I have celiac. We came here while visiting Ashland because we had heard about the fried chicken, which was really good. However, I ordered a sandwich on gluten-free bread and it came on their rye bread. I ate it without thinking about it, but partway through realized it didn't seem like gluten-free bread. The server confirmed it was rye bread and sort of apologized. He took $2.40 off the cost of the sandwich, which seems insufficient for how sick I'm going to get. The fried chicken was amazing, but now I'm wondering how careful they are with that, since they don't seem to care about the sandwiches being gluten-free.

I always opt for the hand breaded chicken tenders and fries. Can't beat it, and it's gluten free, breaded in rice flour. The florless chocolate cake was ok, but was like a mousse/cheesecake, i wasn't expecting that. Service is always great, atmosphere is really what I go for!

I won’t go back. A year ago, the service was warm and genuine, the food was quite tasty, and it was easy to get gluten-free items. This time, I was met with scorn when I asked whether the GF pizza crust was safe for someone with a severe gluten allergy, the service was fake-nice, and the risotto was inedible (rice still raw in the middle, poor flavor profile, and a truly amazing dose of hot pepper flakes, which felt punitive. And I love hot food. Only upside: husband’s standard pizza was decent.

We came in search of the Celtic Jam, and tasted some delicious dishes while we enjoyed the music. The fish portion was huge and perfectly cooked, with good and garlicky fries, and the bacon wrapped dates were exquisite. Gluten free and vegetarian options are easily found on the menu. The employees there are friendly and professional, anticipating every need. I definitely recommend.

Seriously overpriced.
editing to add:
It cost me $19 to get a regular, drip coffee and the saddest sandwich I have ever seen. It was 4" long and wide (yes, I measured it, because it was that ridiculous), and had literally nothing but eggs and two sad bacon strips in it. For $16.
Context: I asked for gluten free bread (upcharge, of course, even though clearly it's less food), and no cheese since I'm lactose intolerant. Asked if I could get an extra egg or something because of no cheese? Nope, that's extra.
Even if they hadn't given me the saddest and most overpriced breakfast sandwich of all time, it was still just generic diner food. Very greasy, completely plain. There's a time and a place for good diner food, but not if you're charging regular restaurant rates for the equivalent of sit-down fast food.
This cozy spot features a warm, welcoming vibe with vibrant artwork and a great outdoor patio, creating an inviting atmosphere. The fantastic service ensures a comfortable experience, making it a top choice for those seeking gluten-free dining in a lively setting.

Not truly gluten-free!! NOT prepared/cooked separately from other dishes!!
We went here last night because my son’s girlfriend is highly gluten-intolerant and Caldera has several gluten-free dishes that are supposed to not only have gluten-free ingredients but also be prepared/cooked separately from gluten foods, to avoid cross-contamination.
Not so last night. Just 15 minutes after finishing her meal, my son’s girlfriend was doubled over in pain, feeling like thousands of tiny knives were stabbing her belly - which was so hard/distended she couldn’t zip her super-stretch jeans (at all). Her pain worsened and lasted all night, w/ no relief, and she’s still suffering the effects today.
Granted it was a Friday night, but not half as busy as the other 2 Friday nights I tried eating here. There was no waitlist, there were empty tables and booths and only a handful of patrons at the bar. But there is no excuse for causing someone this much pain, especially when claiming to be gluten-free, and certainly not at $21 for a 2-1/2 inch (no exaggeration) piece of salmon.
My son and I, blessed to be gluten-tolerant, each ordered a pizza, he the meat and I the margherita, both of which were horribly soggy and undercooked. His was literally raw in the middle and had to be sent back. My “crust” was completely limp and saturated in tomato juice. Starving, I ate it anyway (w/ a fork) without complaint or comment card, however, when my son’s girlfriend had her gluten reaction soon after leaving, I had to call and speak w/ the manager on duty.
I was clearly upset and clearly explained the situation, but he offered nothing to help make it right. He did apologize and assured me that they do take gluten seriously, but that obviously wasn’t our experience, so please er on the side of caution if you’re gluten-intolerant, especially if they’re busy!! (We, however, won’t be risking it again.)
This venue creates a welcoming atmosphere ideal for those seeking gluten-free options, with a space that encourages relaxation and socializing. The helpful staff enhance the experience by attentively addressing dietary needs, making it a comfortable spot despite limited menu choices.

Have been coming here since 2006 when we moved to Ashland. We usually take a card game and hang out for a while. The menu incorrectly indicates which options are gluten free, so be careful what you order. However, staff are usually helpful and will check with the kitchen. Alternative beverages like kombucha would be a nice addition for those of us that can't kick them back like they used to.
This intimate, plant-filled space offers a cozy, romantic atmosphere with heated outdoor patios and dreamy string lights, making it a perfect setting for those seeking gluten-free dining. The ambiance is 10 out of 10, complemented by attentive service and a welcoming vibe.
