Popped in earlier in the day to make a booking for the same night and got a wonderful seat outside with perfect view of the Matterhorn! They provided blankets to keep us cozy as the air got crisp, and we filled up on warm fondue and an excellent crème brûlée! The waitress was very friendly and chatty and accommodating of my gluten allergy bringing gluten free bread warmed up and potatoes!
Rustic charm meets cozy vibes in this diverse Italian spot, where tasty pizzas and a welcoming atmosphere make for a lovely evening out.

A very nice Italian restaurant on the edge of downtown Zermatt. The service was good and informed about intolerances. The food is excellent. There is even gluten-free pizza for an additional charge of 4CHF. This isn't completely homemade, but it's still ok.
Enjoy a cozy, rustic vibe while savoring homemade dishes and a fantastic selection of seasonal sides in a charming atmosphere.

Homemade food and fabulous service. All charming, making a more than pleasant experience and very attentive to food intolerances (appreciated!). Patricia gave us excellent service. As an extra point, they have delicious gluten-free bread and homemade kombucha.

I have celiacs disease and their gluten free food gave me no issues. I ordered the salmon risotto, it was amazing! Like seriously so delicious. The server knew about gluten allergies as well and was helpful and nice about it. The wine was also very good. Definitely recommend this place for the people with gluten intolerance!!
Experience vibrant flavors and excellent online ordering at this spot known for its accommodating vibe and delightful curry offerings.

Great experience with this restaurant. We love Indian Food but we have some allergy restrictions. Called the restaurant and they were super kind and accommodated our allergy concerns and even wrote on every package of it was dairy or gluten free. Really appreciate it. And above all, the food was excellent!! Not too greasy, not too spicy. Great flavors. Easy ordering online and to go experience.
A scenic hike leads to stunning views and a charming spot that makes the trek worth every step—definitely a must-visit!

There is a reason that it is difficult to get a reservation at Chez Vrony. The view and the food are fantastic. Absolutely make a reservation here.
TIPS for NON-SKIERS. It took me several asks along the way to find Chez Vrony. Its a about a 30 minute HIKE down to the restaurant. You have to have hiking boots (and maybe a hiking stick) if its really snowy you may want those grippy bottom things for your shoes.
Give yourself an HOUR to get there from Zermatt Village
You have to take the train from the Zermatt Sunnegga Station (you need a ticket for this / or your ski pass) you take this Awesome underground train up the mountain to Sunnegga and exit there. SKIERS - will simply ski down to Findeln (honestly, this is the best way to get there, but if you don't ski keep reading) NON-SKIERS (about 30 mins hike from here) - when you exit the train you will see a tunnel to the kids adventure area - walk through the tunnel. Take the small lift down to the kids area, it actually a very nice view, then exit on to the snow. You are going to walk about 100ft along the side of the ski slope and on your left you will see a HOT PINK POLES with a trail entrance - Follow the poles down the trail. You will pass through this little Hotel/village looking place - there will be PINK poles and arrows directing you to Vrony. Just follow the pink poles and trail.
You will cross a ski run/slope - walk straight across - follow the poles. You are about 5 mins away at this point. Good Job!
You will see Vrony flags and the restaurant.
OK - Now to get back. I went back the same way I came down, mostly because I knew the path and so I felt sure of myself. It is uphill which was a hall, but since I was not skiing that day (huge mistake on my part) I wanted the exercise. You can ask the staff at Vrony and they will advise on alternative options like hiking down to a chair lift and taking that up to Sunnegga. You have to take the underground train back down to Zermatt.
OK. Real quick on the food. YUM!!! Get the cheese fondue, its so fun, and warm, and Swiss (they have gluten free bread if you ask). My kids had the One and Only Vrony Burger - it was delicious and it should be for 40 francs.
The view is amazing and the Matterhorn, is well, majestic.
Hope this helps. I should have taken more photos of the path, but I didn't think about writing this till it was all over.
Enjoy Zermatt.
Expect a unique farm-to-table vibe with thoughtful, creative dishes and a fantastic wine selection, though the ambiance could use a touch more warmth.

The server asked (in English) if we had any dietary restrictions first thing. We have 2 gluten free and all 4 vegetarian in our family. The menu indicated allergens in all items. The server spoke with the kitchen and offered us an additional GF vegetarian dish that was not on the menu. We were even served GF rolls. It was a delicious experience.
An intimate spot with a cozy vibe, perfect for a leisurely meal; book ahead for a memorable dining experience!

