Tacos Gardenias has the best tasting, most authentic tacos that I have ever eaten in my life. Our host, Bravo, is our favorite person we have met this trip. My partner has celiac disease so finding food that doesn't have wheat/gluten or cross contamination on this trip to Cabos has been quite the challenge. Bravo assured us that there were separated areas where they prepared things with gluten, and another area for things without gluten. They also serve breakfast in the morning! I have to mention the guacamole, it was the freshest best guacamole I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. My partner ate everything and felt great afterwards, as well as the rest of us on this trip; we will probably make another trip to this restaurant before going back home. I can't speak highly enough of Tacos Gardenias, it was the highlight of our trip to Cabo San Lucas and the marina.

Nice place for brunch. Food is good, between too healthy and healthy; plenty of options to choose from including gluten free ones. Prices are a bit high, but okay for San Miguel Allende. Services isn't great though. Staff is super friendly but they forgot some requests we made, didn't hear us when we called and so on. So be patient. The restaurant itself has a rustic style.

BEST TACOS EVER!!! I had the la gringo taco which was AMAZING!! I also had the cheese crust pastor good but not as amazing as the above. My husband had the ribeye tacos and he said these were the best he's ever had. My kids and in laws enjoyed theirs too. The reason I took 1 star away is because after my MIL said she could not eat gluten they gave her a flour shell. Because of this she was not feeling well last night. Other then that everything was great. For desert we had the churros which were good but not as delicious as the corn cake!!! That desert is probably one of the best I've ever had and I own a bakery!!

Very tasty food prepared with lots of love. Many gluten-free options. They left out the croutons from the Caesar salad and served extra buns made from plantain for the burger. Extremely tasty and the fries are the tastiest on the island.

I found this place on the Find me Gluten Free app and it is a paradise for celiacs. They use only corn flour and everything is suitable (with the exception of a meat that has black sauce). One of the few times I have been able to eat in a traditional, non-touristy place, without worrying.

A superb experience of local flavor and vibe. Food and service top. Wait staff and bar of Angel, Gerardo and Daniel know their craft and the kitchen chefs Joss and Annabel just fabulous. An all vegan menu with proteins and sauces that blend a variety of seasonings and local ingredients. Corn ribs, empanadas, mixiote de setas a special treat. Plenty gluten free options Highly recommended.

My favorite tacos in the world! All made from blue corn so totally fine for gluten free people like me. Order the chicken tinga and chuleta. Also the pan de elote - sweet cornbread. My friend is obsessed with the caramel-y sauce that comes with it on the side (I find it too sweet with it). My vegan friend said the mole taco was the best taco she’s ever had in her life, period. The hibiscus drink is a tad too sugary for me but that’s the case everywhere on the island so I just dilute it a bit. They’re super nice here and food comes out fast! I came here three times in four days the last time I was in Cozumel. Also if you do take out, the food is actually shockingly still pretty hot as they wrap it up really well, which I appreciate.

What a spot in bacalar. Was reccomended by numerous people before. Loads of taco filling options. Good for gluten free and veggies! The burritos are quite greasy I’d recommend the tacos more. Great margaritas as well

Excellent food and service. The menu consists of traditional Mayan dishes that are prepared using traditional methods. There are a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options. Vicente served us and was very friendly and spoke great English. He showed us a demo of how they make chocolate, and spice mixes. He also showed us the garden in the restaurant where they collect ingredients used in the drinks and food. Well worth the cost and it was a great experience in addition to the food!

We visited Los Loosers in Nov'23 - This place is a mushroom-lover dream come true! Their menu is packed with creative, (mostly) gluten-free dishes that are absolutely delicious. I'm obsessed with their mushroom creations – they're mind-blowing! Plus, the cool atmosphere and fast service make it a total winner.

