I had some good food, but didn’t feel confident about cross contamination. I was told the fries were gluten free, then told oh- is it okay they are fried in shared fryer with gluten. After a Broadway show, I had the pleasure of dining at La Masseria, and it was an absolute 5-star experience. We sat in the loft area toward the back, where the service was nothing short of phenomenal—attentive, warm, and truly top-tier.
We started with the stuffed eggplant with smoked mozzarella, which was simply to die for. For my entrée, I had the gluten-free penne pasta (without bacon), and my friend enjoyed the large rigatoni pasta with short rib ragout—both dishes were cooked to perfection. Both of my daughters have Celiac disease so you can't imagine how thrilled they were to find out that we could get gluten free pizza on our last night in NYC. They took such great care in keeping gluten out of our pizzas. They even included our own little pizza cutter in each box so cross contamination wouldn't happen. We could easily walk there from our hotel in Times Square. We got a call when our pizza was ready. The pizza was wonderful, too!
