We had a party of 8 over a weekday lunch. It was surprisingly busy, but we didn't have trouble getting seated. There was a wide selection of menu options and all very tasty. They have a whole separate gluten free menu! The options including spicy flavours (like gochujang) weren't very spicy, but the ingredients were all very fresh. The nachos got rave reviews at our table. (We had nachos, fish tacos, tuna poke bowls, Santa fe chicken bowls, tomato soup)
A hidden gem in Guelph with a lively atmosphere and a great mix of dishes that everyone seems to love; arrive early for parking!

Made a reservation for a table for 7 at 5:30pm on a Wednesday to celebrate a friend's retirement. I let the server know that 2/7 of the party needed gluten free options, which were noted on the menu. Once our party all arrived, ordered & were enjoying cocktails, she brought out 2 plates of bread with olive oil. I asked if either were gluten free, to which she replied no. I asked if she could bring a plate of gluten free & she said it would take 15 minutes, suggesting to me our food was on its way, so I declined. After 1¾hr, I had to ask where our order was. Of course, in 2 minutes. We finally got our meals at close to 8pm. Yes, they were busy but we didn't order anything that required long periods of cooking - most of our mains were salads. Very disappointing experience. Won't be back.
A cozy spot with a great atmosphere, amazing milkshakes, and plenty of tasty options to keep you coming back for more.

I found out this morning that I was diagnosed with celiac disease, I was so overwhelmed not knowing what I could and could not eat... but I'm so thankful for places like the crazy carrot for carrying such a variety of gluten free meals and drinks that are so tasty! The staff was a great help today as well in guiding me to what was right for me!

Atmosphere is great, and the food you get is delicious. Communication between kitchen and waitstaff is a mess. My ordered drink didn’t get into the system. An item labelled gf the waitress said had gluten, then gf, once I’d decided what else to try. So I ordered the first item and it came on a regular bun and they were out of gf buns. Kids meals are advertised to come with dessert which wasn’t offered or delivered. My partner and kids’ food was really nice, server was friendly and I enjoyed my salad.
Expect a must-visit spot with a great vibe, accommodating service, and a menu that's got something for everyone to enjoy!

We enjoyed the food, the fact that we the seating is spacious and comfortable. MJ was a great server; offered options, gave advice, helped us choose our choices. I am celiac and the chef at this location has always gone above and beyond for my dietary needs requirements. A five star experience 9/10.

This place surprised me! I assumed that their desserts were going to be the usual unimpressive coffee chain desserts. I was wrong. Wow, their almond cookie was amazing! Don't miss this one! This place was hopping with customers. They have fair trade and organic products. They encourage eco-friendliness.
Vegan/Gluten Free: They have desserts for you!
Non coffee drinkers: They have a raspberry hot chocolate and hot apple cider!
Bakery items: They source their bakery items either exclusively or mostly from two bakeries.
Noise level: It isn't super quiet, and it isn't loud.
Dining options: Indoor or takeout.

The high tea is absolutely lovely!!! An amazing selection of teas along with delicious finger sandwiches, scones, and assorted pastries, with some fruit. It's more than enough for one person (I'm always stuffed!), and the gluten-free option is crazy tasty! Fabulous service as well. I highly recommend it for an enjoyable afternoon.

Overall a solid breakfast choice. Lots of selection, vegan & gluten free options. The place is busy so service is a little slow. The staff is friendly. The robo-waiter plays Happy Birthdy the whole time. Decent food choices, a bit pricey but it hits the breakfast spot for sure!

The food is comforting and delicious. Flavors are well balanced and the service is very personal. It is hard to find gluten free and dairy free desserts, Andy's Squash custard is a slice of tropical heaven. My friend had the tiramisu, soft, fluffy and melts in your mouth. Must try and will be back.