This place was recommended to me by multiple people, so my friends and I walked here from Medano Beach to have lunch. I liked the casual/open-air dining vibes because we were all just wearing swim suits and cover-ups. The waitress was kind, but I think she was the only one serving people; she would disappear for a while before coming back and then I realized the restaurant was split in half. There was a whole other side with more seating, so the service was slow. FYI it's CASH ONLY! We didn't have enough so my friend and I had to frantically find a bank ATM. I like how they give you free sauces (I love the avocado sauce) and the divided platter of toppings (cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro, onions, pickled onions) to top your own tacos. I think this is super unique and wish they had stuff like this in the states. That being said, the tacos just come with the meat and tortilla. After taking one bite, I realized it was a flour and not corn tortilla, which is unusual for tacos. Normally they automatically come on corn tortillas (I'm gluten-intolerant). If you can't have gluten, make sure to ask for corn tortillas. I asked the waitress to switch out the tortillas but she said they were out, so I had could only eat the meat of my taco which was disappointing. I would give 3 stars because I just wasn't able to enjoy my experience as much as if I'd been able to eat the taco normally on a corn tortilla, however the meat was VERY GOOD so I know it would've tasted even better had it been on a corn tortilla. My friends really liked their flour tortilla tacos (some of them actually prefer flour tortillas to corn). You should definitely get the lengua, shrimp, and carnitas taco. The meat was very flavorful and juicy. The horchata was awesome as well. Price point is pretty cheap, too.

⭐⭐⭐ I'm vegan + Medical Medium + gluten-free and mostly fat-free and corn-free. My way of eating can be hard to maintain while traveling. But at the Taquería El Mexicano was very helpful and made a special dish just for me with veggies and potatoes 🥔 🥕🥬 The waitress was very help and made sure she was right about all my special need by asking in the kitchen 👍🏻 🧈🧀 It's important to order “sin manteca [animal fat often used for cooking vegetarian dishes] and sin queso [cheese]”. 🍉For drinks I had a watermelon juice from the menu. Remember to order without sugar [sin azúcar]. The dish was a mix of veggies fried on the pan (zucchini , free beans, carrots, onion and cabbage). The dish was a little oily but I forgot to ask for it without oil only “sin manteca” The potatoes turned out to be french fries - but I wasn't specific on that part when ordering, and of course I'll get french fries in a touristic area as Cozumel, since that's what most tourists want 🤷🏻‍♀️ The dish had no spice added at all, so I added some habanero salsa, and it was fine. I think I would have had better luck ordering a salad 🥗 The watermelon juice was huge and very delicious 😋 ⭐⭐⭐ I would love my vegan gluten free dish 3⭐ and 5⭐ for the watermelon juice. My family was more satisfied with their meals and especially the huge drinks, so I'll give it 5⭐ for the drinks 4⭐overall. The food was great they had gluten-free options for my wife. The service was great. the only issue we ran into was that the bathrooms could use some attention. Light was burnt out, nothing to dry hands with, and no tp.

My son and I spotted this place when we were walking to the Thai restaurant down the street. We both immediately had the same thought: that’s our kind of place. You could tell at a glance they would have great tacos. The sign said: “Best tacos in town” and we believed it. We brought my husband there that night, (reluctantly, on his part), and he ended up loving it! We are vegans and my son and I are gluten-free. We always have to check menus before we go, and then double-check ingredients when we arrive. At Taco Linda’s, they offer mushroom tacos, pumpkin blossom and “corn truffle.” (It’s an overgrowth on the corn that’s considered a delicacy. It’s not pretty in photos, but it’s very tasty.) By the way, for those with celiac disease, I don’t know if there any wheat items on the menu or if cross-contamination could be an issue. So, make your own inquiries if you are highly sensitive. We’ve eaten there three times already because we love the tacos. It is probably the most authentic place we’ve eaten on any of our trips to Mexico. The mushroom tacos remind me of this incredible street taco I had in Sayulita. The tortillas taste light and fresh with a lovely hint of corn. A small portion of warm tortilla chips free with the meal. The toppings for the tacos set the place apart;🌵 cactus, onion, two kinds of salsa and sour cream. These toppings come on a tray so you can mix and match to your heart’s content. We skipped the sour cream and added a lot of cactus. We also loved the small bowl of warm pinto beans that came with the meal. These beans are delicious eaten alone or with the tacos. Service was great on all three visits. Our server spoke excellent English, but also willingly switched right over to Spanish for our son, who is fluent in Spanish. Food arrived quickly and he easily kept an attentive eye on everyone in the place. If you’re in the area and want authentic tacos, or truly the best tacos in town, Tacos Linda is the place to go.
