Great restaurant! Fish was caught that day and the preparation was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife is allergic to gluten and they took it very seriously. Can’t wait to go back.
I ordered the shrimp burger and it was fabulous. My sister who is celiac and allergic to fish was with me. She ordered a simple burger patty, but as they make sure the grill was clean. They must’ve done just that because she enjoyed every bite and had no flareups. Really enjoyed this restaurant and we’ll go back to try something new next time.
It has 3 stars because my kids loved it they loved their food and had a great time. The website stated lots of gluten-free options but there was one option and it was sub par at best could only eat half
A small restaurant with great food! Everyone was friendly and it felt like eating at a friend's house with the small location and a rotation of people greeting each other. They had plenty of gluten free options and were happy to make any accommodations. The food was amazing!
Angel did an incredible job of answering all of my gluten allergy questions. He ensured that I felt safe with my meal and the service was wonderful! We truly enjoyed our experience and will be going back! There is no gluten free menu but most items are already gluten free. The chips are not gluten free but that was fine by me!
Went here for valentines, hands down the BEST Italian food I have had in the states. Amazing atmosphere and experience. Must try their risotto and their signature Bellini! Lots of gluten friendly options too!
No dine in at this location. We had two with celiac disease, they said could not make anything even though listed. They sent us to another location so we went twenty more min to go to their original location and they only had cauliflower crust though it was advertised that they had that and gluten free. Please don’t advertise if you can’t offer the service.

Great for beach side casual food and drinks. Staff very attentive and helpful. Made my gluten-free lunch enjoyable and were careful about cross contamination.
We are proud and frequent Landry’s members. Waited an hour for our food! Couldn’t find our waiter. Got water but no bread! Service at our table was sooo slow! Other waiters were working hard. I had to ask one to find our waiter. My husband ordered white rice off of the gluten free menu. Came out crunchy, not fully cooked. Put fried onion rings on my grandson’s gluten free taco plate. No gf bread at any Landry’s except Saltgrass…Why????? So very disappointed!
The food is amazing! Lots of gluten free options. I got the chicken pablano and it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Mihaela was really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
$7 will get you a huge breakfast burrito with your choice of filling, on homemade tortillas. This the only place I've ever eaten that will make a burrito on corn tortillas. Very helpful if you're #glutensensitive.
The service was friendly and helpful. I love supporting small businesses and it's even better when the food is great!
Loved this place, beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. They had lots of gluten free options and the staff sang Happy Birthday to my husband. Great raspberry mojito and cocktails..
This is a great spot to cool off and have a great meal. Chef Eric is one of Galveston' best! The burgers are excellent, and they gladly accommodate with gluten free options. Pricey? Yup. Spend the money. You only live once.
I liked the atmosphere of being at someone's house, especially with the relaxed way of ordering and sitting yourself, but the food was just okay. There were not very many gluten free options.
Fantastic Mexican food in an establishment that has been a long-time favorite of Galveston natives. HUGE portions of delicious Mexican classics. We had two gluten-free diners who had no trouble with the chicken enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce and rice and beans. Cheese enchiladas were delicious too. Queso and corn tortillas are gluten free. For GF, avoid the chips that are fried in oil and the chili gravy. otherwise you are good to go! Our daddy has the special dinner and ate every bit!! One of everything for those who cannot decide on one thing. Camarones are good, although the tomato sauce they are in has a bit too much sugar. Great place to go. Dine early because there is always a line.
Tried this place based upon other reviews. This is a local restaurant, not a chain. The place isn't fancy but the food is genuine and fresh. Great BBQ! Got take-out twice while in Galveston for a week. They were also very willing to answer my questions concerning ingredients (I need gluten-free and dairy-free.) Their coleslaw, meat, BBQ sauce, and baked beans were flavorful and met the dietary restrictions. Reasonably priced, too.
I love love love this place! It's one of a handful of favorite eateries for my husband & I on the island. Super unique, dive bar like kinda atmosphere here.. the walls & things hung up on them, the designs & style of everything, the whole place is just quirky, cozy & personable. The menu is extensive, very unique & well priced. They have a little bit of everything here kinda but they put their own spin on it kinda here... Everything is what it says on the menu, but they just have their own style, flavor & taste here with everything they cook. They have fresh sweets up at the front to grab which I love. They make fresh coffee here with a little cafe menu & have extensive customizable options for the coffee which they make fresh upon ordering. Their coffee menu options are extremely unique, super delicious & I've loved every single one & tried every single one. If you like sweet, fun, cute coffee this is definitely a go to spot on island... Their biscuits & gravy are one of my top five favorites on the island to get, I absolutely love their biscuits & gravy spin - as like I said, they have their own style of doing every dish pretty much, it's always a little unique of a taste even on traditional dishes like this one. I've heard often that this is a spot known to readily oblige dietary restrictions, food allergies & eating preferences & such also, I know I've heard that a lot & swear I've seen multiple things on the menu referencing things like vegan or organic or gluten free, but I have no restrictions myself so not sure how much they cater to that kinda thing per se... with the experiences I've had there i would go ahead & bet that's probably correct as they seem like a pretty progressive, hip & "all are equal" kinda place... Would be surprised to hear anything discriminatory or politically incorrect coming from the practices or behaviors here. They are good for breakfast lunch or dinner for sure, they do great for all three. Their prices are great, the amounts of food are good, service is always awesome, the vibe is super chill, always plenty of parking & the location is easy to find & get to being off 61st like. They can get pretty busy - not uncommon to see a line out the door, but seem to manage the high volume well & have had surprisingly low wait times for the amount of people there the few times I have waited to sit here. The place is locally owned from what I've known & the woman I've been told owns it seems very hands on & I have seen her there often working alongside the employees & talking to customers a lot herself. I love the creativity & uniqueness that went into the menu & atmosphere here & will always prefer, support & promote local spending in communities so that's always a major plus for me. For a unique, not too expensive, local & high quality eatery I would highly recommend Gypsy Joynt! It's pretty much a staple here - would def say any local has heard of it or been there. Five stars! Highly recommend!
