We needed an early lunch for the road, so got take out here. I ordered the lasagna and it was not good at all in my opinion. First, it looked gray and flat. I promise I took that picture in the sun and tried to make it look as good as possible. Second, it was small, especially for $20: there were only two layers of pasta, so it wasn't thick, and it wasn't that large a slice. Third, it tasted about as good as it looked. (I didn't realize it was gluten free, but that's probably why the pasta was especially disappointing.) I will say the biscuits and gravy were redeeming (despite being not a great take-out food). The root vegetable hash tofu scramble was bland: I suspect the tofu was flavored only with a bit of turmeric and salt, perhaps. We added two packets of cholula and then added salsa to give it some flavor.

They have the most delicious looking cakes here! I couldn’t choose what flavor I wanted immediately because everything looked so good. I ended up getting the lemon dome cake, which had amazing whipped frosting. I heard their chocolate cakes were very popular. They also have gluten free options here.

Best sushi I have ever had. I cannot recommend this place enough. The service was impeccable and they were extremely accommodating of my gluten allergy- even making extra dishes gluten free so the table can share.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary last night and they did not disappoint. We had our favorite calamari and shared the wings also, nice and crispy. We shared the tenderloin beef bowl and the trio pad Thai. Every dish is delicious. Hector was an amazing and attentive server. We had a nice quiet corner to ourselves. We will continue to enjoy this local treasure. Love that they offer gluten free dishes.

Our family of four went here. Our 12 year old is gluten intolerant. The food was amazing and nearly the whole menu could be made gluten free. The highlights were the cabbage main and the cold pea soup. Both wee unique and delicious. The only downside is that the kitchen is small and the food takes a while to- expect to spend 90 minutes getting appetizers and dinner. Worth it though!

4/16/25: breakfast with a friend. The outdoor seating area in this restaurant is borderline magical. Somehow, even though dozens of people are seated in this small space, it still felt like it was just the two of us. If the service was spotty, and the food just okay, the atmosphere would still somehow make this place excellent. But good news! The service is 4 out of 5 stars, and the food is scrumptious. There seems to be a small army of servers who somehow danced around the tight space, keeping water glasses full and checking on diners. I enjoyed a gluten-free omelette that surprisingly came with some regular bread. The server happily replaced it with gluten-free bread quickly. I also enjoyed French press coffee. This is a busy restaurant, but I give them props for developing an efficient system regarding the waitlist and notification when the table is ready. They suggested a 35 minute wait, but it ended up being like 15. My tip is to not be afraid of a long line. You will probably be seated quickly, and a short wait is definitely worth it.

Food was absolutely delicous. I was dissapointed they didn't have gluten free buns, so went with the kale bowl, which I fell in love with. They did have gluten free vegan mac and cheese, which was delicous surprise. Prices are great and food is plant based, which is nice to find.

Our first visit to Copley’s was a pleasant surprise. We sat outside in January surrounded by heaters, plants and people. I did wish I had dressed a little warmer. Our server was efficient, helpful and even a little fun. The food was fantastic. Imagine my gluten-free delight when the Caesar Salad came with croutons made out of pineapple (« traces of tropical »). As the former home of Cary Grant, the inside is filled with different nooks and crannies. Overall a very special evening.

We felt so welcomed by everyone in the restaurant. The patio is heated. The food was excellent. There's something for everyone on the menu, even vegan and gluten free.

Loved this spot! We polled several locals for their favorite brunch spots and almost everyone mentioned Jake's, so we knew we had to try it. It has more of a boutique/homey feel than some other places, and everyone working was extremely nice. Food and drinks also came out very fast. We got the short rib Benedict and lobster roll without a roll (GF, of course!), plus a side of fries. All were super good. I also had a rosie margarita, which was very pretty and not cloyingly sweet. We ordered a couple desserts to go - they had several gluten free baked goods, so I was really happy. One of the slices of cake (not GF) was as big as our heads... wild. Definitely stop by this place when you're in town. I recommend not driving as their drink menu is very extensive and everything looked great; would've loved to have another if we weren't driving home right after!

The service was fast and efficient! We had a group of ten, and they were happy to serve us. The food was very good. We especially liked the tacos and guacamole. The beans are vegetarian, so it’s easy to find vegetarian and gluten free options here!

Skip the apple pancakes and get the beignets instead! The beignets were light and fluffy, instead of the crispier churro texture that comes from most places when it's overcooked. Beignets are a 4.5 on a scale of 1-5. The crispy apple pancakes that they're known for were too sweet and needed a higher pancake to apple ratio. Crispy apple pancakes were a 2.5 on a 1-5 scale. California omelet was tasty. Not super amazing like I had hoped, but still very good. California Omelet was 3.75 on a 1-5 scale. I didn't like that the fruit that came with California Omelet, which was honeydew melon and canteloupe, with 4 grapes since I'm allergic to those melons, and they ran out of the gluten free muffin too. Since I can't have gluten I asked for bacon instead. They charged me a dollar for one slice of bacon, which is ridiculous. I also ordered a side of the cubed potatoes, which tasted good - 3.75 on a scale of 1-5. Overall we liked the food and will come back here when we're in town because the beignets were so good (the remarks on the beignets and crispy apple pancakes came from my husband since I couldn't eat them).

This place was great! They exceeded my expectations and while they don't advertise gluten free they had options so that I could enjoy my meal both for dinner and for brunch! Our server at dinner was outstanding, truly above and beyond. I'd certainly go back!

This place is the real deal. Finally we have a real Brazilian Steak house in Palm Springs. They do a phenomenal Picanha, just like they do in Brazil. Definitely worth a visit. Also a great option for people Gluten-Free like myself.

We were at Melvyn’s for New Year’s Eve at the second seating (9pm). The service was spotty and the meal was very average. The worst part was the dessert order. I am gluten free and the option on the menu that matched gf was crème brûlée, which I ordered. What they served me was chocolate mousse with cookie crumbles (not gf). I sent it back and said how it was not crème brûlée. They apologized and brought another chocolate mousse back out insisting that it was crème brûlée. I told the waiter that it was not and he finally said that he had heard that from other guests. Why not just tell me up front that you ran out of crème brûlée rather than gaslight me and other patrons. Overall the experience was very mediocre especially for the price we paid. Melvyn’s should do better.

I was so glad to find a very reasonably priced restaurant with American food...no fancy, overpriced California vegan, gluten free, blah, blah , blah food there! Huge menu to chose from & breakfast served all day! Great portion sizes too. I spent $26 on a regular no frills grilled cheese at a tourist trap bar 2 blks down from John's! The next day I found John's and bought a whole meal for $6 including drink. I did bring my food back to my hotel patio. As the ambiance is definately a priority there. Its an old school diner. Nothing fancy but good!

We have eaten some great meals in Palm Springs, but my family all agreed that our dinner at Crudo was the best so far. The menu is very interesting with a mix of raw and cooked dishes for every palate. My teenage daughter had a cheeseburger and fries, which she enjoyed. My husband had the grilled octopus with mole sauce, and I had the tamarind scallops. We also shared a salmon ceviche, which would have been a meal for someone on its own. The portion sizes were all very generous and we left more than satisfied. Our server was so helpful navigating the menu with my dietary restrictions (gluten and corn allergies). He even accommodated my request for cucumber slices instead of tortilla chips for the ceviche. We look forward to our next visit when we can return to try more dishes.

We just had dinner there last night and everything was wonderful. Josiah our served was fantastic, great recommendations and super knowledgable. Restaurant can be a bit boisterous during prime time but otherwise great. We ordered the schnitzel, deviled eggs and steak. Gluten free friendly as well.
