Really enjoyed our meal here. Staff are brilliant, and their gluten-free options are delicious. I had the sea bass, which was great. Cocktails are a little sweet for my liking. I removed a star as the ladies' toilets were out of service, but otherwise, it was faultless.

Has a separate gluten free menu with items clearly labelled as being on set menu. Good set up in this regard. I really enjoyed my meal, but found the servings somewhat inconsistent. 3 of us had the beef rump, and all were different sizes and cooked differently, meaning some of my party did not enjoy their meals as much. Good cocktails and starters/desserts were nice. Waiting staff very accommodating.

We organized a Christmas dinner at Ceasars with my students, an international group from different countries, over the weekend, and it was absolutely fantastic! Although the restaurant was quite busy, and the staff took great care of us. Among my students, there were those with gluten-free and vegan dietary requirements, and every single order was prepared and served with such care, precision, and efficiency. I want to extend my special thanks to the staff for their outstanding service despite the crowd. The food was simply amazing! Everyone was delighted. Ceasars is undoubtedly the go-to place in York for delicious pizza and pasta varieties. And the homemade tiramisu? Absolutely perfect! Ceasars will definitely be our first choice for future events. Had a really lovely time at Zizzi’s in York. Our waitress Liv helped us when we were unsure on what to order as one of our friends has a gluten intolerance. She had patience and ran through all the options with him and made our experience amazing. The food we received was excellent and we are definitely returning when we visit York again ☺️

We went at the beginning of April, it was 2 adults and a toddler. We arrived for lunch time without booking and we just had to wait a few minutes. Needed gluten free options and they were happy to accomodate, advising us whether something might have través of gluten. I had the Persian eggs and my partner the chicken shawarma, toddler needed gluten free option. Everything was delicious and the place quite lovely. I would definitely recomend.

The food was fantastic. We all had pizzas and one was a gluten free base. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Incredibly dog friendly. The outside seating area is luxurious with wicker arm chairs covered in faux sheepskin and cushions; bunting galore and creative/abstract and fun decoration. Definitely will visit again.

I was looking for somewhere close to the Barbican as we were attending a show there and didn’t want to drive home in potentially poor weather in December. I knew the Rose and Crown was close and had a quick look at reviews; I was won over very quickly by glowing reviews of both the accommodation and the food. I loved everything about the Rose and Crown - big room with a spacious en-suite, lovely fluffy towels, lots of easily accessible sockets, ample tea and coffee supplies and a very comfortable bed. The food was delicious with gluten free and vegan options. I had a difficult time deciding what to eat; I opted for a cheeseburger with gluten free bread, but the leek and celeriac pie with a jug of cheese sauce was very tempting. The burger came with the Rose and Crown signature chips ( the size of fishfingers!) Breakfast was also delicious and included in the price of the night’s stay. There was a good selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurt in addition to the cooked options. Tea, coffee and 3 fruit juices were also available. I opted for a full English breakfast with gluten free toast; it was so big I couldn’t manage it all, orange juice and a pot of tea. The staff were all lovely; Christopher is a great host.

14th December York really really busy, we dropped in on the off chance, no reservation the restaurant was really busy, the staff were amazing against all the odds found us a table , The menu was amazing, vegetarian, pescatarian gluten free and vegan, all our requirements were met in full , the team were attentive informative but not intrusive. Nothing was a problem.the food was full of flavour and the best fresh ingredients. We would highly recommend this restaurant for its atmosphere it’s menu and it’s staff and the costs are on point We will be back Thankyou

A fab pub in York! Lovely settings, friendly and helpful staff, tasty food and generous portion sizes! Also a great selection of gluten free beers (and the food all clearly marked GF). Would deffo recommend!

Staff were great, accommodated a party of 6, always busy and buzzing. They accommodate gluten free which is great (bake their own bread) - no hash browns unfortunately which is a little strange for a classic brunch spot. Don't expect anything flash, just good honest grub.

Very good gluten free options on all menus. We were staying at the hotel so had a breakfast as well as dinner. The food was excellent and they were able to cater very well to my gluten free diet.

We visited the three cups yesterday and I was impressed, the staff went out of there way to accommodate my requirements, being gluten free they made sure that my needs were met without any fuss, the staff didn't make me feel I was being a pain, food was lovely and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. Won’t answer the phone at all, just hang up on us 10 times. We ordered a take away and can’t eat anchovies or cows cheese so we rang to edit the order and no one answered. Customer services can’t ring through for you and the app does not allow you to customise your order unless it’s ’vegan Or gluten free’. Very disappointing. We’re loyal customers and we’re just giving up on pizza express now as it’s such a ballache place to order in or from if you can’t eat certain foods … we’ve now spent over £40 on an order we can’t eat (and can’t cancel) because their website advises contacting the branch you order from after an order is placed and not before! Cheers guys !

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, incredible food with an exciting menu and huge portions and a reasonable price.Felt safe ordering GF food as staff very knowledgeable about cross contamination and there is a dedicated gluten free fryer and a separate gluten free menu. We ended up eating there three times during our stay in York and we will DEFINITELY be back!