A great mother's day dinner! Amazing pizza and the best gluten free pizza so far!
Great for kids too! Our nephew loved their mac and cheese and the bambino pizza was quite big!
Love the atmosphere and rustic appeal!
We were visiting Guelph and happened upon this restaurant--It is hard to find Keto and Gluten Free food sometimes. We loved this place so much we ate there both nights of our stay! Incredible and tempting selections--I am hungry just thinking about it! They happily accommodated our order to make it keto. Amazing taste combinations. I wish there was one in Peterborough. Go--run don't walk!
Eggcetra Guelph is a popular place. We visited on a weekday morning just before 9am and had to wait a few minutes for a table. The friend that I dined with frequents this establishment and easily helped me source items that were suitable for me as a gluten free vegan.
He chose The Classic, and I assembled a meal by combining sides. Both plates arrived quickly, the food was hot and service was efficient.
The Guelph location is cosy and though there is room for the servers to move between tables, it would be quite challenging to bring in a stroller or mobility aide.
The location is on a strip that is serviced by public transit and which offers parking.
About this place, my friend joked (but wasn't really joking): it's a popular spot ...expect to wait, and when you are done move on - someone's likely to be waiting for your spot.
The baked beans were ok, the homefries were great!
This hidden gem offers a diverse menu with generous portions and exceptional service, making it a top spot for brunch lovers.

Shine Family Restaurant is a hidden gem! Their breakfast and lunch menu offers something for everyone, including delicious vegan and gluten-free options. The food and coffee are great, and portions are generous. We had the Lumberjack and the traditional breakfast. But what really stands out is the exceptional service - friendly, fast, and attentive. Special shoutout to our server Heidi, who went above and beyond with her recommendations.
Celebrated for its fun ambiance with a great patio and speedy service, even when packed; a hit with both adults and kids.

Worst Gluten free pasta EVER, shocking that they want $45 for such poor seafood linguine. Apparently they were trying a new GF dough recipe, have to wonder if the chef actually tastes his own food. Ended up eating a Caprese salad for dinner, I wouldn't trust this place for anything gluten-free. They offered to comp my meal, but they didn't take it off the bill. Took another 10 minutes to get it right. Really slow service, parking is terrible. Note, the food my family had was actually pretty good. Maybe worth taking a chance on this place if you don't have food allergies, and you have like 2 hours for dinner.
A long-standing downtown gem perfect for a lively night out with friends, offering a fantastic drink menu and a fun pub vibe.

First time dining at The Wooly, and will also be the last.
Made reservations and got a nice table for four people in a cozy room next to a portable fireplace. When the lights went dim, service staff offered a magnifier with light for my mother which was a nice touch and appreciated. Environment was welcoming and friendly. Staff appeared to be aware of the patrons and safety-conscious, which is why the experience was ultimately so upsetting.
I ordered the Smokey BBQ Burger on a Gluten Free bun, with a side of fries. The server took the time to point out that the fries were not cooked in a separate fryer from other gluten-containing items, which was a green flag that he understood why I was asking for the special bun, and that he took the request seriously.
When the food arrived, the Burger looked fantastic. It looked and felt like a real "normal" bun, which is exceedingly rare for a Gluten Free bun. This should have been my first clue. The taste should have been my second. It tasted fantastic, just like real bread. I should have stopped right there. It may have been too late, but I should have notified the server that this was almost certainly real bread. It was way too good to be true. Instead, my hunger, instincts, maybe my trust, or perhaps just desire to eat some real carbs again took over and the burger was devoured before I knew it.
As I settled and noticed my stomach starting to.. misbehave, I glanced around at some of my fellow diners. Some of them had burgers or chicken burgers. The buns looked exactly like mine. A sense of dread crept up on me. I held out hope that this still wasn't the case, that perhaps the Wooly had created the greatest, most authentic Gluten Free hamburger bun the world has seen.
As we left the Pub the feeling in my stomach got worse. And when we arrived at our evening event at the Sleeman Centre (Wooly is within close proximity and about a 7 minute walk), my experience was soon interrupted by some particularly unpleasant time alone in the facilities that confirmed what had indeed happened. While I hesitate to mention any details, the after-effects carried over well into the next day and the suffering continues.
I accept a great deal of responsibility for what happened and what I consumed, but I leave this as a warning to individuals who may have allergy concerns, dietary restrictions, or other needs with their food. I wanted to love the Wooly, and although there were no other concerns with the experience, this mistake is a very, very big one, could potentially be life-threatening to some, and it's a mistake that just can't be made in a modern kitchen.
When dining inside, there is plenty of room, you do not feel crammed in, it feels like its just you and your party! They have lots of Gluten free options, and lots of different menu options that you won't find elsewhere! I would highly recommend!
Expect a cozy hangout spot with awesome drink choices, a vibrant local vibe, but tables might feel a bit tight for easy access.