Loved dining here for our final night in Zermatt! Make a booking a few days in advance as it’s intimate with just around a dozen tables. Made for an excellent atmosphere and we enjoyed a leisurely fondue meal! They were very aware of allergens and able to accommodate gluten free with warmed bread and potatoes.
This place was incredible! Tastefully decorated, wonderful menu, and very friendly staff. I noted in my reservation that we would be dining there for my father’s 65th birthday, and they went above and beyond to make our meal special! Also worth mentioning is that the staff made the extra effort to provide gluten green bread for my sister. Great wine selection too - not that I know anything about wine, but the bottle we ordered was great :)
Authentic vibes and a warm atmosphere make this spot a top choice in Zermatt, with a great value for memorable meals.

Tinyest portion of apple strudel we ever encountered. 13 CHF, thin and small but fresh and tasty
Simple Lipton paper teabag tea.
We were the only ones inside not having a fondue.
Felt very touristy, in a very touristy main street and city.
Not a place for gluten free seekers as well
This spot combines a sleek, modern vibe with an unforgettable culinary experience, showcasing impressive flavors and customizable options that keep guests coming back.

While looking for gluten free options in Zermatt, we called to ask if they could make accommodations. While they were initially unsure, they actually called back to confirm that the chef had said he would be able to make accommodations. After enjoying our first dinner there, we ended up spending three more meals with them. The unassuming and clean modern look of the restaurant makes the food all the more impressive. The lamb filet mignon melted in the mouth like butter and the parsley risotto was a work of art. The chef adapted the Pollack dish to be gluten free and it was incredible. The chicken breast was juicy and perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. The entrecôte cubes were delicious and had both delightful outer crust and a perfect pink medium rare inside. All of the gluten free desserts were delicious. The great food was enhanced by the experience of the wonderful team, especially Roman, who always had great recommendations and went out of his way to make sure that the kitchen could make accommodations based on our needs. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we recommended it to at least four other couples we met during our time in Zermatt.
Experience an unforgettable dining ambiance with stunning dishes and a memorable dessert that will leave you craving more.

My husband and I ate at le grill cervin our last night in Zermatt for our honeymoon. The food was absolutely incredible. We ordered the winter leaf salad and it was truly the most beautiful salad I’ve ever seen. It not only looked beautiful but tasted delicious. We also shared the Grand Cru Swiss double sirloin steak with roasted vegetables , I had rosemary potatoes and my husband had the potatoes au gratin. I am being fully honest when I say it was the best steak I’ve ever eaten. It was so tender and flavorful, and the side dishes were amazing. I’m also gluten free, so I was provided gluten free bread alongside my meal which was delicious. For dessert, we had stracciatella ice cream and Mozart white chocolate liqueur alongside it. Both were Heaven. My husband loved the Mozart liqueur so much that when we got home we found some online and had it shipped some to our home in the states. Incredible restaurant and atmosphere!

Really heartful and authentic gourmet South American fare. Everything on the menu is excellent and inspired. Perfect for sharing tapas style. Incredibly fresh ingredients. Lots of gluten-free options. Warm and passionate staff. Chef from Colombia. We had a lot of great food in Zermatt, but this was the only place we came back in the same trip. So worth it. Try the half baked cheesecake for dessert.
The rudest waiter even I see. I asked what do you have gluten free, and he just said «nothing» without even thinking. I had to find another waitress and she confirmed that they have gluten free buns for burgers. You need to to wait 2 hours to get served. I guess of if you want just a beer it’s ok, but nothing more

A classic Swiss menu. The fondu can be done gluten free with just potatoes. They brought us spoons so that my partner who eats bread could spoon fondu over his bread without contaminating the fondu. The serving size is huge. It was way too much fondu for us to eat but it was tasty.

We were a family of 4 with multiple dietary requirements. All food came as ordered with Gluten free soya sauce. The waiter was very understanding and cooperative. The chef was very professional and friendly.. He showed up to our table to greet us, provided us with a complementary Sushi, and at the end ensured we enjoyed the food and the experience.

Beautiful restaurant with a fantastic view and wonderfully friendly staff. The food was delicious (I had the fried artichokes and Parmigiana) and the atmosphere was so chill. Would definitely come back again!
I’m also gluten free and this was well catered for!
