at 10 o’clock on a Saturday. Met a dear friend there for our last breakfast before she moved out of state. Nice to know this place is still doing well. Had the chicken and waffles…it was delicious and gluten-free.
A lively happy hour destination with an impressive range of options and fantastic cocktails that perfectly complement your experience.

Great spot for happy hour! And lots of options too. If you’re gluten free - ask for their separate gluten free menu (love to see it!)
We did the Sunday all day happy hour and were so excited to try a few new things. It’s still pricey but worth it ☺️

Stopped by for tacos and bottomless mimosas for a lunch and was impressed with the gluten free/celiac options! Will definitely be bringing friends here for happy hour and great food!
A lively spot with an impressive beer selection and top-notch happy hour deals, but could use a cheerier bar ambiance.

Let me share the good stuff first. The staff is very hard working. The hostess greeted us immediately and was friendly. The food looked good and tasted ok to great. There was a bathroom. We were excited to go bc the one in our area shut down. They have a nice drink selection. The non-alcoholic beverages were great. The service was strong. Now on to the story.
We were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, and we could wait at the bar or upstairs. We sat at the bar, but the overworked bar tender told us we could not for drinks as not everyone was 21. OK. Outside it is. After about 30-40 minute wait our table was ready.
Why was there a wait? Well, the hostess was our server and the one cleaning the tables. They were understaffed. No worries, it happens. There was only one bartender, so drinks would be slow. The food would be a bit to get there, which makes sense given staffing.
The food looked good. The meatball sub was bland and a little overcooked. Tots were mushy. Neither teenager liked their pizza. The gluten-free pizza looked good and tasted good. However, shortly after, 3 out of 4 were not feeling well. I am not sure if it was the pear cider or the GF pizza, but I had a bad reaction after it. This would be a gluten reaction that is painful and takes a long while to recover. This was around a 2 hour affair, not including wait time. One more thing, just like a lot of places, the prices are much much higher than before. But not abnormal for the area.
I really hope the place turns around and everyone has a better food experience than us. I am sorry to leave a poor review. I normally do not leave reviews like this.

Even though the service was just OK and a bit slow, the food was amazing!
Ceviche had tons of lime and just enough spice level. I wish it came with avocado.
The chilaquiles were crunchy (as they should) and the eggs runny but well cooked on the outside.
The tacos de carnitas were good too, the meat was tender and tasted great.
All three plates gluten free!
Price is also fair.
Kudos to the chef!

Anise is one of my absolute favorite restaurants here in Denver as a vegan who also eats gluten free. I get the tofu spring rolls every time (the sauce it comes with is RIDICULOUSLY good), and either the vegan tofu pho or the tofu special which comes with rice noodles, a bunch of greens including scallions and cilantro, and of course delicious fried tofu. I get take out from this place usually at least once every two weeks. It is truly my comfort food.
A cozy spot that's worth the trek, offering top-notch service, accommodating staff, and a popular selection of sweet treats.

An Absolute Must, Even in a Snowstorm!
10/10—would trek through a blizzard again for this experience! After hauling our snowboards and bags several blocks through the snow, we arrived cold and hungry, and wow, was it worth every step. The staff was incredibly accommodating, offering a safe spot to stash our gear so we could settle in and enjoy our meal stress-free.
Now, let’s talk food—because oh my god. Their gluten-free options aren’t just good; they’re phenomenal. The gluten-free pasta? Perfection. The gluten-free burger buns? Fluffy and delicious. And the gluten-free cheesecake? Life-changing. If you’re worried about missing out on flavor, don’t be. The four-cheese pasta from the lunch menu was so rich and satisfying, it left me happily stuffed.
If you’re debating whether to go—just do it. Snow, rain, or shine, this place is absolutely worth the journey!

First time dining here tonight and had a lovely experience! Wanted a late night bite that was quality food and it really
hit the spot :) My partner is gluten free and they had a separate menu with options for him which was awesome. Matthew C. took care of us and provided exceptional service along with good conversation. He was so wonderful! Will definitely be coming back!

My first time there we went with friends and the restaurant came recomended. It’s a nice restaurant in downtown Denver. Nice atmosphere to the place and the service was really great. The main down side as a vegetarian there are basically no options. I didn’t see anything for vegan or gluten free etc. I was told by the waitress the they could ask the chef if he could throw me together some pasta. Hmm that sounds so appealing especially at those prices! Very odd that a place doesn’t cater to dietary restrictions this day and age. Most restaurants are very accommodating so that was very unfortunate.
Charming neighborhood vibe with top-notch pizza; quality and flavor shine despite a bit of a wait for slices during busy times.

Wait time was a bit long. It's a bunch of premade pizzas that you line up and buy a slice and then they warm it up for you. Tasted pretty good, had gluten free options (not already prepared but to be made fresh), staff were cool. Evening line was long and moved fairly slow for what it was.
A warm and inviting spot that goes all out to make every visit memorable, perfect for celebrating special occasions.

This restaurant absolutely made our day! From the greeter to our server/bartender to the delicious food: we felt so taken care of and welcome. We had gluten free pizza and panini and both tasted like the real deal. Our server, Marcella, really made the experience special, and she helped us celebrate my daughter’s birthday in style. We will definitely be back again!

I’m so glad we stumbled on Mario’s Pizza! We had a group in town for a kids dance competition at the convention center. We needed to feed 25 people in a short time frame between a performances. I called Julie a couple days in advance and was able to coordinate delivery. It showed up hot and right on time. The pizzas are big, and our group raved about good the food was. You can tell they use quality ingredients in their pies. They even had a gluten free option for us. If you are looking for pizza in downtown Denver, definitely check these guys out. Thanks Julie! Our kids tummies were stuffed!
Snooze on Broadway is our go to place for breakfast and for my mom, most everything on the menu can be made gluten free. The Gluten free pancakes are delicious ❣️

The food was delicious!! Andrew was a dream waiter! He had really good recommendations. We felt like he really cared too! They accommodated my gluten allergy too! We also met Noah the bartender, wow! Great drinks! We were so happy!
