We stopped for brunch, and the meal was very good. They have gluten free options for food, which were as good as the non GF ones. Great service too, and went through all the GF options patiently.

The billboard promise of a dairy-free, gluten-free chocolate orange torte drew me in for a sweet bite and a coffee. Was glad I stopped. Really enjoyed the ambience, the off-peak hours service was still welcoming and a few quiet moments off the busy high street. Dear Sir/ Madam,
My partner and I attended your restaurant yesterday afternoon around 4pm. We had not a booking but your helpful manager found as a table. We were given menus, and couldn't see a gluten free option, so I went to the manager and he supplied one. At this point I must point out that my partner is a Celiac and is very gluton intolerant indeed. We were really pleased that you had a large extensive menu. We choose large Nachos to share, which were lovely, but we both stated they tasted like the real thing. We then had fajitas to share with steak strips. My partner had the gluten free ones, which we could see. These were lovely too. We throughly enjoyed the meal and payed the bill of £95.00. We then left but almost straight away my partner felt really sick, and really needed a toilet quickly as her stomach had reacted to gluten. We managed to get to a toilet, but she was extremely ill and hence we had to get home and so our day was ruined. We know she was giving gluten by her reaction and we think your restaurant gave us the wrong Nachos. This is a serious matter as a person whom is extremely gluten intolerant can be extremely ill or in some cases worse. I am informing you of this matter because it needs addressing in case it happens again.

Firstly, atmosphere is 10/10, cats are absolutely adorable. Secondly, there is quite a variety of food, we ordered fudgy choco-coconut tart, loaded flapjack and some waffles and we were absolutely amazed by how good they are, bare in mind that they really care about gluten-free and quality of food. Last but not least, service, absolutely immaculate, I cannot recommend this place more, it's a must if you go to Canterbury.
Also please read the house rules because they really really care about the cute cats, and if you go there, you should too!

Bit of a late review but went for a valentines day dinner. Cocktails were amazing ! Great gluten free options. Wasn't the greatest fan of the layout for the day as we were very close to other couples and struggled pulling chairs out as we was back to back. The pub's menu is misleading. It doesn't show or emphasize that they have great gluten free options. They can make most of their food options gluten free for you. They have gluten free bread and buns. They are also lovely people and try to work with you to find a meal you can eat and be happy with.
Their parsnip soup is to die for. Great gluten free burgers! Their chips is not GF but they can make you sauté potato instead. Their torte is a yummy dessert.
Just an overall nice pub with friendly staff and great homemade pub food.

Stayed here for one night over the weekend. Travelled up for the day out in the town then dinner and drinks at the hotel. Sleep the night and had breakfast before traveling home. My wife is a coeliac and the hotel was so helpful plenty of options for her to have and the food was amazing. The staff were so helpful and made the whole experience amazing