This cafe was recommended. Cute exterior. Cozy interior decor with art on walls and lots of windows. Service was good. Gluten free brownie was small and lacked flavour and freshness. Both the chai latte and the regular latte were very good. Next time we are in Guelph we’ll return, and recommend to others.
Expect hearty portions and a lively vibe, but be ready for limited vegetarian choices and mixed reviews on taste.

I will keep this simple, it's a fun place, lots of different kinds of beers! Some whiskeys too. The burger was good, not sure why people go crazy about it. My wife had a great gluten free bun with it. Bottom line, good times to be had at Baker Street. I recommend it.
Delicious food with great seafood options, classic options & platters. Beautiful Mediterranean interior & energy. Good service & best of all big portions! Go hungry! They have vegetarian options (possibly vegan) but must ask about gluten free options.
Expect a warm atmosphere with an array of unique options that make it a must-visit—just be sure to snag a reservation!

Michael the server was amazing. Very knowledgeable on gluten & dairy free requirements. Extremely friendly, and created an amazing experience. Welcoming from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. He gave great recommendations for appetizers, entrees, wine and desert. Highly recommend. Make a reservation.
Great experience tonight. The girl that took my order was so nice and patient with me despite having to exchange my order cause I forgot to ask for no gluten!

I was very disappointed when I arrived at the restaurant to discover the many gluten free options on the menu were not gluten free at all. We had limited time available, and I thought I was choosing a spot that took food allergies seriously. False advertising. People with serious food allergies are always looking for safe places to eat out.....this place is NOT one of them.
With handmade Aussie decor and a cozy vibe, this spot shines with attention to detail and even has a yoga studio out back for added bliss.

Popped into Found today for the first time and had such a sweet experience. The place is clean and well decorated; seriously the attention to detail is really something special. Down to the cups and plates that are handmade in Australia just for the buisness! The barista was so kind to help my partner and I pick out drinks and snacks with our dietary restrictions (he's gluten and dairy free and i'm allergic to caffiene). The cherry on top of it all is the yoga studio in the back, which I've yet to go to (since this was my first time here) but definetly plan to! You can just tell that a lot of love and care is put into each aspect of the business.
The food was okay.
Minus my French fries being cold, and the waitress admitting that the chef was not impressed for me asking for my garlic bread being on gluten free hamburger buns..
At 5pm they turned the music up so loud , I started speaking German in a France Norwegian accent.
We didn't know how to tip because there were in total 6 servers for our table.
Then, because their communication was so wonderful - two different servers provided us with pop at the exact same time.
Super awkward and completely unorganized.
It can be hard to find a place downtown with reasonably priced beverages and food. Not only is the price decent, but the atmosphere is classy and relaxed. They also had gluten free macaroons and rice pudding available. Staff were polite and friendly, however, they do not take debit and one has to take out cash through the ATM next to the counter which charges $1.50. I will definitely come again, but I will be sure to bring money.
We live on the other side of town, almost 30min away, so our first trip out to the relatively new-to-Guelph eatery was only just a few months ago. We were able to find a variety of gluten free and vegan options. Our server worked very hard to ensure our meal adhered to our dietary restrictions and our meal was aromatic, and flavoured and tempered to our request for a mild 'heat setting'. Overall, it was quite nice and the food came out of the kitchen in good time.
We went early in the afternoon, like 2:00 or 3:00, and there was ample parking and ample seating.
This is our favorite place to go for Saturday morning breakfast. Always feel welcome! Always someone ready to fill your cup with good coffee! We love all the different food choices for breakfast! Uptown Omelette is my absolute favorite & they also have my gluten free toast that I need. Waitresses are always friendly & helpful & always ask how the meal is. Really feel taken care of here. Its a great place to share a breakfast with family, friends even grandkids! We introduced this place to my 10 & 13yr old grandkids & this is now their new favorite place to breakfast with grandma & grampa!! We just love this place! Thats why we keep going back! We always look forward to our breakfast date here!! Hope you enjoy as much as we do!! Enjoy!! And thanks to everyone at The Uptown Grille!!!

The food was good, however, if you have dietary restrictions, it was really hard to eat here. I eat gluten dairy free, and it was difficult to find something on the menu. And when I did they were out of that item. Just make sure you can be flexible if you have dietary issues.
