I have celiac disease and the first person who seated us dismissed the restaurant’s ability to serve me. Then Hayden saved the day and assured me they could make the food safe (with no cross contamination) - even checking ingredients. Thanks, Hayden!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! We had our wedding at Cha Bella, and Candice (the owner) and her team really knocked it out of the park for us! The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the food is top quality; you can really taste the difference. Candice, the owner, is such a gifted chef - when we did our tasting, my partner and I both said to each other it was one of the best meals of our lives, so we knew food would not disappoint on our wedding day. Sure enough, everyone was raving about the food and about the service, which was impeccable. We provided decorations and asked them to decorate, and they did such an amazing job making the venue look even more beautiful than it already is! Candice was kind and accommodating throughout the process of planning everything and even allowed us to have a piñata at the event, which was a huge hit (no pun intended). The event ran super smoothly, and everyone enjoyed themselves and kept complimenting us on everything - from the amazing food, to the venue, to all the details and decorations, to the amazing service. I cannot eat gluten and had several people at our wedding who also cannot, and Candice was super flexible, making everything for us completely gluten free, which was such a treat for me and my fellow celiacs/gluten intolerants. We asked her to do a dessert bar and to reduce the sugar on desserts since we like things less sweet, and she was totally flexible on that, too, and did such an amazing job! Everyone was raving about the dessert as well. We ordered some extra food to make sure people could have seconds, and we ended up with some leftovers, which Candice kindly let us take home (I know not all venues allow this). Thanks so much to Candice, the amazing event coordinators Selene and and Elise, and the whole team for throwing us such a dreamy wedding. It was the best evening, and folks kept on raving about how they wished they could go back in time and have their own weddings at Cha Bella! We don't live in Savannah but visit from time to time, and, needless to say, we'll be back to eat at Cha Bella often because we think it is the best restaurant in Savannah (and in GA, actually!). Thanks so much for making our special day stress free and beautiful. Candice and co. are the absolute best! I highly recommend Cha Bella for dinner or events - you won't regret choosing them!

The service is excellent, beginning with the staff at the front as soon as you enter. Everyone is pleasant and cheerful. I have celiac, and the server was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. It had been a hot day, and I always enjoy a chilled wedge salad after being in the heat. The salad was excellent, and the chill was just enough to cool me down after having a couple of drinks on a rooftop bar. All four guests enjoyed the same Wine is reasonably priced based on the normal restaurant charge, and two of us enjoyed a couple of bottles less one glass for someone else. Main orders consisted of 2 ribeyes, a large filet, a small filet, and a small wagyu for an appetizer. The wagyu was outstanding with just the right amount of salt to really enhance the flavor. We only ordered one side of spinach. I did not have any, just focused on my steak. Everyone enjoyed their steaks. Said they had been perfectly cooked and tasted great. I enjoyed the large filet, but not to the fullest. I understand how difficult it is to cook such a thick steak, but the top and bottom portions were very dry, flavorless, and not that appealing. The middle portion, which is the largest, was cooked perfectly. It was getting through the tasteless, overcooked outer part first that I did not enjoy. Overall, it was a good dinner. Excellent service will make you forget about minor issues. I will return soon and check out the ribeye.

The atmosphere is a nice experience. Every staff member was super welcoming and happy to help. The biscuits and whipped potatoes were very good, but a friend and I shared 2 entrees: a shrimp & scallop pasta and a salmon dish. Neither of us finished the shrimp because it was overcooked. Our expectations were high because of the restaurant's reputation, but the main courses did not live up to that at all. I should've said something at the time because our server tried hard to help, but I didn't want to be difficult. Another friend at the table had said she is gluten-free and still was served a sauce with her steak that had gluten. The server was very apologetic, but it was surprising that there was no alternative other than "we weren't supposed to bring out the sauce."

I’m not one to leave poor reviews, but we had the worst experience here tonight. I made reservations here for a party of 10 for my friend’s birthday because I had called ahead to ensure they could accommodate my food allergies. I notified our server who checked with the manager to see what could be made gluten, dairy, and egg free. I ordered the miso salmon and after it was brought to me, I noticed it had a glaze drizzled over top that looked questionable if I could eat or not due to my food allergies. I waved our server over and asked her and she said I noted your food allergies so it should be fine but I can double check with the kitchen if you want. She then came out and told me it was unsafe for me to eat and took it away and said they could remake it. I declined because at this point, I did not trust the kitchen to safely prepare a meal for me. Other people in our group ordered the ribs and steak, both of which were very dried out and difficult to even cut. The server also failed to mention they charge a 3% fee when paying with a credit card. She just brought the card reader to the table and started taking cards to pay bills. Also, we were automatically charged 20% gratuity due to our party size despite poor service, me not being able to eat, and not even having our waters refilled. The most bizarre thing was that when the server came back to our table towards the end, she said “sometimes you tell the kitchen things they don’t want to hear”. Not sure if this was in regard to my food allergies or what. Highly recommend staying away from this establishment if you have any food allergies or if you enjoy good food. Not safe one bit.

One of the best meals I've had in Savannah and also one of the most reasonably priced. They also went out of their way to make sure my friend's meal - even her cocktail - was gluten-free. The tuna ceviche was excellent, and the she crab soup was some of the best I've ever had in the South. John, who was also busy making cocktails, was our attentive and personable waiter. Really great find. We'll be back.
